Cool single, Charles, co-written by lead singer Glenn Dorsey and producer Nick Censi. Dorsey and the Twiliters have an interesting story. In 1963, they cut a single for Roulette to cash in on the British Invasion excitement, "My Beatle Haircut" which apparently fared well locally and got them many engagements in the Pittsburgh area. Glenn Dorsey later became a founding member of the soul group The Joneses who had many hits in the Seventies. doo-wop.blogg.org/twiliters-2-c26505506

Melodically, this sounds like a combination of "Rubber Ball" and "Dream Lover"

Is this the same group that did, Hey There? Which is one my favorite.

I believe Delores of this group recorded with Ike Turner for Bobbin label and became an Ikette,.
"Bandit" is the B side of this Nix record and grabbing a bit of "Dream Lover" staccatos , The "A¬ side "Back to School" is superior I think ...a lovely piece of enthusiastic nonsense -syllable infested doo-wop cheaply recorded, not over -produced, no sign of the white man`s string section ,1961 before it all went commercial
