I actually like this alternate theme song with the "authentic" tinka, tinka, tee nose twitch sound! I don't like how it abruptly ends, though. Too bad the season 3-5 versions use the first theme song now and some of the scenes are cut out to save episode length. Also, I wish the season 2 opening theme was used for season 2 episodes!
This needs to come back to TVland with I Dream of Jeannie, Munsters, Addams Family, That Girl and Get Smart. I don't know if this show was ever on there but they should have Twilight Zone, too!
That series has run in Germany, too. They used this 3rd sesason intro throughout the run, even the seasons with Dick Sargeant as Darrin. They just changed the name and never used the newer intro with an animated Dick Sargeant.
I love the TV series! I used to watch re-runs onTVLand of Bewitched, The Munsters, The Brady Bunch, and I love Lucy when I was a little with my auntie! Brings back some good memories : ) I'm only 19 by the way, and I loved these shows I still do and watch them when I can.

It's nice to have Classic tastes. Cherish them. But don't isolate yourself from the times even if you despise them. Both the Old, Present and Future have different stories to tell.
lol my father kept the VHS from this series and even not being from my era, I loved(and still love) to watch it. So sweet and magic! Absolutely superb. I always liked more Dick York than Sargent. Aw... lol and dad always said mom's mother was just like Endora! XD
Myth Busters needs to do an episode to see whether or not it is possible to ride on a broomstick. I've tried and as far as I can determine it cannot be done.
The show was often hilarious, the guest stars on the show were also great, Paul Lynde, Eudeora as the mother in law, they were really gifted in the art of making people laugh.
Everybody knew that sound meant that BEWITCHED was coming on. It's one of the most themes in television history. Love it. There are words to it. I'd say Steve Lawrence's version might be most well known. It's here on YT as well as the version from the Hollywood Palace sung by Elizabeth Montgomery and Vic. Damone.
Actually some of the best episodes were from the last two seasons: the Salem episodes, "Samantha's Old Man," the ones with the tooth fairy, "The Return of Darrin the Bold," the European episodes.
I allways remember one episode when Endora was trying to figure out why she was so nice to Darren...and confronted Sam on putting a spell on her...Sam's Responce of "Who me?" was funny. Endora had no problems putting spells on Sam to teach her a leason..but had issues with it. if it was done to her..lol.
The nose twitch is famous. Liz and her husband William Asher were trying to think of clever ways for her magic to work. She inenvertenly "twitched" her nose, and Asher asked "What did you just do?" Liz replied "What are you talking about?" Asher said "That's it. That's how we're going to make the magic happen."
dick york left the show cause he got a back injury in another movie or show he was doing, and his back pain began to get worse. then later on in the shows, he was mostly featured as sitting down or laying in the bed throughout the whole episode. after collapsing on the set cause of the pain, he resigned from the show in the hospital, he wanted time to recover from it. thats so sad.
My sister really liked Samantha. Andorra did frighten us. It was a great serial and we where very sad to hear about Dick York's and 'samantha's (don't know the name this moment) dead. I was a very small girl when we watched it in the tv. I was afraid of the person who flew through the star sparkled heaven and believe it or not, now in my mid-forties I still dream sometimes at night about women flying under that starry sky. :)
The cartoon Darrin looks just like Dick York. LOL. I loved watching this show on N&N and TVLand. I prefer the black and white episodes, but there were some fun colorized ones too.

Loved when Uncle Arthur was on, also Aunt Clara. Dick York was irreplaceable as Darrin. Also loved "I Dream of Jeannie," NBC's answer to this show, but it wasn't as good in my opinion.

@32fordcoupegirl I know! it doesn't come on at 4 in the evening. They just flip flop with the show at schedules. That is usually a sign that the show will be taken of the network soon. I hope not.
Dick Sargent did a lot of charity work for Christian Children's Fund, so don't be so damned critical of him as a person. Also, he was the original choice for the part as "Darrin," but had another contract obligation, which is why York got the part instead. Jack Keller and Howard Greenfield wrote the theme music in this clip.

@LadyRedeemer Yeah the first Dum-Dum was so much cooler, even though he was funnier looking, but that only made him more comedic to the audience.
