If the ICC really care about the advancement of Nepal Cricket they should have encourage them to do so . I believe if Nepal start embracing four -day format in their domestic league in the next two year Nepal can start play test cricket the ball is in your court the Nepal Cricket Association it a pity the I I C C does not have the vision to point out this
Actually our cricket board was in suspension. ICC was paying our cricketers instead of our board. ICC has done a lot to us but our government has done nothing to Cricket. More investment goes to Football (which we suck at) than Cricket. We really need domestic Cricket circuit and good stadium. Some franchise leagues like PPL, DPL are growing but we don't have tournaments like Ranji Trophy in India. EPL (our version of IPL) was scheduled for December 2019 with stars like Gayle, Amla and other big names but it got postponed. Only domestic cricket can save our cricket. Otherwise we will never qualify for Cricket World Cup again.
We badly need good quality provincial teams (or 2 teams per province) for four day first class leagues and One Day Leagues !! we further need cricket stadium throughout or nearby big cities like Ktm, Pokhara, Butwal, Dharan, Dhangadhi, Nepaljung, Narayangadh, Biratnagar and CAN must look forward to investing in big standard franchise league like EPL !! Regular tours to and from countries of its level including UAE, USA, PNG, Canada, Hong Kong, Singapore, Oman, Kenya, Namibia and a slightly higher level including Ireland, Scotland, Netherlands, Afghanistan, and Zimbabwe wood be an added benefit. Hope TU Ground improves its status, Fapla and Mulpani project gets completed, Pokhara Stadium gets upgraded and never to mention Gautam Buddha Int'l Stadium completes soon.
