Honestly, I hope they investigate Ticketmaster. The fact that resellers get their hands on the tickets so quickly and resell them for way more than the original price is ridiculous. I attended a Stray Kids concert in July and K-pop concerts are supposed to go from $49-$300. Floor seats were supposed to be $300, and resellers sold them for more than that. Mine ended up being $900. The same thing happened at a smaller venue for tomorrow x together. Scalpers sold them for thousands of dollars. I feel bad for Taylor Swift fans. Resellers can rot.

honestly yeah. I've heard just about every kpop fandom I can think of (rightfully) complaining about scalpers. it's always a bloodbath. I remember seeing tiktoks showing for some groups where almost an entire section was taken by resellers, and some groups with prices as high as $4k for a single seat. (that shit still haunts me lmfao. I'm just hoping no one actually bought those & the sellers ending up having to price them super low right before the concert, or something.)
it's a bloodbath even with groups that do pre-sale memberships, like BTS and iirc TXT had a pre-sale as well. I was extremely lucky to have gotten non-resale tickets for TXT in july, cause I looked back later & everything left was like $400-1.2k. the fact that you had to pay $900 because of them is criminal fr.

I like how Ticketmaster tries to frame it as if it's the artists' choice to use them when they literally have contracts with every major venue that says "use us for ticketing or find a small venue that doesn't" and forces large shows to use them. K-pop fans have been screaming about Ticketmaster's unfair and incompetent practices for years so hopefully Swifties joining the fray will bring about some change.

Here in Mexico, the authorities are already investigating Ticketmaster. It all started with a music festival called Corona Capital. All the tickets were sold out, but people reported that their online tickets were getting canceled by Ticketmaster without a refund or explanation. Also, some self-proclaimed influencers were reselling several overprized tickets. One woman was selling 100 tickets, even when there was supposedly a maximum purchase allowed for each customer. The woman said she was making a colab with Ticketmaster, that she was approached by them to resell the tickets. Ticketmaster denied it and now they're suing her.
And even when you went to buy tickets from a physical authorized store, there were people reporting that they weren't allowed inside the concert because their tickets were duplicated, so the sit was already taken (this happened in Dua Lipa's concert). They're all suing Ticketmaster.

Last year my mom was getting us tickets for BTS in LA and I had THE earliest access because they let people who had tickets from the 2020 canceled tour go first. My mom told me she was in the process of checking out three times and it kicked her out and had to start over until eventually she was able to get something. I saw on twitter others were not so lucky and a lot of people got kicked out and were not able to get back in. Even when i got tickets for their 2020 tour (which I did myself) it was a horrible experience and took me like two hours. It sucks how much of a chokehold ticketmaster has on concert ticketing because they are truly awful

The worst part was seeing tickets that i had in my cart before i got kicked out were bought by resellers and the price was wayyyy more then they ever should have been. I had also bought tickets for the 2020 concert but luckily mine only came out to 275 each because I was able to get in within 15 minutes. I got floor seats about 2 rows from the main stage but since it was canceled I had to try again for tickets to ptd on stage la 2021 and still ended up with floor tickets but 10 rows farther🥹. But ptd Las Vegas was SOMETHING ELSE. I tried so hard to get something good but all floor tickets were expensive as heck because of resellers so I ended up at the tippy top which wasn’t good for my fear of heights but I pushed through and the concert was great just wish there was a limit on how much someone can resell a ticket for cause it’s ridiculous seeing soundcheck resells go for 10k.

For example, when I was 15 my favorite band was CKY. We found out they were going to be at a skate shop signing autographs before heading to their show. We got there 5 minutes after they left. I silently cried in the car all the way home (still have the hat I wanted them to sign too). Again though, I was 15, didn't have a grip on my emotions & the most I was worrying about was whether or not I'd pass a math test. Same could be said with a lot of these fans. With some of the older fans, yea, it's weird. Honestly if I spent like 5 hours in a queue only to be booted off & sent back to the beginning I'd be more pissed then emotional.

It's a nice system, cuz sure you can still make a profit, but it's not in the thousands of euros. Also, a lot of, if not most of, the ticket sellers in the Netherlands have a limit of 5 or 10 tickets per person to buy. This helps to make sure that reselling tickets isn't a way to make a living, just some extra cash. I had a horrible experience on Tuesday (6 hours with no tickets to show for it) but on Wednesday I got floor seats for $299 each! I am grateful it worked out but I'm so sad that it didnt for so many people

I’m so thankful for the fact that reselling tickets for a higher price is illegal in my country. But oh god, trust me, I hate Ticketmaster so much… I have had so many problems with them

I’ve been saying that ticketmaster is the worst ESPECIALLY since the new “Platinum pricing” bs. That way when tickets first go on sale all of the big fans that have been waiting until on sale time end up paying hundreds of dollars for GA due to the demand when they should be under $100… then of course they get resold for even more. I tried to get imagine dragons tickets and when they went on sale there were no tickets under $500 which to me is insane. I will NOT pay that much for a single show. This is why now I’m trying to only attend independent venues in my area, but there’s only 2 left now because the other one got bought out by Livenation… and the ticket prices have at least tripled

Ticketmaster need to find the codes for the tickets that are being resold for ridiculous amounts and just cancel those tickets and sell them again for sale price! The person/bot will lose their money and the tickets go back into circulation for real fans to buy!!!

here in australia the ticket can only be resold at 10% higher [the max limit] than the original price. which seems far. something similar should happen in the USA.

I was trying to sell my extra tickets to the trinity of terror tour for Baltimore and I just had to deal with the loss. Ticketmaster wouldn’t let me even transfer my tickets so I could give them away

I couldn’t even log in. I can’t imagine trying to get tickets. Customer service was non existent. Everyday I pray more of my favorite bands don’t go viral like PTV did bc that was a nightmare too

Tbh it'll end up been cheaper coming to Latin América and see Taylor here than paying 10k for a resold ticket

It has been a huge issue in the kpop community for awhile now. I hope that something is going to happen cause I'm not about to pay +300€ to see NCT.
