Really like it, especially the way you show how to use it in a hybrid set up. I've used an ID44 for years now and would deffo upgrade to the 48 based on your review. 🤘🤘
I love this review! It’s super informative and does a great job showcasing the Audient iD44 in real rock/metal/band scenarios. Currently, I’m using the Audient iD24 and loving it so far-Audient preamps are definitely my favorite. I have a suggestion and a question, though! One thing I appreciate about the iD24 is the send/return after the preamp, which allows me to integrate outboard gear before recording. It’d be awesome to see the iD24 in action with a compressor like the Universal Audio UAFX 1176, LA-2A, or even the UAFX Max Preamp & Dual Compressor for vocal recording-even though those are technically "guitar" pedal compressors. I think it would really showcase its versatility!
So Mic Insert bypasses the ID48s preamps so the signal goes straight to the converters, like the return jacks on channels 1 and 2 of the ID24/ID44, right?
Well, new Audient interface looks pretty interesting, but I heard some dropoffs here and there in your voice (hope it's just a stupid youtube audio compression algorithms not the converters of id48)🤔
@KohleAudioKult yeah, seems like I'm not the only one who've noticed that. In previous comments other guys also said about some glitches, maybe it's a drivers or PC, who knows
too much background noise when you talk man, i don't know is the interface sucks ? is you setup sucks ? you forgot denoise or clean you voice mic ? what sucks here ? :) i am listen it on headphones btw
@@lordhammerwindI would prefer a dedicated HI-Z output straight from the interface at this price point. Any interface with a spare output ‘can’ reamp. But best practice is to put a device after the line out to bring the impedance up to what a guitar would produce
My first Audio Interface review on this channel. Trying to do it a little differently.
How did you like it? I appreciate your honest opinion! 😎

Great video. I liked how you show cased how it would work with other items.
Great Review! Fat drumsound when you crushed the room mikes!
Cool to see a Harrison product. I’m a fan of them, I think they are pretty underrated. Their gear is way more musical than one would think.
When are we getting the Mick Thomson video? So excited for it!
Still need to do some editing. But it’s very close
Thanks a lot! Excellent video because focused on the most interesting feature of this interface :)
LOVE the sound of the track!
All ribbon mics from AEA. Watch the other video to see more.
Very cool, love the drum processing. I can hear a hiss on the talking mic, though. Is that your computer fan or what... not the preamps, right?
Yes, that’s the fan
Nice, will this be your new interface for your Kreative Devices mobile rig?
Yes. This will be replacing my Evo, I guess
The sound is fantastic and the price is very reasonable.
Well damn, I think this might be my next audio interface!
🔥 Another good one
Hey there Kristian, noticed some audio cut offs, is this something on my end or did you notice this as well?
I heard some glitches too, probably happened when he was exporting the video and he didn't catch it
Heard them too in the dialogue. Like the upload was affected in some way.
Or it could be the "beta" drivers from Audient mentioned in the video :)
Sick, I got the ID14 MKII and it's made my recordings sound far less shit. Excellent product!
Indeed!
So Mic Insert bypasses the ID48s preamps so the signal goes straight to the converters, like the return jacks on channels 1 and 2 of the ID24/ID44, right?
Yes. But this time it’s switchable
@KohleAudioKult Thanks! That in itself is a huge selling point. Guess I'm in trouble
Is it still TheSycon drivers?
Whoa those mickey mouse headphones caught me off guard.
I had to kill a mouse to get them!

Really? Maybe that’s something on your side. Everything clean here! But I’ll have another listen.

1000 euros no reamp bad sofitware sorry Avid MBOX Studio is only 698 € and at Presonus Quantum HD8 890€ are my options
Had to repost your opinion after being wrong, eh?
That presonus unit looks pretty cool if the reamp output is good
too much background noise when you talk man, i don't know is the interface sucks ? is you setup sucks ? you forgot denoise or clean you voice mic ? what sucks here ? :) i am listen it on headphones btw
NO REAMP for the price is hummm not convince
You can ABSOLUTELY reamp with this--even the id44 is capable. You just send from your secondary monitor outs using DAW THRU.
@@lordhammerwind Yep, through 3 and 4 as you say on DAW THRU. Just done some guitar reamps with the ID44 and a Palmer Daccapo.

@dylanjastle okay, vEGeTa
I use dedicated reamping boxes. But I gotta say that a dedicated reamp out is a good idea if it sounds good
