Incredbly smooth, powerful, confident surfing. Great flow and timing throughout all of his heats. He made it look easy

I am so happy that he got his first win and will be back on the tour next year. I have been a huge fan of his since he was a young kid. I have had him on my fantasy team every single time. Congratulations Jack!!!

What a great variety of critical manoeuvres, he’s gonna clean up if he keeps surfing this way, especially in the big gnarley stuff which he’s also very capable in...

He was a top contender to win Sunset. This year would have been much different had it gone ahead as planned.

"in the big gnarley stuff which he’s also very capable in......", are you kidding? the guy is an absolute charger, he won't say no to anything, he charges Jaws or anything he comes across. Watch him Gnaraloo reef, I think the youtube vid is called "24 hour barrel bender" or something like it, he takes off like a tennis court deeper than anyone else...out of this world! At solid size also, that reef is lethal!

Jack’s future is hella bright. He’s a pretty all-round surfer - powerful rail game, can stomp huge airs with ease, and has exceptional barrel riding skills. Just watch some of his WA free surfs.
As for the scoring of these waves, I’ll admit that the judges prolly had a few too many beers before work - that 9.48 was definitely overscored. But Jack deserved the win regardless. Kudos to him, and can’t wait to see what he does next.

They totally underscored his ally oop air. Judging was weird throughout the contest in general.

I’ve been waiting for jack to surf like this since he got on tour everyone says he is just a barrel rider but no chance jack rips big pipe to chops to the box and perfect 4ft glass point breaks his time will definitely come when the judges sort the scores out some of the scoring was insulting to say the least do they realise how hard it is to take off straight into a barrel and smash the shit out of the lip all the way along the wave and give it a 6.8 fuck off gabby gets 8s for doing fuck all not that gabby isn’t great at what he does but his scoring is massively inflated

When you watch tha hi lights of the finals day, Robo's 8,33 in the finals and his 8,63 in the semis, gets so clear it was stolen, wsl this shit spoilt Dorians, Machados and Tajs deserved world title, maybe Bob'Martinez as well

They gave to him. A short dirt tube plus a poor aerial followed by a total lack of critical sections and flow! Just 1,X from a perfect score? 🥴🥴🥴🥴
