That's because we don't have excellent sports infrastructure also our sports budget is very less If you compare it to Australia in per capita basis. Also India will improve as our economy and lifestyle improves. It's just a matter of time

India has not played well at all this time. Our contingent has let us down. We were 3 and 4th place in 2014 and 2018 with 20+ and 15 gold medals then. India needs to focus more in sports than education economy bollywood and cricket now.

Until India gives serious attention to Swimming events we can never be in top of medals tally
