I did ignore at first and was followed. Was no stores - and 2-4 people coming up on my back - was not going to turn away from them. ☺️ I guess they tricked the wrong person. Taught them a lesson perhaps.
Thank you!! Just glad I got my phone back. There was a second in the scruffle where I was like… I need to get that back because holy shit that’s expensive if I don’t 😅 then went after it aggressively until I got it back haha. Thank you!
@@josievlogsthings The expense and inconvenience of a phone replacement is one thing, but you never know what they could've done with your personal data had they managed to access it. People often forget about the whole privacy impact. You definitely did the right thing following your instincts in that moment and using your skills appropriately 🙌
Glad you were OK Josie. What you did was self defense. We enjoy traveling with you in your videos. Keep it up and stay safe always❤️. If you ever visit California, we’ll take you out for a nice meal you guys deserve it😍
Hello to both of you. Sorry to hear your sad news . I'm glad you made it out of the fight ok and you got your phone back. You should not feel bad about it. They started it.
Omg I'm glad you're okay!! My best travel story is from a town called Lorgues in southern France. We were driving on the side of a mountain on a very narrow road. An oncoming car tried to pass us in a spot that really didn't have enough room, so we rolled down our window to try to tell him to wait for us to back into a wider area. The other driver didn't listen and decided instead to drive straight into us, sideswiping our rental down the entire driver's side. Turns out, he was the village priest who was late to church on a Sunday, and the police told us he didn't even have a driver's licence! So he stole a car and hit us on the way up the mountain, all in hopes of making it to church on time (we saw him again at a market a couple days later).
I had my phone stolen just a week ago in London! I tried to be careful but these thiefs are sometimes so sneaky! But I totally understand how you feel after the mugging and so good that you didn't lost your phone!
When i was working in a leather shop just before we closed a group of girls came in and split up among the store. I immediately knew they were there to steal. My coworkers were elderly. I approached I girl and asked if she needed help. She acted very antagonistic. I asked her to leave. Then all of them gathered around me screaming. I immediately asked coworkers to call police. Then they started pushing me. My adrenalin rose then I kicked the crap out of them. They pulled my hair. I stood my ground. One shouted I am pregnant. I stopped punching. Police came arrested all of them. Apparently they are a gang and frequent stores to steal. I am a native new Yorker and don't take crap from no one.
This is what I’m freaking out about for our trip. We’re doing eurail so will be spending a lot of time in train stations and I’m so nervous about this happening especially with probably being distracted watching out for my daughter etc. So proud of you standing your ground, I bet that surprised them.
Sorry for the ordeal you went thru🥹 that’s awful but thank goodness you weren’t hurt, that’s what’s so important👍 Take good care and have a blessed week🙏♥️💫✨👼🏻✨💫♥️🙏
Glad your okay, I had a horrible experience in Peru Arequipa, they were locals running a ring picking up tourists in Taxis and working with other dodgy taxis. 😢
Uff, so sorry for you. I am afraid, he’s right, there is a lot of crime going around train stations in Europe. I will tell my daughters about this. Thanks for sharing stuff 😉
Oh my goodness! Glad you're ok and so glad you're able to stand up for yourself, I bet they weren't expecting that! Back in the 90's (so long ago🤣) I was on a public payphone and my husband was on a hotel balcony with our 3month old baby. It was Gran Canaria and the balcony overlooked the road I was on. 2 older teenagers approached me one talking the other taking my wallet, I turned around and noticed it was gone straight away, shouted at them to give it back and a few other choice words...they actually did, even though they probably could have run off and I wouldn't have stood a chance of catching them! Afterwards I reflected and thought how silly I was not knowing if they could have been violent...and I'm definitely not trained as you are. The best part was, I was frantically calling for my husband to come down and he thought I was waving at them 🤣 Cannot wait for the almost abducted in New York storytime 😳😮
Hahahaaha I remember when I was in America 10 years ago with my friend - and we were in his car and I told him to put something in the boot - and he just looked at me so weird and I was like it’s not that hard? Just put it in the boot? And he was like …. My shoe?! Loooool no the back of the car where you store things 😭😭😭😭😂😂
Good for you! When I was on the trains in France they had train ambassadors warning us about muggers and pickpockets. Usually groups of girls with large bags.
are you guys paying in Euros or aud? if aud then ofcourse its more expensive. sorry if ive get the wrong end of the stick lol it just confuses me when you keep talking about the aud price
Ok this is a good point 😅😂 I think I’m USUALLY talking about AUD.. because that’s usually what’s taken out of my account, you know? So hotels etc usually are booked in AUD because that’s what we have the third party booking apps taking out - But sometimes I pay on my wise card for things depending on what it is when we are out and about and that takes my euros… lol but generally then I’ll be like wait that’s …. 50 bucks or something. 😂
I haven't been to a big city in Belgium for ages, normally I just go to Hasselt which isn't too far to drive. @Josie did you change the frame rate on your camera?
I wish we went to a couple of smaller places! I didn’t, well unless it was on accident 😂 this channel usually always is 60fps unless I mistakenly did it otherwise which wouldn’t surprise me 😅
Oh yeaaaah! Thats the internal ummmmm what’s it called.. something NTS or something - good call! I forgot to fix it for these lights! Thank you for reminding me!!! 👏🏻😊
Good on you for standing up for yourself! That must have been so stressful-we’re really glad you’re okay. Knowing how to defend yourself is so important, and it’s made me (Ashley) realize I have no clue how to do it. Guess it’s time to sign up for some self-defense classes. 😅
Hey guys you could go to Thailand and head to fitness street for training when eva you are ready....p.s Starbucks is the bomb, one just opened in Perth last week only 3hr wait to get something....lol

I'm glad you are okay 🫂
I know exactly what kind of gangs you are talking about. My experience is that they are the worst in Barcelona.
I think you were tricked to engage with them. Would have been better to walk fast to avoid or go into nearest restaurant/store right away.
I did ignore at first and was followed. Was no stores - and 2-4 people coming up on my back - was not going to turn away from them. ☺️ I guess they tricked the wrong person. Taught them a lesson perhaps.

This gave me flashbacks a few months back when I was almost robbed in Rome at the train station. I'm glad you stood your ground and that you're safe!
