This one and a few other intro-spective viewpoints about your environment that make every bit of sense. It all comes down to having respect for others and control of one's ego. I still need to comment on your recent vlog when you were cruising thru my old neighborhood - literally, where i walked around as a teen. Those jungle covered ruins acroos the street from Aqua planet was once family housing for officers - kept in pristine conditions by live in hired help. There is a rich history in there. But the gist will be to give a little background behind that structure you found curious about - the Elephant Cage/Filipino Expo from 2000. Its an interesrting story about big accomplishments and failures

Gosh i remember as a kid at my grandparents we would play as the adults sat around and talked until the mosquitos got too bad. Great summer nights on the lake in East Tennessee. Keep enjoying it. My time is getting closer. One day I will just pop up. 😂

You kind of allude to this in your videos: you moved to the Philippines because you were lonely (friends don’t have time; no gf, etc.) in the states. I’m sure there are many other reasons but loneliness seems to have been the main driver for your moving to the PI. No judgement from me because it seems like there is a loneliness epidemic amongst men in the states and it’s causing some men to move to other countries. But… Here’s the thing: as a foreigner, it’s not uncommon to feel lonely in places like Thailand, Philippines, etc. because you don’t speak the language fluently or fully align with the local culture/norms, so it can be difficult to fully integrate. It can also feel like the locals/women are always trying scam you or get something from you, which may be the reason why locals act so friendly towards foreigners. As others have said, and let’s be honest with ourselves, most filipinos/Thai view foreigners as ATM machines. So they’re incentivized to be nice towards us, steal from us, or possibly un-alive us to get what they want. It’s a sad reality and it can be hard to tell what a person’s true motives are. My point is the grass is not always greener on the other side.
