Been watching Stacy David since the TNN "Trucks" days. And I wasn't even into trucks back then. I just liked his presentation and knowledge about automotive repair.
The way his face lit up when you mentioned copperhead. This man loves what he does. I remember when he changed things up after he found out what spike was doing with his creations. What a guy
@@nahimibrahim107 he talks about it at some point on gearz. Big blaze got sold and stripped for parts, I believe that’s the one he saw at a used car lot a while after it was built; ran down with a used small block rather than the crate engine he had installed. The bronco had a similar fate. Basically the network just dumped them off without giving him a chance to make sure they were cared for. He puts his heart and soul into everything he builds.
Seeing him looking a bit older makes me feel old as hell....I remember being somewhere around 10yo waking up on weekends and catching him on gears probably 15-20 years ago lol
Miss those saterday morning shows. Restored my 68 some yrs back when I had my old Gulf station I worked out of, they're getting rare, that my Dad bought new, was my high school ride, de-tunded it after a while to 400hp for pump gas but did build it to handle a little 100hp nitrous shot.
I am a true hot rod muscle car and Street Rod freak but the hilborn injectors are the baddest ever and nobody runs them anymore I love hilborn injectors especially on a old Highboy like a 40 Willys! Fantastic job on the car made my day to see the hilborn injectors on it!
I always loved Stacey and his shows! I missed them very much when the left Spike TV. Thank goodness for youtube. I love his enthusiasm, seems real down to earth. But dang....he has aged!! LOL
Stacey starting to look a little like Gene Simmons from KISS as he ages :-) That Cougar's interior is amazingly well executed, very nice! The outside isn't so bad either hahaha.
Hands down the best guy on t.v. not a poser or some stupid gimmick dork with a beard n glasses all tatted....the real deal honest to goodness make it happen guy...
You know when people are one way on TV then total jerks in real life? Well Stacey David was just as cool and inviting in person as on the show when I met him at SEMA.
Only a 1/64th scale Copperhead????? We need a 1/18 scale version. The thing I really like the most about the Cougar, is that it's really just a Mustang in a tux.
Please Stacy,...build a first generation Dodge Dakota! The potential is unlimited, when you buy the v8 version, and they are fast becoming the next classic pickup!
Definitely would have added to the video. But we caught Stacey in the middle of an autograph signing and we were a little time limited. But watch for more from @gearheadtour with Stacey in the future!
stacey david i got a 2005 crown vic police interceptor what can u and ur show do for my car to make it sound tuff with glass pack and run like it suppose to its got momentom just needs to b leashed out helllllllllllllp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE THANK U
Its funny, the only way I know who he is, was because my sister in law was somehow related to him, and he came out to my family farm to look at the cars my brothers and I had stored there. He didn't care about my GTOs, LeMans, Trans Ams, and Formulas, but he was jazzed up about the 69 and 70 Chargers my brothers had. He came by the farm while I was deployed to Kuwait, so I didn't meet him or anything. Been a gearhead my entire life, got into cars around 1980 when I was 11, bought my first one in 1982 which I still have. Its a 1967 Cougar, which is why I clicked this video. Sadly I have not driven my Cougar since 1987, other cars of mine have been through my shop, but I think the Cougar should be running next year.. 35 years is a long time to not drive a car you own.
I like Stacy as well. Very knowledgeable and what seems like a genuine dude. But man, talk to a hair professional. What that's all about, I have no idea
Have learned so much over the years watching guys like Stacey David, Ian Johnson, Lou Santiago and Kevin Tetz, and others.
So true!
It’s a shame that everyone you mentioned hosted fantastic shows on powerblock that all got ran into the ground. Current hosts are next to unwatchable
Been watching Stacy David since the TNN "Trucks" days. And I wasn't even into trucks back then. I just liked his presentation and knowledge about automotive repair.
Same here. Been a fan for a long time.
I love watching Stacey David's Gearz. All of his projects are great. I especially love the V-8 interceptor and Sargent Rock
The way his face lit up when you mentioned copperhead. This man loves what he does. I remember when he changed things up after he found out what spike was doing with his creations. What a guy
I always wondered what happened. What was Spike doing to his creations?
@@nahimibrahim107 he talks about it at some point on gearz. Really wish you showed the car more. Love Stacey David though. Grew up watching his shows every Sunday.
We hope to get down to Tennessee to talk with Stacey again. We will see if we can get more on this cool build.
The 1st gen Bronco build Stacy did a couple few years back is my favorite, it's one badass Ford....
Awesome to see this. I would love to meet Stacey some day. I have tons of respect for him and what he builds.
Maybe one day!
That thing is sick. I love it.
agreed!
Jon Kaas shop is right down the street from me. One of the best Ford race motor shops in the world.
My older step brother and me loved gears or trucks or whatever he was on.
Love your show Stacey David!! Love the ford projects
Sweet looking Mercury you got there Stacy. Paint looks a mile deep. Love the stacks 👍👍👍 Interior is kick ass. 🍻👍👍👍
My first car was a 67 Cougar . Love Stacey's Cougar. The black looks great 👍
post up some pics over at facebook.com/groups/gearheadtourfans
I sure am glad you actually showed the viewers his car.
Seeing him looking a bit older makes me feel old as hell....I remember being somewhere around 10yo waking up on weekends and catching him on gears probably 15-20 years ago lol
we grew up on those shows!
Stacey dispels the all too common misconception where talent and credibility are directly proportional to the amount of tattoos on your body.
He just needs to get rid of that dead animal laying on his head... Looks awful..
Seams to be a very nice guy, Loved watching his shows knows what he is talking about unlike some other people on there car shows....
We have crossed paths with him several times and he really is a great guy.
Met him in Madison WI airport very nice guy to talk to.
Another gear head I grew up watching. So cool.
Same here!
Now that's an old Cougar I wouldn't mind being chased by!
Love that story, Gene. You should head over to our GearHeadTour fan page and post some pics! facebook.com/groups/gearheadtourfans
One awesome looking Mercury love the black paint.
It's a nice build, for sure.
So cool! I was unfamiliar if this guy till this video, now I’m excited to see his other builds! Great video!
He has been on TV for years, now also available on Amazon Prime and RUclips.
Been around forever. Great guy and always needs a haircut!
I’ve always loved this model of Cougars and from what I can see of this one….. damn nice.
The guitar is just an added bonus. Class all the way.
This black mercury is so nice .. Stacy builds 😎 trucks and cars

Absolutely love stacey David...his show is one of a kind.. and he knows his stuff..I'd love to meet him In person
I always loved the 67’ Cougar especially with the stacks. Very cool car
Some people hate the stacks. Some people love 'em. The beauty of car customization. Make it your own!
This mercury' is beautiful a great job

Stacey is one of the coolest guys ever
Love the interior.
The interior is cool
Love this Cougar, miss the show !
I am a true hot rod muscle car and Street Rod freak but the hilborn injectors are the baddest ever and nobody runs them anymore I love hilborn injectors especially on a old Highboy like a 40 Willys! Fantastic job on the car made my day to see the hilborn injectors on it!
Right on
I like when Stacey David played Tony Danza on Taxi
I always loved Stacey and his shows! I missed them very much when the left Spike TV. Thank goodness for youtube. I love his enthusiasm, seems real down to earth. But dang....he has aged!! LOL
We all have aged.
Still rocking that hairdo 🙈😂
I think it was the 850 HP made him go gray
I had a 67 cougar... Wish I still had it
Is it just me or is Stacey David starting to look more like James May from Grand Tour?
LOVE COUGARS
Stacey starting to look a little like Gene Simmons from KISS as he ages :-)
That Cougar's interior is amazingly well executed, very nice! The outside isn't so bad either hahaha.
That interior was REALLY well done.
Thankfully he doesn't act like Gene Simmons. Nic car!
Hey its Stacey David from Gearz.
The man, the myth, the legend.
less talk, more car
point taken.
It.s been awhile since i.ve seen gearz.. but i really liked the video.s with the cherry bomb... mufflers.. have a nice day....
Boss 9 is a hemi killer
I remember TRUCKIN show. Stacey I Love your taste for cars man. I gotta look you up and sub.👍
Go FORD!!!!
I always thought the Cougars looked like a Mustang/Charger cross. Very cool. Nice axe too, those PRS guitars are class.
They are!
That guitar had some beautiful curly maple oh and the car was awesome.
Yes it was!
Three Words....UNDER THE HOOD!
We missed out, for sure. We promise to get it next time.
Hands down the best guy on t.v. not a poser or some stupid gimmick dork with a beard n glasses all tatted....the real deal honest to goodness make it happen guy...
always remember the xr7 great car just getting into it in a hot sunny summer day all that crome inside
You know when people are one way on TV then total jerks in real life? Well Stacey David was just as cool and inviting in person as on the show when I met him at SEMA.
Nice cougar, can't stand those tires & wheels(hey, I'm old).....Ole Stacy is showing his age....GOD BLESS!!!
Only a 1/64th scale Copperhead????? We need a 1/18 scale version. The thing I really like the most about the Cougar, is that it's really just a Mustang in a tux.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
That so freaking cool 😫
Nice to see the chuckle head not chuckling.
Pretty cool
Please Stacy,...build a first generation Dodge Dakota!
The potential is unlimited, when you buy the v8 version, and they are fast becoming the next classic pickup!

This was filmed at Somernights Cruise in Somerset, Kentucky.

Wouldn't it have been nice to actually SEE this Ford Hemi?
Absolutely beings that both the 427 SOHC & the 429 Boss were both Hemis. And they have other morphodite aftermarket Ford Hemis.
Definitely would have added to the video. But we caught Stacey in the middle of an autograph signing and we were a little time limited. But watch for more from @gearheadtour with Stacey in the future!
What time can you be here I'll be on the porch
I’m kinda meh about the car, but that interior is sweet!
Pop the hood😢..Dig Stacey tho. Been watching him since I was a kid.
Certainly a missed opportunity. But we caught Stacey in the middle of an autograph signing, so it was a quick hit for this interview.
Can we do a side by side with James May, please?
I also thought the Copper Head truck was totally bad ass.
agreed
The King of German helmets
My 1st car 😭

@@GearHeadTour traded it.. For 1983montecarloss that I still have..but still looking for another 67Mercury
@@GearHeadTour black&tan vinyl top....the interior matched the tan vinyl top running 289 for 400$ 30 years ago. It was sweet
I’m building my 69 cougar
Absolutely my favorite car of all time. Sexy, sexy.
I've always dreamed of having a 1967, XR7. To me, it's a luxury version of the mustang.
Yeah - what about the HALL DODGE.
Soooo...the "Interceptor" has side pipes AND tailpipes...?
I thought this would be about the car. Boy was I wrong. More about other builds he did and a guitar.
FORD SHOULD RETRO THE 68 COUGAR
WITH THE 428 CJ.
They are stuck on electric crossovers now...
Stacey, Gene Simmons would like his hair back.
Stacey David? Never heard of her, is she part of the all girls garage, looks like she knows what is current in the hot rod world,
Nice hair......
Miss Kentucky lives in Tennessee?
It's true.
stacey david i got a 2005 crown vic police interceptor what can u and ur show do for my car to make it sound tuff with glass pack and run like it suppose to its got momentom just needs to b leashed out helllllllllllllp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE THANK U

I will take that cougar over a Chevy any day
Jinx !!! Hahaha !!!
Dude … time to cut the hair already
I like the show you had, but that hair!

I like Stacy as well. Very knowledgeable and what seems like a genuine dude. But man, talk to a hair professional. What that's all about, I have no idea
they didn't start it up...thumbs down.
musclecar gene simmons
just don't see these cars, especially exuding this much attitude, bad kitty.
Fords...'semi-Hemi'.
He gets his hair cut at the same place where Gene Simmons gets his cut.
Man Stacy's looking old
It happens to the best of us, Robert
@@GearHeadTour Father Time is undefeated. My man is holding up pretty well though, I think.
wheres ypur neighborhood? i might b that guy
I do not like the stacks! Other than that nice build.
Uhhhh can you lift the hood?
I don't know him personally but I hated his show....its just a very long Infomercial for sellers..
Used used to watch Wayne Gap Jack Roush black cougar call Super Cat with hilborn injection at Niagara Dragstrip Niagara Falls New York late 60s
Every car show today is a informercial. Some more blatant than others.
It maybbe a long infomercial buti i have learned and used some valuable building techniques from watching his show.
