After owning three 6 gen AMD cards (6750XT, 6800, 6900XT) I went with a gently used 4080 a few months ago and I’m not looking back. All three AMD cards had random crashes, and the 6900xt had noticeable coil whine that drove me crazy. I got tired of messing with DDU and drivers. AMD is great value for the price, but my Nvidia experience is that their cards seem better supported and more stable.
Yeah thats true i have a 6600 xt and having random driver crashs its a shame kus fsr is really getting close to dlss performance but its doesn't matter if they dont fix the driver issues 😢 Im planning to buy a 4070 ti super soon
@@glayconvitalgomessilva4532 I do a lot of online multiplayer team games with friends and the worst is when we are in the middle of a competitive team game and my AMD card would just randomly crash. It happened so sporadically too. Sometimes no crashes for a few days and then sometimes I’d have it crash three times in a gaming session. I tried DDU and rolling back drivers, I tested my memory, etc, etc. I’ve had the 4080 for a few months now and not one single crash. It’s just rock solid.
I actually care about power efficiency, which is why I got an RTX4060. It is genuinely a good thing to have, especially when building small cases and needing to keep the cooling compact. Is it worth it to everyone, no, probably not even most, but I still find it impressive that it is beating cards that draw over 50% more power, and doing so while being almost silent. That is a quality, if maybe not enough to justify the price.
I can’t wait to buy my first pc parts on prime day! When I asked about the build you said to get an SSD with DRAM instead of the one I had selected I found one so now I’d say I’m ready to order for prime day!

5800X3D can handle 7900XTX just fine. You should have kept it for couple of years more at least. Well unless you play at 1080p Low at 540Hz monitor I guess .

4070 Super is a very good 4K60 card despite having less VRAM then 7800XT and 7900GRE. Most games don't use so much VRAM that 12GB is huge a problem. Also 12GB on RTX card is the equivalent of 14+ on AMD card in most games. I've seen multiple benchmarks. Biggest had 15 or so games. Maybe a lot more,I don't remember. In 1440p,12GB on RTX cards will be sufficient for many years to come. When it's not enough, it's usually due to bad drivers which is usually fixed in time. I wonder if tech influencers such as yourself will ever be willing to test that AND with VRAM usage shown on screen during recorded gameplay. Again GAMEPLAY,not In-Built Benchmarks that are often not representative of true gameplay experience. VRAM usage on RX Vs RTX Vs Arc . Not just in most popular 5 - 10 games , but in something like 50 games from past several years.

Will get RX6600 or A750 for Dragon Age Veilguard and do full new PC upgrade around December 2025/January 2026 with 5070 or maybe 5070 Super will be out by then.

It pairs well with the cpu i will say you will miss out on some performance in cpu heavy games the 4070 ti super is alittle faster than the 5800x 3d but the 5800x 3d still runs high fps you would just get more with a 7800x 3d in some games but either way you will always be above 100fps

@@bennyang03 you will love it i also run a 5800x 3d with mine i just ssen it perform better with a 7800x 3d the only time i go under 120 fps is when i do 4k but even then i still get high 80s mid 90s and in alot of games even at 4k im pushing over 120 fps. so i mean just to give you an idea of how good it is

I was deciding between a 4060 and 6750 XT several weeks ago for a similar price and chose the latter because I don't want to use upscaling at all and better raw performance allows that. I also already use over 8gbs of VRAM in many games. Very satisfied so far.
Well upscaling is available on RX6750XT as well. On average DLSS is better,but FSR picture quality has significantly improved. You will eventually be fine with it , I am sure .
The 8GB problem of the 4060 is a big problem! The 4060 is the only that make sense for my needs but I don't want to buy only 8GB card for $300 especially not in 2024. :( . . . Sadly the older 3060 has so much more power consumption and AMD graphics card likely doesn't do it for me.
4080 super!! I legit just went for it and wow am I happy I did. 4080 super, dlss3 with frame gen, amazing ray tracing lighting and shadows performance which for me makes or breaks a game. Nobody talks about it but nvidias lighting when you actually understand calibrating is better. People in our community never talk about eotf or calibrations thwy think let's buy a card throw it in turn everything up and go! Then complain about things they see. You should always at least look for your display to not clip. So at least dial in the correct brightness so you can enjoy the amazing image quality. Again it makes or breaks a game for me. Lighting and shadows. I have been so surprised to see how people use these high end gpus with crazy brightness clipping all of there white detail amd going more brightness! If they actually saw a truey nice image tracking the eotf curve and maintaining color details they would never go back. Imo with calibration nvidia edges out amd. Something about the highlight and details with the correct settings. Amd is nice out of the box with color though for sure!

@kevinkarlwurzelgaruti458 for sure I'm saying people just don't do it. It changes the look so much. Color depth, separation aka contrast. Color detail. Highlight details. It makes the cards come alive. People just max shit out and go yes more brightness! Then you see this white blob of light and miss so much. I just think people are missing an entire step most of the time and losing out on even more enjoyment. To Me just the eotf curve if you can get that dialed in you will enjoy it 2x as much. Heck if people would just turn down the brightness slightly and allow for less clipping it's game changing.
Would it be worth waiting for 50 series of NVIDIA cards or would it be better going for 40 series because the new 50 series of cards will be ungodly expensive and or potentially lead towards AMD?
The current best prices (tax included) for the Arc cards where I live: A380 - $122 A580 - $185 A750 - $260 A770 8GB - $272 A770 16GB - $333 For reference, the RX 6600 - $209, RX 7600 - $263 and RX 7600 XT - $332.
imma say this, the reason the 4070 ti super isnt selling as well is bc it gets 15-20% more preformance then the 4070 super but costs 30-40% more, the only way im getting the 4070 ti super is if it goes down to £600-650 on amazon prime day
When looking to upgrade I looked at the TI Super as being a cut down 4080 ( ad 102 core ) and wasn't really a 4070 since the rest of the line up used AD 103 core. The 16GB at 256 bit bus of VRAM was also where I wanted a future proof GPU ( the other 4070s are 12GB at only 192 bit bus ).
20% ? That actually wouldn't be super terrible. In most benchmarks I've seen,the difference was less than 10% . Perhaps I watched wrong benchmarks. For Advanced Content Creation ,the Ti Super is likely worth it over ordinary Super .

AMD cards you say are 230 USD=211 euros ARE 300 euros here. And as an old DX9 gamer, 4060 at 300 euros is actually nice. Best hitter 7600 is 292 euros= 317 USD.

@@ScatterVolt it still don't have the raytracing power though so I mean personally i like having good completive power but also good raytracing so when i play games that aren't competitive i can crank everything up for the best looking graphics' so I still think the 4070 TI Super beats it. but if people only play comp games then yeah 7900xt makes sense but if you want it all really high fps with raytracing the 4070 ti super is the card.
Not even remotely. The only potential problem is that 6800 needs significantly better PSU. 200W higher. On paper maybe not , but 6800 can have significant power spikes. If you have bad PSU , it can damage or kill your PC
Im honestly confused why you’d recommend a 4070TI super when the 4070 super is 10fps less on basically every game for $200 less than a 4070ti. 10 FPS more for $200 more is not worth it in any market.
Make sure you have minimum 850W PSU with very good reviews from places like Tomshardware, Kit Guru, Tech Power Up , Hardware Busters come to mind . Anandtech perhaps as well. That GPU has nasty power spikes and so less than 850W is risky. 750W? If not for those power spikes , it would be fine. But because of them 750W would be asking for trouble . Perhaps not with really high end units, but those are expensive and it's better to go with very good 850 or 1000W for about same price or less.

I also hit the silicon lottery I got a huge stable over clock with 200 on the core and 1500 on the memory. I'm within 6 fps of being a base 4080 and the temp's don't pass 60 degrees Celsius. I have 10 of corsairs last gen high end Elite Airflow RGB fans 6 intake and 4 exhaust fans in a 5000D Airflow case

Audible Coil wine depends on the specific Graphics Cards model .
Nvidia is hardly immune to it , but I am pleased you are enjoying your 4080

I’m honestly quite happy with my txt 4060 ti 8gb cause I got it second hand for 275$ which I think is a good deal

I was deciding between a 4060 and 6750 XT several weeks ago for a similar price and chose the latter because I don't want to use upscaling at all and better raw performance allows that. I also already use over 8gbs of VRAM in many games. Very satisfied so far.
Well upscaling is available on RX6750XT as well.
On average DLSS is better,but FSR picture quality has significantly improved.
You will eventually be fine with it , I am sure .

4080 super!! I legit just went for it and wow am I happy I did.
4080 super, dlss3 with frame gen, amazing ray tracing lighting and shadows performance which for me makes or breaks a game. Nobody talks about it but nvidias lighting when you actually understand calibrating is better.
People in our community never talk about eotf or calibrations thwy think let's buy a card throw it in turn everything up and go! Then complain about things they see.
You should always at least look for your display to not clip. So at least dial in the correct brightness so you can enjoy the amazing image quality. Again it makes or breaks a game for me. Lighting and shadows.
I have been so surprised to see how people use these high end gpus with crazy brightness clipping all of there white detail amd going more brightness! If they actually saw a truey nice image tracking the eotf curve and maintaining color details they would never go back.
Imo with calibration nvidia edges out amd. Something about the highlight and details with the correct settings. Amd is nice out of the box with color though for sure!

I got the Gigabyte Gaming OC 4070 TI super and man i hit the silicon lottery I got 200 on the core and 1500 on the memory and the card runs every game stable under 60 degrees Celsius and I'm within 6 fps of it being a base 4080 its nuts i love my card and i got it for 749.99 plus 10% tax but I really only have a little over 400 in the card because i sold my old gpu for 400.
@kevinkarlwurzelgaruti458 for sure I'm saying people just don't do it. It changes the look so much. Color depth, separation aka contrast. Color detail. Highlight details. It makes the cards come alive. People just max shit out and go yes more brightness! Then you see this white blob of light and miss so much. I just think people are missing an entire step most of the time and losing out on even more enjoyment.
To Me just the eotf curve if you can get that dialed in you will enjoy it 2x as much. Heck if people would just turn down the brightness slightly and allow for less clipping it's game changing.

$650 for a 7900 XT is god tier. I would also say the RX 7600 at $230 is the budget GPU king now (unless AMD is just teasing us with the price drop).

imma say this, the reason the 4070 ti super isnt selling as well is bc it gets 15-20% more preformance then the 4070 super but costs 30-40% more, the only way im getting the 4070 ti super is if it goes down to £600-650 on amazon prime day
When looking to upgrade I looked at the TI Super as being a cut down 4080 ( ad 102 core ) and wasn't really a 4070 since the rest of the line up used AD 103 core.
The 16GB at 256 bit bus of VRAM was also where I wanted a future proof GPU ( the other 4070s are 12GB at only 192 bit bus ).

@@ScatterVolt it still don't have the raytracing power though so I mean personally i like having good completive power but also good raytracing so when i play games that aren't competitive i can crank everything up for the best looking graphics' so I still think the 4070 TI Super beats it. but if people only play comp games then yeah 7900xt makes sense but if you want it all really high fps with raytracing the 4070 ti super is the card.
