    It is always interesting to find something new. This doll, as well as the Designer, i have never heard of.
    Very nice doll, high quality too! I love the Details on her body.
    Thanks for showcasing her

      Really!? It is such a shame that independent doll artists don't get the recognition they deserve. Jozef started making dolls in this slender model style before Integrity Toys and Barbie Model Muse too. She is a gorgeous doll and such high quality too 🥰

    She is gorgeous! This is a fashion doll. I love the rich my 79 yr old husband just died and I’m off to Paris to get a new wardrobe to mourn.

    She's gorgeous!!!!! The details on the clothes and accessories are very impressive specially the dress being lined in such a delicate fabric, I have never owned a doll in that specific scale but if I was to get one it would definitively be one of these, they look amazing!
    I have never heard of Jozef before but am very impressed!!!

    • @DeanReen
      @DeanReen  Год назад +2

      Thank you ❤️ Definitely! I was shocked to see the tricot lining everything is impeccably made and I guess that is why Jozef insisted on overseeing the production of the dolls himself. It's very impressive ❤️😊

    Thanks for this video Dean. Because before it, I was mispronouncing Mr. Szekeres name as "scares." LOL That was a lovely wedding gift for you, and congratulations! I have a fondness for pink haired dolls like you do the orange haired ones.
    I bought 2 of the first Kotalin when they first came out in 2003. Well one then, the beautiful blonde one. And the other stunning black haired one a while later on an auction site for less. I never pay much money for dolls. But when I first saw the Kotalin doll it was the most beautiful doll I'd ever seen, and really I still feel that way about it. So I've never regretted paying full price for that first doll. As you know, the quality is amazing. I don't mind the lack of it being fully articulated, as the first dolls weren't. Their body is like a work of art in marble, the skin is so pale and perfect. This artist is unfortunately not spoken of enough as amazing as his dolls are to own and display. You never tire of looking at them they are so well done. I think your doing such a glowing review video of that Oz doll IS the gift you gave back to him. So that other doll collectors can discover his fantastic work. BTW, it says on a website I happened upon, if this info is correct, I don't know? That both of the early dolls are named for his sister Elizabet Kotalin. 🎄Happy Holidays to you and your Husband.🥂

      I'm not crazy about pink haired dolls for some reason. I've had a few over the years and sold them all. I think orange is close to being ginger so I can tolerate it a bit more than pink 😂 It's very difficult to get ones work out there. It's like you need some kind of magical social media knowledge or something. I feel like it's just getting harder with all these algorithms etc.

    I just unboxed mine, too! If you never found out about her name, Jozef is of Hungarian background, and Katalin is a popular girls name (two of my cousins are called Katalin!) and if you try to pronounce it in English, spelling it "Kotalin" is slightly more accurate to the phonetic pronunciation in Hungarian.

      She really is and such a dream to photography. I like her styled more simply though but that is person preference. The stole/stockings/bag etc. are a bit much for me. Thank you! ❤️😊 It is paisley and somewhat Indian inspired so that makes sense 😊

    Jozef’s dolls are gorgeous, but i find them a bit intimidating.
    They’re so massive.

    • @DeanReen
      @DeanReen  Год назад

      Me too! But now I have 3 larger dolls in my collection and I am getting used to it 😂 This doll is extremely easy to pose and photograph, and things like messy hair aren't so much of a big deal on this scale too 🥰

    Hey, DR, I have a question that I would like to see your answer for. Someone just commented on one of my videos this comment:
    "As a guy with over 400 action figures in my bedroom I gotta say…collecting dolls made for little girls as a grown man is super weird of you"
    I made a community response to this on my channel. How would you answer him?

    • @DeanReen
      @DeanReen  Год назад +1

      They're not worth your time and energy. Just delete, block if necessary and keep on doing what you enjoy. Hope you are well ❤️

    While I admire the design and style, I cannot justify the cost for the dolls. When they are approaching the equivalent of a car payment or mortgage payment, I have to pause, look, and politely say no thank you. Now, if the dolls were handmade (not sent to a factory), I would reconsider. But, knowing that $500 can make roughly 750 basic resin dolls in Japan, my inner economic voice won’t shut up. 😂

    • @DeanReen
      @DeanReen  Месяц назад

      Yes, I understand that. I've been finding that the limit to how much I spend on a doll gets lower and lower each time. Many expensive dolls I buy just don't feel worth it. At the end of the day they are little plastic figures and you can buy other plastic figures for under $100 🤷🏼‍♂️
