I was born in the Lady Reading Hospital , Simla in 1933 , we left in 1947 for Pakistan . I still recollect vividly my wonderful childhood and the lovely memories of Simla !

This is difference between aesthetically designed cities and pathetically destroyed cities. Shimla was designed by Britishers Summer Capital & 26 Square Kms Lutyens Zone New Delhi. Now Shimla is called another Sangam Vihar full of congestion/Chaos, Crime & Corruption, Living Hell. 40,000 Buildings in Shimla & 20 Lakhs buildings in outer periphery of Nark Delhi had been declared dangerous if high density of earthquake strike minimum 2/3 Lakhs people will die in Shimla & 2/3 Crores in Nark Delhi will die simultaneously. Be aware?

At least after the cleansing, people and authorities will wake up and come to know that Hills stations must not be turned into capitals. A grim thought, but I see no other way people will stop populating Shimla.
