Come along with us as we explore one of Bangkok’s most famous street food markets: JODD FAIRS. There was honestly so much different food here and the market itself was huge! We saw a good blend of more traditional / local foods such as a dish called Leng Zab - a spicy pork bone soup - and also more western foods! It was a really fun night market to explore and if you’re ever in Bangkok we highly suggest paying it a visit!

I'm Bangkokian don't eat bug but i watched many foreigner eat them hahaha .

The first bug stand that I saw I think was on Kaosarn Road. Definitely a sub-culture picked up by a group of tourists initially.

I don't blame you for having a certain perception on this part of the world. The media in the west has a certain pattern when it comes to portraying the world outside the west, w/ a few exceptions of course. Apple has just pulled its 9-minute advert due to a backlash from Thais and foreigners who know Thailand alike. In the commercial, Bangkok is depicted as if you had gone back 30-40 years in time.
@@BitcoinLadyBoy We agree! We were very surprised by how modern it was! But we absolutely loved Bangkok, by far one of the best cities we’ve visited! It’s crazy how the west portray things a certain way!

No one eat bugs in Thailand. Maybe some Thais in the rural parts of the country. It's there for the tourists to eat....and filmed to post on RUclips.

Lot of Thais eat insects, bugs. It’s super common for last 2 decades here.

@@Kong_chailand_Bangkok we do!! since travelling thailand we’ve tried lots of different thai dishes! i think we were just craving more snacky bits at this food market though😂

We really enjoyed it there! :)
Jodd Fairs is a tourist trap! It's overpriced so you won't see Thai locals eat there. The people who you think are Thai are actually Chinese tourists. The locals go to smaller night markets outside of the tourist areas.

Please rewatch from 2:05. All we said was that the places we have visited haven’t been as modern - Vietnam, Laos etc. We compared Bangkok to Tokyo because we agreed it was a very well developed, amazing city.
