  • Subject matter includes the Stallones (Jackie and Sylvester), Tammy Faye Bakker, Hudson & Hall the New Zealand cooks, Santa Barbara (soap opera), pornography, and Zsa Zsa Gabor, towards whom Cook had longstanding animosity.
He also discusses a program called 'Strange But True', a section of which was obviously played earlier in the show (although I don't have a copy of that part).

In the absence of the "Strange But True" footage, let me explain the gist: A voice-over guy comes on and explains that you are about to see things that "are strange" (dramatic pause (with hand gesture)) "BUT TRUE". Then some footage of a calamitous event (not altogether clear). A guy walks down a railway track with a stick. Then some disembodied, plaintive voice calls out "FIND MY LEG, it's on the top..." It turns out that it is on the top of this building, but you can't see the whole leg.

    Thanks for posting this.
I remember watching this in Australia.
The ghost show was hilarious as well.
It was some American reenactment show about ghosts.

Thanks Frog and Peach for your wonderful 'Cook's Tour' of videos. Great sketch btw the Frog and Peach. 'Where can a young couple with not too much to spend get a really fine frog and a damn good peach? [Or was it the other way around.] Answer came there none, so on this premise, on these very premises, I opened the Frog and Peach . . .' What was it? 'Frog a la peche' and 'Peche a la frog' . . . Brilliant.

I remember that show with Michael Aspel. Very cheap and cheesy but fun to watch.

Good. Of course he's just an animal, but why do animals sometimes impress us? I wonder why the animals do sometimes give us representations of what it means to be human. I wonder that a lot, actually.
