Your gardening channel is quickly becoming my favorite!
Awwww thank you 😊
Found you from Exploring Alternatives video. You (and your garden) are inspirational, educational, and wonderful! I'm doing an Asia marathon - learning from last fall - what to do now. Taking notes, prepping beds (with straw not hay), buying seedlings for fall planting, and daydreaming about a seed collection of vegetables, flowers, and herbs like Asia's. Thank you...
Me too. Came up in my feed
Me too!
I like to leave a little extra length on the bag when I vacuum seal things like peppers, or anything that I'm freezing in bulk. That way, I can cut the bag open right below the seal, take out what I need, then re-vacuum seal it. Back in the freezer it goes, and you can keep using the same bag!
That’s a great idea
Great advice
Ahhhh that’s a great idea! Thank you for this comment!!
I’m so happy for you, your consistency with the videos, Vevor looking after you, your garden flourishing. All the best to you and your family ❤
Awwww thank you so much! I appreciate that so much 🤗
I just found you on Exploring Alternatives and quickly subscribed. Gardening mother of 1, and working on tightening up our setup. Yours is so nice.
I found you from Exploring Alternatives and I am now watching every video you have made. Thank you for your transparency and being so relatable and pleasant to watch. The knowledge and attention to detail that you show in your videos is amazing and very helpful.
Same here... Discovered her the same way, immediately subscribed to her channel, soooo inspiring I hope to learn a lot apply the knowledge as well!
Finding a black woman who gardens makes me feel so good. I started growing my first item a week ago - some lettuce I grew from the end of what I bought from the grocery store and I'm so excited to just watch it grow and from the last couple videos of yours I've watched, I know you're going to be such a help! Thank you so much for choosing to share with us
What I need to know is how in God’s name that you always get the thing I’m looking for in the exact moment. SMH. Great video❤
I LV WATCHING U WORK IN UR GARDEN, I FIND ENJOYMENT.
I thank you for your step by step guidance! You help so many new and not so new gardeners!
Freezing chopped peppers is awesome too. I freeze mine and vacuum seal them and when i need them to saute or add to soups and stews i just brake off what i need and seal the bag back a second time. I also have some ziplock vacuum seal bags that are reusable. Today i have made about 50 jalapeno poppers and froze them then through them in vacuum seal bags.
Yep just prune my fruit tree you should if want be dwarf like. I want all trees dwarf so I can manage them! Plus keep them healthy too.
Damn that lufa for trying ta take out my girl! Girl you scaring me have you had any water plz remember to hydrate!!!
We love vacuum sealing the things meat, veggies, etc Thanks for sharing Asia it always so pretty once done #blessings
I agree. With you dont trust the stores with all the pesticides , dont know what we are eating. / But home steading is awesome 👍
Hey Asia. Thanks for sharing everything. I hope the No.1 son feels better soon.❤🌺🌹🌷💗😊
I love vacuum sealing and freezing my scotch bonnet peppers. For those I use the bag that has a zipper that I can use the handheld vacuum sealer attachment on. That allows me to open it, grab a scotch bonnet, get a few slices off of it and put the pepper back in the bag and re-seal it. They’re so hot I rarely need more than a few thin slices or one I’ll throw whole into some curry chicken.
21:40 Oh wow, I literally just cut a row of plants at the root. Good to know, thank you!
THANKS FOR ALL THE LOVE IN YOUR VIDEOS ❤❤
Yes! To the September Sistas! Enjoy all month! Amazing video as always!
Acre Homestead bought a Vevor, & hers was very expensive. Good, you got yours from them! Way to go. Nurse Judi in Scottsdale and E Minister. Love ❤️ your channel!
I was left with 3 tomatoes between 2 plants. The hornworms I pulled and put in my front yard for the birds
Hello Asia, I found you through Exploring Alternatives last week and I've come back many times since. Your garden is sooo beautiful. ❤❤❤
Thank you, Aisa! You have a comforting effect on me. I needed it today ❤
Ah!! We are literally living a parallel life - September is my birthday month, I have the same stool and I'm urban gardening with a very similar setup. So glad I found you - you have flattened my learning curve!!
O cool! Happy birthday or belated birthday! O nice…I’m happy to hear the content has been helpful!
I would use a sharpee marker and put the shrink date on the bag so you know which to eat, the oldest, first.
Horn worms ate my jalapeños! Basil planted with your tomatoes will prevent them from eating it up!
I found your channel thanks to exploring alternatives. I like your videos .its so great ! Hi from France :)
That vacuum sealer did have a really good vacuum. If I didn’t have one I’d have to get that
I was in the same boat getting ready to put in my fall starts over the weekend...until I looked at our 97-98 degree forecast and went "nope!" Here's to hoping it cools down (and the mosquitoes start to chill out) soon!
having a ball on my tomato. Hahahahaha
I would like to try that vacuum sealer! Thanks for sharing!! Happy Gardening!!
Hello Asia! Awesome garden cleanup, harvest, and the new Vevor vacuum sealer!💖 Thanks for sharing!🌺
Blessings to you and family!💝 🦋9/2/2023🦋
I’m ready for some greens too🍅🌱
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANGEL GIRL!❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you!!
I’m so excited I found your channel via exploring alternatives !!! I love your videos 😊
Just saw you on Exploring Alternatives, you are amazing! So glad to find you and thanks for sharing!
I love your channel! 💐I don’t like to use gloves when I garden either.😊 Blessings 😊
Hi Asia tfs everything. I don't can, I freeze everything. I think you should use gloves when working in soil and compost. I saw where someone got sick from soil getting on their skin that may have had a tiny scratch on it.
Be careful. Still loving your videos and IG
Hi, We just came across your channel. We just subscribed. Enjoying your channel , this encourages us to do a better job with the few vegetables that we have grown.
Asia!!! You are AMAZING and so inspiring!!!
I was thinking about getting me one and you made it look so easy.
We’re in the same zone so I’m enjoying your guidance. Thank you.
Hi 7B neighbor or twin…depending on your state lol. I’m in Virginia.
Hey Miss Lady! NC zone 7B!

Вы очаровательны! Спасибо за видео!
Happy Birthday Month to you Asia! My birthday was August 25th I turned 58 this year so Grateful! Enjoy
Thank you!! Happy Belated Birthday!!
Good afternoon Asia another beautiful video I've really been missing your videos. Absolutely loving the vacuum sealer
I just turned 40 last weekend! Happy birthday month
O yay! Happy Belated Birthday 🎉
Just watched your video that was on Exploring Alternatives 🤗
That does look great! Thank you for sharing
Love your videos. This one is right on time as I'm about to freshen my two beds, love your method. I use Black Kow but lately have seen negative report regarding herbicide been sprayed on grass😮 which has my head spinning 🤔. So I'm trying to make my own compost which is never enough. What are we to do. Gardening is my passion and compost is needed especially in beds and containers I believe to nourish the plants. You are an encouragement to backyard gardeners. Keep them coming. Thank you, Love your style.
I feel your pain lol I am always worried now when I buy compost for my garden. It's too expensive for me to buy high quality compost, I rely on what I can get at Homedepot/Lowes. I am also making my own compost but it's not enough for all my beds and bags.
I haven’t had any issues so far 🤞🏾. I am going to try to take care of my compost pile now so in spring I can use my own compost again. Happy growing!
Very niceeee vacuum sealer 😊
Hi. I discovered you this past Saturday. I think you are my new BFF. 🍷
Hey friennn! 🍷
Love your channel.
i need that vacume sealer , wow
Awesome info and such an inspiration ❤
Tried our hand at saving our one yellow cucumber but the seeds weren’t viable 🎊🎊Happy Birthday Asia
Happiest birthday month, Asia!!!🎂🎉🎉🎉🎂
Yes those Hornworms and those vine borers are gross!
My son surprised me with one of those stools. I love it!
ENJOY💚🪴
Thank you!! They really are lol. I think the hornworms are so pretty though!
O yay! I’m glad you got one. They are awesome!!
Happy Birthday month!!!
Thanks for always keeping us up to date ❤😊
I love gardening and just came across your channel. Thanks for sharing some of your tips.
Looks really impressive 😊 I'm a little concerned about the single use plastic, but if I grew as much as you do, I might be tempted.
Been waiting for your video. 👍🏽Good you are going to have episodes. Love the vacuum sealer.
Absolutely love your vibe and garden setup. One of many new followers!
New subscriber here and I'm enjoying your videos. What I do when I have an overabundance of cucumbers, I juice them, add lime or lemon juice and make ice cubes for my water bottle.
Great 👍🏾 work as always fam and those worms 🐛 gotsta goooo 😂😂😂! Stay blessed!
-Calvin
Nice vacuum sealer. I hope they will keep well.
Happy Birthday, Asia! Mine is on the 23rd.♍♎
Thank you! Happy Early Birthday! I hope you enjoy!
I kicked off September yesterday on the first🎉🎉🎉! Happy birthday to you in advance!!! I enjoy watching you, learning and just being inspired. God Bless you!
I live in ohio zone 5 and I dont use straight black cow either. It seems too heavy by itself and definitely doesn't work for me when I direct sow seeds
Peace. Seen Your Episode On Exploring Alternatives. I Live In NYC And Was Doing Some Small Growing (Tomatoes, Potatoes And A Few Other Things. Love What You're Doing And Can't Wait To Get Me A Piece Of Dirt Somewhere To Start My Own Food Forest!
Happy BEarth Day, Fellow Virgo! Mines Is 9/4.
I love vacuum sealing my veggies, too, along with canning. You know it can last 6 to year or longer vacuum sealing items. 😊
Hi, first saw you on an Exploring Alternatives video. I think you are awesome!
Hi 👋🏾! Awww thank you! Welcome!
Great video.
I really like the lever handle. And how you can see where you are making the seal. Mine you just stick it in there and it’s a guessing game.
By the way I love your videos
Awesome product
Amen!
I’m purchasing the vacuum sealer because of your video. Continue to share. It’s wonderful to see others gardening in small spaces💪🏾🙏🏾
O nice! I think you’ll love it! Will do! I totally agree!
That is a great vacuum sealer! I bet it's expensive though.
I found horn worms eating my pepper leaves and tomato leaves and I smooshed the ones I found and then doused the plants in seven dust! It worked like a charm; no more horn worms even after the rain washed it off. It's safe to eat tomatoes and peppers 2 days after applying. If any dust is still on the fruit just wash it really well. I was going to get BT or Spinosad but had the Seven dust lying around and couldn't wait for the other to be delivered and to work on the bugs' digestive system. Those damn things were rendering my plants useless and my peppers have not produced any fruit.
I saw some videos recently saying Black Kow has a herbicide in it that is sprayed on hay and grass that is fed to the cows and can kill plants. One farmer had his whole crop of beans killed and had to do all this stuff to dilute it in the beds for several years before he could plant there again because the herbicide is hard to get rid of once it's in the soil. I was considering getting it until I found out about that, so I'm glad I didn't put it in my garden, as I really can't afford to replace all my soil and amendments. Wood compost is safer and it's really fluffy. Luckily I have some on my property that composted from some decomposing trees and so I don't have to buy it. I have spent a considerable amount on other soil additives though because Georgia has alot of clay in the soil. It has taken alot of work to keep it loamy. The clay keeps resurfacing after it rains and I have to till it again.
Hi it works wonderful!
Happy count down to your Birthday ❤
Thank you!
Loving the garden minus the worms!
Love your braids!
Thank you!!
love the vevor i to have a couple vacuum seals but not sealing like that. okay Vevor!
Hey Asia. Happy birthday Month.🎉. It’s my birthday month as well 😆. I used your link and got the Vevor rain barrel. Hubby said just today that he is going to put those paver’s under it to level it out. Great video. Got me tempted with that vacuum sealer 🤔. Have a great weekend ❤
I just love your videos and Happy Birthday!!🎉 I need a vacuum sealer and will be buying the 90kbs one (more in my price point). I freeze dry my cucumbers and powder them to add to water or lemonade.... delicious! It's too hot so I'm done for this year. I wish our temps were in the 70s, we are still hitting 100s. I don't think I would go outside without sweating😂. Looking forward to your series!
Thank you! Ooooo that’s a great idea. I’m going to see if I can dehydrate them. I don’t have a freeze drier. Lol I totally understand.
I’ve never tried a vacuum sealer, but I do buy in bulk so bag or jar things. I like how compact the bags are. Great review. Anyways, hope you enjoy your bday celebrations. 🥳🎉💜
Oh I had the same issue when using too much Black Kow.
My birthday is Sep 22 as well. I'm older... I'll be 50! Happy early birthday! 🎉
O yay! Happy Early Birthday!
Just discovered your channel. You’re adorable!
Thank you 🤗
Thanks for sharing Asia that vacuum sealer is better
In my experience in vac-sealing veggies. All or most veggies have a degree of water. I've noticed that after freezing, although air-tight, when I thaw them, they become soggy. However, try refrigerating some first for a few days and test along with your frozen vac-sealed veggies to see which ones you prefer.
I also buy my meat on sale and vacuum seal them in our size portions
Nice video, Asia. You're making me think about that Vevor vacuum sealer. 🤔 I agree about that seal from what I could see. It looks like it sealed beautifully and was super easy to use. Those hornworms are awful; hope your chickens enjoyed them. Please be careful in this heat. Just yesterday, my husband and I were talking about how 72 degrees really didn't feel like 72, but more like 90. For me, at 11 am here in Zone 8A NC, I would look the way you did at the end of your video. 🥵 Blessings ❣️
Thanks! It worked really well and it was easy use. The chickens enjoyed the treat! You and your husband are right. I couldn’t believe it was actually that temp…it was hot lol!
such a great video i am working on my fall garden in ga i did not know hornworms are still a problem now they wiped out my spring tomato crop and was ho[ing my new crop would not have to deal with them one thing i am getting an abundance of is eggplant happy 40th
Thank you! Yeah I think they show up anytime of year. Hopefully they’ll leave your new crop for you! O yay to the eggplant harvest! Thank you!
Happy Birthday
Black Kow does turn into a brick! I thought it was just me..My last bag of black kow had a bunch of Nats and smelled weird. So I didn't use it. My next bag, I opened it all the way down and let it dry out for a week before I used it. Seemed to be better. My neighbor gave me chicken manure and I like it. I'm in an apt, so I can't make my own compost. But I think I'm just going to try my local bagged compost.
Love your channel
Thank you!!
