While I do like your usual ASMR content, I absolutely love when you just talk about your life or any interest you may have. People talking about what they like and why is comforting and interesting.

So I’ve probably said this before at some point in the last 10 years, but my mother used to clean Stephen King’s house! We used to go to his Halloween parties and one year he gave us a 60” projection tv, which at the time was probably worth more than my mother’s car lol. He was always out and about locally until he got hit by a van. That van is now a crushed cube sitting in the yard of his other Maine home 😂

I love the roleplays but these kinds of videos are my favourites from you, maybe because they're rare in comparison, who knows

Always love it when people share things they are passionate about, it always makes for interesting videos. I know the roleplay videos are really cool and have so much care that go into them but I always like these videos a lot as well and its great when they pop up.
I LOVED Jurassic Park (and the Lost World) as a kid. I remember reading those books LONG before I probably should have when I was young and all the wild stuff in them like Nedry and the Dilophosaurus. I was a bit upset as a kid when they changed the 2nd movie so much from the book lol. Im also remembering Congo and Sphere from the same author.
These catch up chats are so utterly calming after a long day. I remembered that you were a big Stephen King fan but I didn't realize The Shining was your favorite. I think that's my personal favorite of his as well right above the The Stand or the short story The Jaunt. I don't think there's anyone that has influenced my exploration of anime/manga tastes more than you with Black Butler, One Piece, or Trigun. You've got good taste Jen 😉

Heaven officials blessing is so good!! watched the first season a year ago and then read the novel and have been obsessed ever since i especially love xie lian ive cried so much in his flashbacks 😭 also there is a art book but its a different artist than the novels artists (its the artist that did the art for the comic i recommend checking out their art its very pretty)

I love this kind of video, one of your first i stumbled upon was you going through the Marvel encyclopedia. I could listen to you talk about stuff you like for hours. Love hearing your takes on comics stuff, as someone who grew up reading a lot of my dad's old 70s Fantastic Fours, I'm happy to hear you defend them :) Something I cannot reccomend enough if you're into horror/trying to get into DC stuff, is the Hellblazer comic series, particularly any runs by Garth Ennis and Jamie Delano.

If you want to read about Jon Kent, then I recommend starting with Superman (2016) and Super Sons (2017) [The Robin in it is actually Damian Wayne, who is the 5th Robin. Not Dick Grayson, who was the 1st. So don't expect a Robin like the ones from the Teen Titans or Young Justice cartoon. Damian is still an enjoyable character to read about! He just has a much more abrasive personality. But Jon is pretty much sunshine personified, so their friendship is well balanced.]. Both are Rebirth titles, so look for that on the cover to make sure you're reading the right series!

I absolutely love your earings 🤩 and I didn't see that coming, at 12:47, I'm also fan of danmei novels, the three stories you mentioned here have donghuas (chinese anime). And if you enjoy stories surrounded by tragedy, mistery and love ofc, I recommend Meatbun's stories, another famous danmei writer. Great video!

Jurassic Park has been on my to-read list for the longest time. Currently reading the locked tomb series. As for manga I'm reading Dandadan(which i highly recommend), and I loved the little on screen edits.

I'm watching as I leave this comment, but I got to the light novels part and I have just started reading them myself, I've only read one Ascendence of a Bookworm and it's SO good. A book loving woman dies and gets reincarnated in a fantasy world as a sickly young poor girl and there are no books so she makes it her goal to create them from scratch. It's lighthearted but a real page turner!
Great video !. These chatty ones are awesome. A comic book I would recommend is "The Killing Joke". Its a Batman book from the late 80s and is an absolute masterpiece on every level. Heath Ledger based his take on The Joker on this book. Its incredibly dark and twisted but its outstanding and if you've never read it i can't recommend it highly enough.

You know what’s really interesting. Your copy of the Shining you said is about 416 pages long. My copy of The Shining, from a different publisher, has a bigger font for the words and it is over 600 pages long!

I like both the book and the movie for The Shinning, I agree that they are quite different, I think if you know that from the start and consider the film more like a "cover" instead of an adaptation I think you can enjoy it more
I also love to save books, I buy them and have them on display until it's "the right time" to read them 😅
26:20 pretty sure what you’re trying to say is John Kent (Superman son) and Damian Wayne (Batman’s blood son and 5th Robin). I don’t know that much about them (just that they got kinda retconned as a duo latter because of time shenanigans) but they’re known as the Supersons!

You are extremely entertaining and interesting to listen to. There is amazing animation and verbal expression going on in this video. I imagine you would be ideal in drama or teaching in any situation. Your accent sounded like it embodied much influence from Scotland where it is perhaps a Glaswegian or Edinburgh accent.
Yet, stunningly, you mentioned you were in Northern England; an area that includes many English accents. The Tyneside English or Newcastle English are well-known accents to many; nonetheless, there is an element of a Scottish brogue which is represented. Thank you for your presentation of your favourite book reads.

Read them both, it took a while, but, I, uh, found a way. 😊 I seem to remember enjoying the prologue in particular. 🦖👧 I remember all the square maze thingies for each chapter? Not sure if they are still in the newer editions. 😵💫 Was lucky enough to experience the JP ride in Florida too! I may have watched the original JP in the cinema, but it might’ve been the sequel! 🧠🌫️ The diplodocus (or is it brachiosaurus) scene is probably my favourite ever scene! 🌴🦕 Manga…don’t mention Mo Xiang Tong Xiu…don’t mention Mo Xi…oh 🐓! 😂 FRUGAL TIMES! 🎎 Three names per character? 🤯 Loving the manga names, lol. I remember that video you didn’t put out, as it were 🥲 BB and OHSHC…how surprising 😅👏 I feel so fricken’ old saying this, but I used to read Beano and Dandy comics as a kid. ❤ Stephen king. I actually liked the movie Doctor Sleep but I also haven’t read the book yet. From what I heard, King doesn’t like the shining movie either, but I do believe he had a hand in the mini series of the shining which follows more closely with the book
