I stay in Cape Town... we drive the 2 hours to Hermanus every year. . To walk around gearing point. The same trail as you... We normally take picnic baskets... we cant really afford that extremely expensive restaurants... but it's a great place to visit every year... Hermanus is simply spectacular.
Can you easily spot whales from the trail? The boat tours are expensive
