You know what makes you different from all the other violin players?? Others just play their version on their own knowledge, but you are ready to share that knowledge with ametuers like us and that makes you special😁
Thank you for all your support and kind words.I too was an amateur looking for notes some 10 years ago. With more practice, improving my knowledge for notes by hearing/ playing and modern technology and softwares, I was able to write notes and thought of all those budding artists like me striving to play songs and looking for notes. You contain your knowledge with in yourself, it will rot. You share the knowledge , then it will grow. :). Do share my videos with your family and friends and share the knowledge. Also please subscribe to my channel if you have not.

Hello Pavan. I did my Certificate course (4 years) in Carnatic violin many years ago and kept playing now and then and recently again started playing film songs. You can play violin nicely with gamakas and all if you can atleast learn till Varnas or keerthanas which might take atleast 2 years depending on how fast you learn. Always have a strong basics and never be in a hurry to learn any instrument. Every day practice of all the lessons you learn daily will give a great foundation for you to play amazingly. So if you want to learn violin, I say dedicate lot of time in basics - Bowing, plains notes, and techniques. And above all, choosing a great guru - go to a government music college where the teachers are vidhwaans and you will get the most out of your time and money.
Sreerag jayakumar I did my certificate course from Sri Bhakta Ramadasu Music and dance college in Hyderabad. Since it’s a government college, back then it was 50 rupees for a year. I am sure now it would not be more than 500/-. You get great teachers teaching you for very less price.
NIBIN 113 I don’t speak/ or understand Malayalam . Did you mean you need notes? They are in the description section. Expand the description section and you should find it there. Let me know if you don’t find it.
Added western notes. Though it was just replacing carnatic with western notes, was a bit tiresome so could do only Pallavi. You can just equate carnatic note to western and replace for Charam. Let me know if this helped.
Sir I am a complete beginner that s why I am asking you that is there is any difference between carnatic and western tuning and which tuning you used in this or here pls replay
Hi. Please watch my video about shruthi and tuning. I have explained all this in that video. All my violin covers are Carnatic based tuning. Yes there is difference in western tuning vs Carnatic vs Hindustani . Watch the video and let me know if U still have any questions.
wonderfully played!! can you please let us know where we can get the notes for telugu songs ?I tried searching online but couldn't find any specific site. Thanks again
Sravanthi Soma thank u. Unfortunately there aren’t many sites for Telugu songs. You can check myoozic.com but most of the notes are western notes and not Carnatic. But you should be able to convert it to Carnatic .
I don’t think this is set in any particular raaga. Like many film songs, this one too starts in a raagam but then introduces other swaras not native to the raagam and in charanam completely deviates into other raagam base. The heavy use of those foreign swaras in the song is what gives the song a good feel to it. There are many songs that are purely raaga based but many don’t follow a particular raaga and this is one such song. Please do let me know if I am wrong and this is actually set in a raaga. Would love to learn.
Both are best in their own space. However, someone who have learnt western may not be able to play Carnatic fluently but someone who has learnt Carnatic can play western fluently. Learning western gives you a good command over bowing and understanding violin better as violin is a western instrument. But learning Carnatic gives you command over finger movements and a huge range of scales. I would say start with Carnatic and once he is into it for say around 4-5 years, slowly introduce western and it’s concepts and how western can be combined with Carnatic. Also if u r in India, there are many great violin teachers but few western. But if u are outside India it’s the opposite. Hope this helps.
Mohana ragam has gamakas for Ri and Dha . For Ri gamakam starts in Sa goes till Ga and comes back to Ri. Same with Dha. Start in pa go till Sa and come back to Dha
