    Thank you for such a complete overview of this killing machine! Only thing I didn't agree was the part you say intuitive" and "easy to use". Even being a experienced photographer, it takes quite a while to get familiarized with so many menus and submenus. They should learn something with Canon or even DJI, about diagramation and visual signals.. Other than that, I am quite happy with it and exploring more the device day after day.

      Hi sure thing. We will be uploading a few videos on the Sony ZV-1. And those will be recorded solely with the X-T200. Those will be longer format kind of videos, so you can really gauge the camera’s focusing performance, microphone noise, and see the overall quality.

    Thank you for sharing this info in depth! Much appreciated. Do you have a moment to answer a couple questions? Are there any other Fuji cameras that has a selfie LCD screen? I’m not finding this info anywhere! I like selfie mode to be included in my family photos. Also, Is this camera able to use interchangeable lenses? I want to try more lenses from Fuji, as well as vintage lenses from other brands. I sincerely appreciate your guidance and any advice! Thank you so much.

      Hi, yes there is another Fuji which would be the slightly pricier XS-10. But, for what it’s worth, I think the X-T200 is the better travel and pocketable camera. The XS-10 is a bit bulky and handles more like a DSLR. But, that camera does have in-body image stabilization, which works really well. But, yes the X-T200 is an interchangeable lens camera, and you can attach any of Fuji’s X-Mount lenses (or third-party lenses like Canon, Nikon, Sony, etc using adapters).

    My only preference is photography. Should I go for xt200 for those extra AF points or get the xt100 and save some money
    ( $240 difference) for a lens..? Also, the battery seems great on xt100.

    • @PhotographyPX
      @PhotographyPX  4 года назад +3

      Honestly, the changes between the 200 and 100 are quite substantial. I would highly recommend getting the X-T200 over the 100, despite the price difference here. The X-T200 delivers huge improvements in these key area: autofocus, video capabilities, better touch implementation, a fully articulating screen, added electronic stabilization modes, more film simulations, and improved ergonomics. And together, it an excellent upgrade.
      But, if you want to weigh it more directly. Take a look at a our written review below. And look at all of the key areas we mention that it differs from the X-T100. If most of these areas aren't super important to you, then at that point, get the X-T100 and a lens instead.

      @PhotographyPX  2 года назад

      Hi, the X-T200 is an excellent camera for weddings and journalism. It offers a lot of similar features to the Fujifilm X-T3 and X-T4, both of which are high recommends for this type of photography. But, it doesn't have any close to their price, making it a better option to get started.

      You can't go wrong with either of these cameras. I'd say this decision comes down to which camera body you find more attractive, whether you want a fully articulating screen, a microphone (and headphone port via adapter). The M10 also offers dedicated stabilization, which is excellent for shooting handheld be it video or stills in low light. But it does have a smaller 16MP sensor than the X-T200. However, you may not readily notice the difference in image quality between the two cameras. Overall, i'd say the X-T200 is slightly more well rounded. But the M10 is certainly a good option as well.

      @PhotographyPX  3 года назад +2

      Hi Logan, this is a comment that we received on our 3-month follow-up with the X-T200 that explains how to map it and to map it for stills, you can do so in the Setup- Button/Dial/ Function Setting the look for the look for the My Dial.
      "You can manually adjust aperture, shutter speed and ISO in Video mode. Spend a little more time with the camera, dig deeper in the settings. It's not easy but there is a way. You can totally shoot 4K video with full manual controls on the X-T200. The video ISO is separate from the photo ISO. You can put the setting on the screen on a "custom button" in the Q menu. See Setup -> Button/Dial Setting -> Function(Fn) Setting -> choose a Button - and assign the "Movie ISO" on it. "

    Hi thank you for your reviews I decided to buy however I'm not getting a clean HDMI output eventhough the info display is off, and half of the menu options are grey and untouchable. It seems like I have an overriding auto mode happening even though it's on manual. Have also tried all other modes so any help is very appreciated, thank you!!

    • @PhotographyPX
      @PhotographyPX  3 года назад

      This is strange since the X-T200 does have a clean HDMI output which you can configure as you described above. I would suggest going into the "4K MOVIE OUTPUT" and setting it the SD Card, if it isn't already set that way. Otherwise, I'm a bit stuck on this problem. It should work.

    Please can you tell me that can we shoot flat video in XT 200 for better flexibility in post ?

    • @PhotographyPX
      @PhotographyPX  3 года назад +1

      Well, the X-T200 doesn't offer a dedicated flat picture profile, like the X-S10 which has Fuji's F-log format. So your best bet honestly is recording in the Classic Chrome film simulation. Compared to the standard profile, it reduces the saturation, drops the highlights and opens the shadows. This is as close as you can get to a true flat profile. But, otherwise, I would suggest looking at the exposure to make sure you avoid clipping the highlights. Recovering clipped highlights on this camera is virtually impossible. So just be sure to properly expose the footage, and the results will be great.

    I'm planning to buy one what do you think about this camera and Canon M50 for videos ???

    • @PhotographyPX
      @PhotographyPX  4 года назад +2

      Well i would say it depends on whether you plan on filming in 4K or not. Both camera's are great in 1080p. But the M200 takes a huge leap in general video capabilities, offer 4K 30 FPS uncropped video AND 1080p 120p via the Hi-Speed mode. And while the M50 has 4K, that extra 1.6x crop makes it quite difficult to use in the real-world and the AF performance takes a big hit as well.
      So, in general, the M200 is better for 4K and super-slow motion video. But the M50 is better for 1080p video, since it's AF performance is simply unmatched. Canon's focusing technology is the golden standard at this price point.

      @@PhotographyPX I am confused between Cannon 200D Mark ll and Fujifilm XT200, I am looking for creating videos.
      Being Mirrorless the battery backup and overpriced lenses for Fujifilm is confusing me to choose one out of these 2.
      Please suggest one?

    • @PhotographyPX
      @PhotographyPX  3 года назад

      Hi Deepak, I would get the Canon 200D Mark II here. And for the reason you mentioned, the lens price difference between the two ecosystems will add up. Not to mention the 200D has vastly superior autofocusing, a better interface, and better battery life. The X-T200 is a solid video camera, but it's not nearly as easy to use as the 200D. And the battery life is only roughly about an hour of filming before it's done. It's about average against other mirrorless cameras in that area.

    IN 4k it has 15 min. limit ...what does it mean we can record only 15 min. in a day or we can continue again recording after 15 minutes ?

    • @PhotographyPX
      @PhotographyPX  3 года назад +1

      Hi, by 15 minutes it means you can only record 15 minutes in a single clip. Once 15 minutes has expired, then the camera automatically stops the recording. And you can restart another fresh clip by hitting the record button again. This limit is here to prevent it from overheating, which would probably happen around 20-25 minutes of continued 4K recording, depending on the environment.

    • @PhotographyPX
      @PhotographyPX  3 года назад

      Hi Tran, this decision comes down to whether you want the fully articulating touchscreen and the updated video recording options on the X-T200. If you don't want those features, I would say go for the X-T20. It's the better photography camera. But, the X-T200 is the better hybrid, even against the X-T30.

    • @viettran96
      @viettran96 3 года назад +1

      @@PhotographyPX I prefer the build quality on xt20 much more than the 200, but does it worth the sacrifice on focus ability

    • @PhotographyPX
      @PhotographyPX  3 года назад

      That depends on what you're shooting. If you plan on shooting fast moving action, sports, or wildlife then the X-T200 would be the better focusing camera. It has superior tracking performance to the X-T20 and there's no comparison between these two cameras in that area. It's so so much better. But, if you can live with a slower and less responsive AF system, the X-T20 is solid.

    Indeed a great video about the XT200. Quick question, I tried to set the Fn 1 button to AF L or AE/AF L to do the back button focusing but when I had it set and tried to do the back button focusing, it just couldn't work. Any help? Tips? Thanks!

    • @PhotographyPX
      @PhotographyPX  4 года назад +1

      Hi honestly, i just spent about 20 minutes fiddling with the settings. And i can’t figure out how to disable AF W/Shutter. I’m pretty sure this is the reason why setting a Fn button (be it Fn1 or Fn2) to AF-L, AF-AE-L, or AE-L all don’t work. These features all see to be completely locked to the half depressing of the shutter. I’ll take a look at the manual later this afternoon to see how Fuji sets it up. But, that’s the setting causing issues with back button focusing.

    • @PhotographyPX
      @PhotographyPX  4 года назад +1

      Okay. Reviewed the manual. It looks like AF-L only works in the SP mode on the default camera setup. And it’s mapped to Fn2. I’m not seeing any other way to engage it beside this mode though. Might be an overlook on Fuji’s part. Because it does work in the mode. But, not the PASM modes.

    People keep saying x-trans is better and “high end”. What exactly is better about them?

    • @PhotographyPX
      @PhotographyPX  3 года назад

      Hi Eirik, based on my knowledge about these camera's i'd say this: The bayer array is an older construction technology and design for CMOS sensors. When Fuji initially pioneered the X-Trans design, they changed the way the sensor captures light. And, in essence, this change helps their camera capture more fine details and gradations. Having had both a Bayer Fuji camera and an X-Trans one, I can definitely see there's more detail coming from their latest Gen 4 sensor than than this latest Bayer iteration seen in the X-T200 and X-A7. I'm not 100% sure behind the engineering technicalities of what they've changed from a design standpoint. But, it does positively improve image quality. Especially in low light.

    • @PhotographyPX
      @PhotographyPX  3 года назад

      Hi, I would disagree here. We've also tested these cameras. And comparing the image quality from the X-T200 and X-S10 (which also has a similar configuration to the X-T3) there's a noticeably difference in fine details between these sensor. I will be publishing a video detailing this within the next few weeks. DP review is a good standard of measure, but they're not the only knowledgable sources in the industry. The X-T200 takes notable downgrades in quality of Fuji's higher-end cameras, which makes sense since these are entry-level models.
