- Chicago rapper FBG Cash was fatally shot around 5:38am this morning in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood's 1600 block of West 81st Street in his home town of Chicago.
An unknown assailant reportedly approached in a black four-door sedan (said to possibly be a Cadillac) before exiting the vehicle and opening fire on Cash, who was sitting in a vehicle with an unnamed female. Cash was hit an unknown number of times and transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he was later pronounced deceased. The female was hit in the arm and back and also transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center in “serious condition”.
Police said the assailant got back into the sedan after the incident and fled westbound. At this point nobody is in custody & detectives are investigating.
The 31-year-old rapper, who formerly went by the names Cashout063 & Cashout was involved with the Chicago Drill scene since it began in the early 2010s as a part of FBG alongside other rappers like FBG Duck, FBG Young & FBG Dutchie. Despite his many trips to the penitentiary Cash managed to keep his buzz alive & only recently made it onto bigger platforms like NoJumper.
