All the great effort into video editing and visual effects, only totally fail on the audio. Had to look elsewhere for a better sounding tutorial. Game design: 8.5/10 Video and effects: 10/10 Audio: Bowl of bad mashed potatoes
This video did way more to explain the game than the rule book did. I also really feel that this game lacks from not being able to hit Thanos at some point. I enjoyed the game, but the victory felt a little anti-climactic after everything. EDIT: Needing to correct my statement. I somehow skipped the section in the book that clearly states that bonuses can be used for other players. THe only part that I am uncertain on is if they can be used before Thanos rolls his dice. (IE, can I give another player healing before he prevents healing for the turn).
@@ricardobenitez102 - Thanks for the reply. We eventually settled on that as the proper way to play. Confusion came since players thought they could use tokens at any point on their turn, and their turn begins by placing their token on the board (which happens before Thanos rolls).
Few questions 1. What other teams are playable? 2. If Thanos stays put in the sector he’s in, do the heroes in that section still take damage and do the villains abilities still trigger?
1) The playable teams are based on the team cards included in the box, and each one indicates the starting hero. There are 4 in the game (starting heroes are: Black Panther (blue), Dr. Strange (green), Gamora (purple), and Captain America (red) and there was 1 promo team card that allowed players to use Thor as a starting hero (also green, but it came with a new token so players could use both green teams in the same game). 2. Yes, Thanos always does damage and activates villains in his current sector - even when he stays put.
So, as an owner of this awesome game, and a happy customer of USAopoly (especially on this 4th of July), and as a commenter on this video... I would like to add my name to the shortlist to potentially WIN that awesome print of *Thanos* by Andrew's right arm. :) Make it happen USAopoly. :D
I have never seen good use of a nonagon, well done. Is there a catalyst the the stone "timer"? I assume there is a percentage of actions that add a counter beyond the die roll.
Couple questions... 1. In your attacking of the villain example, you had unassigned dice left over after you damaged the Outrider. Does that mean that you could continue rolling and assigning dice after you damaged the villain, or does does recruiting a hero/damaging an enemy immediately end your turn? 2. This one is a bit dependent on question 1. Exactly what is the timing of replacing removed assets on a turn? For instance, when I recruit a hero, do I replace immediately, allowing me to potentially recruit a SECOND hero? If I defeat a villain entirely with an exceptional roll and have many dice left over, do I replace the empty slot immediately, allowing me to potentially damage a the new villain? Or are assets replaced only at the end of a player's turn? Thanks!
Nathan Norton idk if the questions were already answered but 1. With only one die you can't do much anyways but let's say you had 3 to spare after recruiting well what i do is i replace it immediately and i roll again since you still have die and the manual says to keep rolling till you have no more die
Ethan, from what I gather, they decided upon a limit to the number of Battle dice, as well as a limit to the number of the rest dice, in order for the game to be functional and have the desired level of difficulty. If you have both Cap and Hulk, then you can't take more than six dice. You can either use only Hulk's ability or use Cap's ability to take a Tech die.
1. Thor can only take 5 damage? Capt. America, Black Panther and Gamora take six??? More than Thor Really?? (The designer is a Bird Brain) Try doing your homework before you make a game? 2. No Scarlet Witch?? why ?? 3. Okoye is red and that would be Capt America's Team ummm???She should be Blue and on Blank Panther team ???
Just a gamer commenting here to see if I am of any help. 1.) The game used a uniform system for determining health rather than assessed power level. All four team leaders ( Cap, Panther, Gamora, and Strange) have 6 health to give them longevity. Other characters have 5 or lower with the exception of Hulk. 2.) I had heard rumors that certain characters could not be included because potential spoilers for the film; the rumor was that those characters would be released in an expansion at a later date. Not sure if those ever got officially released. 3.) The colors do not denote the team; rather, they denote the character's primary style of play. Okoye is combat oriented (red symbol), whereas most of Black Panther's team is tech oriented (blue symbol). Similarly is why Vision is listed with the green symbol and not red (he's more magical than physical). I hope that helps some.
