You know, when your brake stops working you can always just take your foot off of the accelerator and slowly apply the handbrake... just saying.
logic has no place in the world of movies and videos
you don't even have to use the handbrake. you can just shift gears back and you'll slow down on your motor anyway. You can even break quite hard if you shift gears enough.
If your car or van had no brake, if you shift the gear too low then the 1st or 2nd gear paws would shear right off.
Umm... Honda Odysseys are automatic... no controlled gear shifting.
and switch to neutral if on automatic, or on manual switch to lower gears to break with the engine

Raley hand brakes aren't the normal friction break you have on your car.
If you lose breaks and put the engine in neutral you die, anyone who passed a driving test would know this.
You are supposed to put the engine into a lower gear and effectively use the engine as a break as the gear ratio will provide resistance to your wheels and once your speed is low enough start using the hand break slowly on and off to bleed more speed without burning it out.

The parking break is meant to keep a stopped car from moving. It is not meant to stop a car moving at 30 MPH let alone 100+ MPH. The break caliper would begin to wear down after a few seconds and after a few more, the break would fail, after barely slowing the car down at all.
A hand brake is a backup mechanical brake that doubles as a brake for parking, it's designed to function even when the main brakes fail, it will work, might not be very strong depending on the car tho. Handbrake, parking brake, e-brake, different words for the same thing.

Were i am most e brakes don’t work anymore, they never get used and they rust up. when someone does decide to use it they either don’t work or get stuck on and they cant release it after wards.

Haha good stuff. I find it funny that people are trying to see logic in this video "the aircraft can't fly 100 mph that low" and "why didn't they jump out of the car". She had a baby that looks about 5 month old that was completely clean, then was hanging by the umbilical cord from the sun roof.. which was then caught by a pilot. Maybe tear that down rather than everything accurate about this video.. Keep up the good work :D

Okay, so I googled for 'Speed enforced by aircraft signs' and they really DO exist! LOL ... What the...???
Police frequently contract pilots of helicopters, and small general aviation aircraft like Cessna 172s and such. . They fly over highways, and if a car seems like it's going fast, they check its speed by timing it point to point. Then they call it in to highway patrol, state troopers, or whoever so they can pull the car over and ticket them.
+Philip Roza Speed trapping isn't timing point to point, a speed trap is when police pull people over for profit rather than safety (e.g. I'm going 2 mph over the speed limit and you pull me over for $150 fine, even though you'll only get pulled over for going 5-10 over the speed limit elsewhere in the U.S.).

DFB Noobish you can downshift most automatics. Usually they ether have some form of click shift, or they have a button on the side for overdrive, (1 gear) and then 3rd 2nd and 1st usually or something to that affect.
