It still pains me to look at comics, after I lost all of mine in a house fire. I started collecting in the 80s, all the way up to 2017. It's cool to see other collectors though. Keep the tradition alive!

Yes! This is a really good collection. Like, really good. I love spending hours just reading comics when I have time. Never change girl.
I've been reading and collecting comic books for the last 42 years.... and I've been listening to ASMR videos for about 2 years now (ASMR videos have honestly helped me to retain my sanity). I enjoyed this video and have listened to it more than once.... and there are two things that I REALLY stand out to me as the reasons that I like this video so much. The first reason is that when you begin to inject different ASMR "triggers' or what not it doesn't seem forced at all. I like that. I don't enjoy videos where all of the the triggers are totally forced and unnatural. The second thing that I like so very much about this video is... your voice and accent. It blows my mind every time that I watch the video again. You've got something special young lady so please don't stop doing what you do so well.

Continued up until like Season 12. Angel also continued in comic form up to like season 11.

I mostly read DC but every now and then I like to try something without superheroes. Image has some great non-superhero books like Chew and Fatale. I'm also a big fan of Transmetropolitan and The Sandman. My trades/HC collection is getting quite big. I have three bookcases full and now I need a fourth. I've been collecting single issues since about 1985 but comic books aren't sold around here anymore so I have to order the collections from Amazon.

Yeah, New 52 was a complete reboot of the whole DC universe. A few years later DC did Rebirth which was a kind of soft reboot of the whole lineup, that merged the characters from the New 52 Universe with the pre-New 52 versions of themselves. Something like that.
I don't know if anyone else gets this feeling, but I always get somewhat anxious whenever someone brings out really delicate or personal objects of worth since I always feel like something bad will happen to them. I was worried she would drop one, or accidentally rip a page, or something like that.

I'm a HUGE comic book fan as well. If it's not bills, house payments, and my cat, my money tends to go into comics. Nightcrawler is one of my favorite X-Men, as well. Cyclops is probably my favorite and then Nightcrawler right after him. I always liked Cyclops because I understood not fitting in and trying to be responsible and feeling left out of things a bit. I always liked Nightcrawler because of his religious beliefs, but he managed to be a swashbuckling fun-lover at the same time. A great character. My favorite female Buffy character was Willow and my favorite male was by far Spike. I always hated Angel. He's pretty self-righteous to be such an evil bastard. And he was kind of a loser when he was human. At least Spike had a heart before he turned.I see you're mostly into the graphic novel collections. You should try the Sandman from DC's Vertigo line. A true "graphic novel". A wonderful story told in comics form. It's started again in monthly form, but you don't need to mess with that unless you just like the original and continue with it.Finally, you are WAY prettier than Poison Ivy! If you want to do the cosplay, you should go for it. I'm sure you would make it work even better in the comics. Keep reading! Nice to see another collector online with similar taste!
Nice hardcover for the Marvel TPBs. Is that a matte finish? Haven't seen those in the states.

Jen. You have to check out Brubaker, Philips and Breitweiser's work - Kill or Be Killed. The single best comic series in existence bar NONE. Brilliant, suspenseful and so gritty you'll need to rinse your mouth and empty your shoes.

Have you ever read any Jonathan Hickman? He’s my favourite Marvel writer. He writes great big stories that take years to unfold but come together beautifully. His runs on Secret Warriors and Fantastic Four are both absolute storytelling perfection. They’re just about to release his new X-Men series.
(Also, yes, Joss Whedon did do some some work on Runaways. He had his own run after Brian K Vaughan left.)
Love that ultimate spider-man, Guardians are my first comics i picked up my self. Wasnt to fond of the fantastic four stuff the characters just didnt grab me . great collection

You should totally check out the new Winter Soldier series! There’s only two issues out rn, the third one is getting released on February 13th, 2019! It’s one of my favorites and the art is so pretty!! Bucky’s character development is amazing! Also, I recommend Avengers: No Surrender and Quicksilver: No Surrender! I can’t say to much about these ones (spoilers!), but they are 1000% worth the read, especially the Quicksilver solo!

I want a movie Nightcrawler who is a proper Kurt! I admit I've not seen the last several, but he was so dark and depressing way back in X-Men 2 ;.; Also, I wish Marvel would release graphic novels of the Excalibur series from back in the day. My brother had them and I would read them in secret when he was at college. I want to read them again so badly, but he doesn't even have them anymore just because it's been fifteen years. What a jerk. But there are EXCELLENT Kitty and Kurt stories.
The Nightcrawler in Age of Apocalypse was actually one of the better things about that movie. He's younger and much sweeter. Plus, he rocks a Michael Jackson jacket :)
Batman Hush is a great read! You might like Image comics Invincible.
I love Runaways I've got the Deluxe editions of that comic. I think there was an episode where they realized that they were destined to be the future Avengers. Flashpoint is the best The Flash comic. Also check out Mark Waid's Daredevil

long videos eat my patience. This is kind of crazy but Nightcrawler is also one of my favorites characters. He is in the video game Clone Wars I like his powers of disappearing and appearing somewhere else the sound he's power makes when he disappears. I thought the movie was awesome as well. the fight scene in the hallway. And one of my other ones is Gambit I tried finding a poster with him with chains and an Iron Mask but I think that's from a comic book not a poster.

I tried really hard to read the Buffy comics, but I think I just completely tuned out around the time they went to Japan. Kept forcing myself for a while, and I'm glad they made such a good run of it, but it just got waaay too removed from the original spirit for me.
Those Ultimate FF books in particular have absolutely gorgeous artwork :O Sure hope they bring them into the MCU soon! So weird to think of the Marvel universe without them in it...

From DC, Idk why but I have a feeling you'd like Booster Gold and Ted Kord ( Blue Beetle.) I personally adore them, aside from other characters, but those two tend to be lighter characters in general until you reach a certain part of their history. They are just a bunch of two misfit losers who are the BEST of friends. They aren't even good at being heroes but they are super endearing? Idk. Anyway, I completely recommend any of their comics. Their time together is mostly from PRE-new52 era (also known as New Earth) so if you look for their comics, keep that in mind.
I can also provide a reading order list if you'd like so you can always just shoot me a message if you're interested and need a starting off point. I know these things can get complicated.

On the DC side, if you've never read Neil Gaiman's Sandman, run, don't walk to your LCS and pick up the trades of that. I also think you might dig Scott Snyder's Wytches that was published by Image.
Sandman is absolutely fantastic.
Sandman is the masterpiece of my life. Its a incredible thing that Neil Gaiman produced, its insane.
