Oh my goodness. This is literally the most humbling and amazing video I have ever seen in my life. Thank you so much for this.
Your story is so inspiring, I wish you the best against Oliveira!
I'm rooting for you in this fight Mr Chandler, your attitude is first rate. Good luck let's goooo
Best of luck in your title fight!
Thanks for sharing what you've learnt and how you've grown through life in public too. So glad to have content like this and yours that we can all learn from.
You’re the best man
These videos are often an essay on life more than just an mma video.
Agreed, it's outstanding work.
It’s fucking great man
@@lewishurley5591 it absolutely spoke to me mate, very powerful stuff.
@@KingDomsKingdom85 yeah man especially at the end with the priest, like molly said if I could snort those words up every day for breakfast it would give a proper kick up the ass
Definitely agree.
"People don't tend to be tortured by the full array of human flaws over the course of their lives instead they often spend their entire life being tortured by the same one or two flaws".
This is been dwelling on my mind for the past 2 weeks. Life changing truths in the first 4 minutes of a mma video. Mollywhoopery win by knockout.
I think about that sentence to this day, it's honestly changed my life
Im in shock how this started and how it ended with tears in my eyes. This is really good and useful for anyone... Ive been struggling and man, I think this will help me. Just fantastic. 😥😃👍
The first four minutes contains scary realities of life. Perfectly said.
You’re a true artist
Hey, thanks a lot a man. High praise coming from you.
@@MollyWhopMMA it is true
I didn't think as much about this comment until I got goosebumps at the end with the priest's words. Very beautiful.
Why u stopped uploading
@@myfavedits71 he isn’t a channel that drops videos every week bro
Why am a crying three minutes into a video about Michael Chandler
Because you’re ALIVE!
I don't blame you man I was about to do it!
Because You've been drinking too much water and your over hydrated, causing your tear ducts to remove the excess H2O from your body

yo why’d yall have to make this a sex thing ?? I’m just tryna comment on the inherent absurdity of clicking on a video about Michael Chandler and suddenly being forced to think about the crushing inevitibility of Death lmfao
4 Minutes in...that intro ... it's just MollyWhoppery being himself, a genius in storytelling.
Man that intro really spoke to me. I need to get my stuff together.

"they often spend their entire life being tortured by one or two flaws" holy shit that's deep.
“Went in there and MOLLY WHOPPED his ass”
Me: Ahhhh he said it !! He said the thing !!!
Babe come here mixed molly said the thing!!
@@niallheaton2724 Grab the kids !!! They need to be apart of this experience!!
"And it was all worryingly normal. . Things hadn't blown up in his face, they just sort of disintegrated around him" That hit me for some reason
That’s normal life. Most people aren’t defined by one or two moments but a life a time of conscious decision making.
I was talking to someone the other day and it came up in the discussion that recognizing some recurring problems in your life, and seeing your involvement in the outcome (what you did wrong) is farther than most people ever get in addressing their own personal issues. This video helped cement that point to me, we can continue to live in thematic circles or we can seek to understand our prison.
Explosions and violent outbursts are recognizable. They're easy to put the blame on someone or something. But nuanced reactions and intricate, innocuous human behaviours can be explained away for someones whole life while alienating others. That's my interpretation, anyways.
@@levi_sladen well said sir
Me as well the man's way with words are very simple but true
Take it from somebody who’s had it blown up spectacularly in his face; again and again, it’s no less crippling...
You know it's gonna be a good day when mixedmolly posts
having an alright day, then this gem dropped
i had a terrible day, but this upload sure made it better.
Great videos, horrible voice
You know you’re about to listen some Brooklyn incel ramble for 5 minutes for an intro

Came here for the Michael chandler story. Left with a deep impact from the old man’s story.
Time to recalibrate
Thanks man , you really put things into perspective for me
A master class in self reflection. The story of the old man, the testimonies by chandler and jokko, it all held that mirror right up close. This is going to stick with me for awhile. Im almost 49, and im emotionally bankrupt, and struggle with getting through each day. My life is empty. It feels empty. So much to unpack. But i got just enough of a kick in the ass from this video to re-assess where i am.
Edit: i commented before i had a chance to here the words of the priest. Holy shit. Im going to write the last statement down, so i can look at it every time i need a reminder. That was one sledgehammer of a closer there mmw. I dont know if you realize the impact of the piece you just did here or not. But we all do.
There's still life in you. What if you get to live to 90+ yrs old. That's 40+ yrs left on this earth. Instead of lamenting about wasted opportunities in the past, focus on not wasting what's in front of you now. Or you might look back at this moment 40 years from now and regret that you didn't work towards a more fulfilling life when you were 49 years young.
Chandler is a very well spoken guy. His philosophical attitude reminds me of GSP.
If he loses against Oliviera with his head held up high, that's a sign to me that he's Mature. If he blames his loss on the fact that he "didn't see it". i would not see that as maturity. In other words, if that's his main goal is to "Win". Ok, except you're gonna have to realize that life doesn't revolve around that.
@@JOSEPH-vs2gc win or loss I wouldn’t expect anything but class from chandler. He will go down as a great, he’s awesome
He pushed away benson Henderson
I see where you're coming from but I don't see any of the same levels of humility. I'm happy with GSP Lite?
@@paulparadoxia bahaha gsp lite?!
I hope somebody sends this to Mr. Chandler. I think he would appreciate the graciousness, humbleness and kindness of MollyWhops words.
Chandler should know he has made an impact..and continues to do so.
He saw it!
He posted on his twitter about it.
I'm here from his post only
I remember years ago when MMW wasn't as well known and Basingstoke Rutten was saying on Joe Rogan that he had seen this great video on RUclips and Joe should check it out but he Bas couldn't remember the name at the time he just said he has this great like New York accent but I'm sure a lot more people know about MMW now and if they don't they should get on board 😉 now all the videos put out by you are fantastic and I only just came across it on RUclips about 5 years ago and I have enjoyed every video 📹 I have seen and pretty sure I have seen them all now .I remember you said when the COVID 19 happened you were in Colombia 🇨🇴 and hadn't backed up your stuff and lost about 2 years worth of research and videos 1 was about WILDER but keep making them cus I for 1 can't get enough 👍👊💯🇮🇪❤

You have a deep root in psychology. Discovering you was a gift from the universe. You are significant, Good Sir. Gratitude. I feel blessed.
This channel is criminally underrated!!!!
isn't it just!
Yes but us viewers really, really appreciate the talent of Molly Whop.
Sometimes when you get real content popularity doesn’t follow as fast/or at all it’s better that he has people that support and watch his videos = quality over quantity , vs fighting all the “trending” algorithms. that’s a good thing and a bad thing,

Chandler quickly became one of my favourite fighters. Not just because of his performance, but because of how humble and honest he is with himself. He always states his goals and has a plan. When that plan doesn't work, he admits his faults that could have led to it. This is such an amazing video, and truthfully has been added to my mental health playlist. Thank you, and Michael Chandler for making such a good message for both groups of fans!
I’d like to start this off by saying that I found your channel during very hard times in my life. I was going through intense depression and addictive behavior that was taking complete control over my life. Your channel has been what really has saved me. For people who are depressed, the hardest thing is to spark the flame of life and get up and “grab the bull by its horns”. Your Tyson Fury video let me grab the bull by it’s fucking horns. I find myself watching this video when I have experienced a recent setback caused by my own flaws. I was going through victim blaming myself subconsciously and not taking “extreme ownership” of my life. Your video has once again helped my life for the better and for that I am extremely grateful.
Please continue your great work! And please remember when times are tough in your own life the power your video has had on someone like me and countless of others. All I can say is thank you.
Thanks a lot. That Tyson Fury video was great for me to make at that time. I had experienced similar sentiments to what you described. There was a lot of solidarity in watching his performance.
Tyson fury is a great inspiration
@@MollyWhopMMA Very similar circumstances to the above comment, Thankyou MixedMolly! Really hope you’re doing well in your own life but with the wisdom you put into every video it’s hard to imagine you’re not at the least content. Thanks again!
People like you need to stop moaning about life as there are people a lot worse off so stop your bloody moaning and get on with it
@@rob1615 i didn't read any moaning... i read quite the opposite in fact. That person stated their flaws and is addressing them, how about you? Are you addressing yours?
I was lucky enough to hear Chandler's 688 Days presentation in person and I wouldn't have ever guessed anyone could improve upon it. But the intro and editing of this video are next level.
Oh that's cool!
I didn't know Chandler before he fought his first fight in the UFC. I'm now a huge fan of his.
I'm only Two minutes in and holy shit that hit hard. My Grandfather destroyed every relationship he had from drinking including almost destroying our own. I forgave him and still go and visit him whenever I can
He only drank or was an ahole too? Sorry if triggered.
Big respect for Chandler for not letting the hate come to his head, showed great mental strength and made one of the best debuts in UFC history...

This one had me choked up as it resonated with me in a powerful way. Please, please don't stop making these videos, you have a true gift.

An island of reality in an ocean of diarrhea... so thankful for the Molly videos. There’s a brand of MMA fans that really appreciate the thoughtful approach, opinions and insight this channel brings.

This guy is an artist..your videos are just on another level. As someone who loves films (and mma), but is extremely critical, it’s hard to find a piece of work that ticks all the boxes. Especially something this short. This is just amazing. Even Michael chandler felt the need to comment on how moving this was and show apprecoation. How could you not? Bravo man 👏
This is the most profound video I've ever watched on RUclips. The learnings from this will be life changing. I needed to hear all of it. Thank you MMW and Michael Chandler.
This is a masterpiece of a video essay. The way your message came full circle from the intro to the outro is something else. That quote at the end has been saved for me personally and is undoubtedly the most haunting thing I’ve ever heard. Thank you for making these outstanding videos.
MollyWhoppery making these quality videos is him practicing what he preaches. He's doing something meaningful in an attempt to live his best life.
That ending gave me chills. Thank you so much for making this, MMW. What a powerful piece you've created.
There’s something about Michael Chandler. Someone below me says Chandler’s philosophy is like GSP, but I think his philosophy is even “higher”. GSP’s philosophy is from the viewpoint of someone recognized as the greatest martial artist. Chandler’s philosophy comes from someone who isn’t recognized. He’s a three time world champion yet still not recognized. Not many people can have the conditions GSP has, being recognized, expected to be great and can be great. More or less, we are like Chandler, we want to be great, we can be great, yet not many people do so.

Bro please never stop making videos, this is by far the greatest fighters channel on here. This guy should be paid for this shit, he's a professional.
He is. It's called RUclips monetization. You think he does this for free? 🤔
man, buddy. let me tell you something, I´ve been watching your videos for the last few years. It was a wild time for me, a lot of success, dreams coming true. The last few months tho, they were hard. I had a lot of what I wanted for so long, goals I´ve been working towards for over ten years. But then I realised that with having all that, I wasn´t happy. that made me fall into a deep hole, with a lot of questions on being able to trust myself with what I want and if my intrinsic motivation is to be believed or if I´m only manipulating myself to do something I think is right without knowing what I truly want. This video is the perfect story to that situation and it really lit a fire again. Thank you very much, my friend. I don´t know if you realise it, but you do make an impact on others lifes. So much depth to your videos, some truly inspirational stuff!
Something MMW does so well is find bits of an interview that I sometimes gloss over, but these bits emphasize an important piece to a fighter's arc. Brilliant work
That intro alone motivated me and gave me a life lesson. I think we all are thankful to this beautiful piece
Love this channel. Was literally watching a different video and when the Mixedmollywhoppery appeared I tapped on the link.

Welcome back, MMW. Another phenomenal video, per usual. Incredible. If greatness is truly defined by impact, both you and Michael are well on your way and then some. I love chandler as much as the next guy but I don’t understand how people seem to forget Anderson Silva’s debut. That’s hands down the greatest debut, directly followed by a title shot and historic run.
This is the third time I've watched this already, truly powerful stuff throughout and is some of the most inspiring and motivational content I've ever experienced in any medium.
