@Pro Jey96 Grimjow is almost like Kenpachi. He does like to crush everyone but he is full aware that he "still" isn't able to crush absolutely everyone so he does love people that challenge him because that's the only way he will get stronger and he knows it. It also pisses him off a lot. Tekking says he is destruction but I think he is more like destructive ambition.
@Pro Jey96 yes, Kenpachi just wants raw fighting. But Grimjow is just the kind of guy that wants to fight until he is the only one standing. He wants to be the best and not by a small margin. That's why he wants to destroy everyone that he sets his sights on. Like you said, it's like a complex, if he doesn't absolutely destroy them, then he'll probably create doubts about himself in his own mind. I see Grimjow almost like I see Vegeta
@Pro Jey96 Tbh, you kind of nailed it. There's a lot of stuff that subconsciously and subliminally went down with Grimmjow and Ichigo.
Based on his flashback, I interpreted Grimmjow's attitude regarding always proving himself and seeking battle is based ultimately in fear. The fear of regression. Defeat or complacency would mean regression, and in fear he lashes out in a very destructive way, fulfilling his aspect of death.
Bleach hype, let’s hope they allow him to give the series a proper ending in anime format making up for the rush that was pushed on him during the manga days

Grimmjow was my fav espada, Ulquiorra close second. His edgy look, reckless and rebellious personality, even his color palate resonates so well with me.

@Pro Jey96 well if Ichigo is looking at him with the belief he can and will win, so it is understandable that grimjoww made that misunderstanding. We learn the truth about that determined look which Ichigo fights ulquiorra. He doesn't fight like he does because he believes he can win, but because he believes he has to.

He and ichigo are the only ones I can ever see as rivals because of how their personalities are when you compare them with ulquiorra and him. But that’s just my opinion.
Actually I’d look at ichigo fighting grimmjow as more of a lion fighting a tiger.

Yeah I'd say the same. Uryu is ichigos friend. Renji is I'd say like a brother to ichigo cause of their relationship with Rukia. Kinda like a slight rival but I got your back no matter what at the same time. Kenpachi I've always felt like he sees the potential that ichigo has and he wants him to reach it in his own way. Grimmjow on the other hand is a rival in the purest sense. He was curious about ichigo at first but like kenpachi he saw the potential for more strength and sort of felt like he wanted to be the one to reap the rewards of that potential for a fight. I noticed something about Grimmjow in that he smiled the most when he was around ichigo. Like he was sort of giddy with anticipation for a knock down balls out fight. I think ichigo in a way felt kinda the same in that under any other circumstances they could be great rivals and like sparring partners in the road to greater strength

I always liked Grimjow and especially his rivalry with Ichigo. It makes me want that Grimjow stay as a proper main character kinda like Vegeta in DBZ.

I'm not really sure why everyone sees them as rivals... I mean on the surface they may look like ones but... They're really not rivals at all

I hadn’t noticed until now, but long flowing hair seems to be a trend amongst the Espada when they go into their resurrection form

It's one of the common Japanese tropes. When a character's hair length increases, assume they got much more powerful.
Other examples being SSJ3, and Yusuke from Yu Yu Hakusho in his Demon Form.

Grimmjow is my favorite espada, well him and stark, because he just loves the fight. In a series with so many plans, background moving, and reasons for fighting he just explodes with Goku flare.
Yeah Grimmjow has the most passion which is why he ranks a bit higher than Ulquorra for me.

I'm kinda disappointed that we never got any interaction between Grimmjow and Barragan. Both defined themselves as being "The King", you'd kinda figure Grimmjow would see Barragan as his primary target to overcome

Always loved the rivalry between ulquiorra and grimmjow during the arrancar arc honestly even more then both of their respective rivalry with ichigo.That brief skirmish ulquiorra and grimmjow had with each other was epic really wish kubo developed deeper into their rivalry as the story progress. Ulquiorra was stronger but you can tell he acknowledged that grimmjow had the potential to be just as strong as him and grimmjow even thought he didnt want to admit, respected ulquiorra strength.
this man tekking is prolly thriving in quarantine. He doesnt really have to stop doing his materiel or change anything from all this.
In the TYBW arc, I want more interactions with him and Nelliel as their somewhat relationship is entertaining. They both want Ichigo for different reasons and in CFYOW they do have chemistry, just need more of them cuz they are my favourite Arrancar
I hated Grimmjow at first, now I love his character. One of my favourite Espada's.
Once the anime returns or during Burn the Witch time, you could do the 12 Days of Bleachmas around Christmas for the Lieutenants. You still get to talk about your precious Rukia lol
Grimmjow, one of my favorites in the series. Great to see a video on him.
There is something I have noticed about his aspect of death. While destruction is not something you would really think of as something positive, it is also not something that is completely negative either.
After all, some things need to be torn down, so something better can emerge in their place. And Grimmjow, through his actions, did influence both the fall of Aizen (by fighting Ichigo, making him stronger) and being one of the few to bring down more than one of the Sternritters (Quilge and Askin), thus helping in bringing down the Wandenreich.
On a more positive note, if he does end up helping Halibel and Nel with ruling Hueco Mundo, he is also technically helping with destroying the old way of life for the hollows, by working together with others. By actually improving things for their world, he is still being an embodiment of destruction, just in a more benevolent way.
I do hope we get more of him and Nel in the upcoming anime. That would be a nice addition.

Grimmjow was the only Espada that knew how to fight, his combat style was fluid, creative, and effective. All the other Espada relied on their special Abilities or made overpowered simplified attacks that were very linear in nature.

Hey tekking, I am somebody who Love's your one piece videos and has very little experience with the Bleach anime and because it's so huge I find it hard to get into, so if you don't mind me asking if I were to try and get into this anime is there any good place to start? Or could you made a video like "bleach for beginners"? I just wanted to make a suggestion I love your videos and don't want to force anything
The best place to start is the beginning. But there are a lot of filler so you may want to look up an episode guide to know what to skip.
Grimmjow is confirmed to be the strongest living Espada in the 1000yr Blood War arc.

@@keironrodriguez3736 Halibel was imprisoned and was weakened because of it, and I believe Nel died in the 1000yr Blood War Arc fighting Askin, although it's kinda complicated.
@@netrolancer1061 well Niel did not die coz she did not even do anything in that arc well still grimmjow "can" be stronger than her becoz her mask is broken and vausing the leak of her reiatsu in the end I therefore conclude that grimmjow is the strongest espada just becoz the strong ones are dead and the living espadas are not in healthy state.peace

the way I see it, Grimmjow's only purpose was to force Ichigo to master his hollowfication. after that Grimmjow had no purpose.
