The global travel authority Lonely Planet released its Best in Travel 2022 book and named the top 10 countries, cities and regions to visit in 2022.
It named Queensland's stunning Scenic Rim region as one of the world's hottest destinations for travel next year, being named in the Top 10 Regions in the World (2022).
It was the only Australian inclusion on this exclusive list.
This spectacular hinterland area is home to six National Parks including World Heritage Rainforest, and is just an hour from Queensland's capital city Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
The Scenic Rim is a spectacular semicircle of ancient volcanic mountains that wrap around the beautiful valleys, and lay the fertile foundations for the flavour-filled farmlands below.
The Scenic Rim stretches from Canungra to The Lost World, Beaudesert to Boonah, Tamborine Mountain to Kalbar.
The Scenic Rim is home to the ancient World Heritage-listed Gondwana Rainforests, historic national parks, charming towns and villages, adventure parks and farm stays; craft breweries, boutique wineries, ecolodges, tantalising gourmet experiences, world class camping and glamping, breathtaking spaces and everything in between.
