Super Star Wars: Return of the Jedi is the third game in the Super Star Wars series, a series notable for its run-and-gun gameplay.
In this run, arandomgameTASer ( tasvideos.org/... ) deals with intense lag reduction, along with many glitches and tricks, to finish the game in a fraction of the time it would take normally. Clearly, the Force is with him.
In addition to this run, there are also runs of the first and second games in the series: Super Star Wars ( tasvideos.org/... ) and Super Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back ( tasvideos.org/... ).

Note: A section of the final level has its audio muted on RUclips to prevent copyright claim and removal of the entire audio track.
Love how in the game, instead of having Vader save you from the emperor, you just have to defeat both of em.
Wow, anyone who played through this game will be very impressed with the platforming around 12:35 onwards - incredibly done.
Yeah +1 to the comment.
The Super Star Wars games are just DPS races to the end apparently.
The Falcon escaping the Death Star is the only thing that prevented me from beating the game...I hate that mission with a passion.
Same thing happened to me! I finished Super Star Wars and Super Empire Strikes back, but this final stage in Super Return of the Jedi is cheap!
Same. It goes on for fucking ages as well.
12:35 I remember this part in 1994 when i was a kid is fucking hard to do.
Is fucking awesome!! / no floor? who care what ever... Deez nuts!? hahaha Got'em
13:12 WTF?!?! Boss Instant KILL!!!
17:31 Whoever did this is a wizard.
I did it as a child. I remember my friends failing at this, because they thought one must press the A (?) Button as fast as possible. But actually you just need to press down A and rotate the Falcon.
Sorry, I meant the zooming mode 7 effect in this scene, I think it's pretty impressive considering the limitations of the Snes, I wonder how they did this, I know you can make zoom effect in mode 7 but this kind of "Fractal" zoom effect it's the first time I see this on an Snes game.
"considering the limitations of the Snes" Didn't they use different Mode7 FX Chips inside the SNES Cardridge?
Edit: I checked the pins. There is no additional Chip in this game. As you said, it must be some kind of magic
They did on many games but not on this one.
snescentral.com/pcbboards.php?chip=SHVC-1A0N-20
one rom + the region lockout chip, no expansion chip.
8:04 BOOTY HYPE
The wicket levels were my favorite as a kid
6:00 to think that thanks to The Bad Batch on Disney Plus, we now know that the rancor is 1) female and 2) named Betsy XD
Lightsaber still looks better than the ones in the Phantom Menace video game
Ah so that's how Luke found his way to Vader in Endor - he cut through hordes of stormtroopers and lizards.
16:08 Amazing, how do you use the freeze power to make Luke jump more? one thing that always fructified me, was that they took away the power of elevation
Sorry for the late response... It's done by making a jump, hold forward when you freeze, you can now walk in midiar for a brief movement, you can then perform another jump and repeat the process.
16:42 was that intentional? That was pretty hilarious.
What
@@protoman2630 He positioned luke to look like he was boning vader.
Механика с заморозкой удивила, много экономит времени.
I remember these levels being long as fuck and i was always just getting lost.
If he's going to make video game things cannon, he has a much bigger fish to fry. There's one Star Wars game where Darth Vader turns into a giant scorpion.
Jedi Mode isn't that much different, just slower.
hold your horses...no...seriously...stop everything....you get through the intro stage...by going in a straight line?
19:03 Lando quoting that was too close! Haha love it!
does anyone know if there is a version of this game where Luke Skywalker has the same powers as the previous one?
well...i never knew leia were that agile, i mean...spinning attack and such......
This gameplay could be more interesting in the Jedi difficulty and using infinite detonators.
What the heck is force freeze, is that even canon. :D
Kind of a gyp this never came out with a version for the original Nintendo.
They were going to but then the SNES came out and when they saw how good the music sounded on it they were like "fuck it" and decided to reboot the trilogy on the SNES
0:20 okay why the heck does this tiny guy laugh while you’re on the title screen?
Because it's what he does in the movie
Ahahahaha yimcha
One most difficult Game i played ever
How do you make Leia shoot that arrow thingy?
It's a charge attack, think like Mega Man X. You can do it with both Leia Boushh and Slave Leia.
I never knew there exists a Star Wars in which you have to play as an Ewok. O_o
Wtf is the last level doing!?
I know! I felt like that skit from Monty Python
*"GET ON WITH IT!"*
heh, probably not.
Why easy??
To reduce input lag and beat the game more faster.
last level make me dizzy x_x
9:25
Jedi mode is slower and more boring.
YEE HAAA YEE HAA YEE HA-
STOP! STOP!
Y E E H A A A
16:58 pop that dab yeeeee
It is correct, but Jedi mode is more appreciated and valued .
This game is impossible
George Lucas can make it canon

Christian Bobb Sorry I didn't know we were both restricted from the following
TAS no easy? VSF!
According to the TASer comments: The first thing that should be addressed is the use of Easy difficulty. Changing the difficulty reduces enemy HP and how many enemies spawn. It does NOT change anything else. So Easy mode is chosen for speed purposes.
Man, that final stage... this game sucks.
don't care
Easy mode? GTFO
