It's definitely true that one can tell from this performance that she was a good, trained, adult voice. She's using it here to sound like a child's which is not easy to do, for an adult. I expect that she must also have a number of other songs, recordings, and performances that display the vocal training and talent.
This is Jennifer. Just to generally set the record straight, I wasn't trying to sing like Gayla Peevy or anyone else. Because I am so short I have often portrayed kids on stage. When I sing in my "child" voice this is what it sounds like. So I take it as a compliment that people think I sound like Gayla Peevy, but I wasn't TRYING to sound like her.
This is her husband. This was for a show. It goes along with the "Girls Christmas Dance" video I have on here. I sincerly appreciate the compliments about her voice. For those questioning her age...she is in her twenties. This was the only number during the show where she portrayed a "child". It's called acting, people...If you still find that to be strange, I suggest you check out the show "Do Black Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up?"
If you guys like this, check out her singing "How Great Thou Art" or "Suddenly Seymour". Those show off her vocal range better. Also, "Anything You Can Do I Can do Better" is really good. Of course, I'm her hubby, so I'm a bit biased. She did perform for a professional dinner theater though and has performed alongside Sally Struthers and Sherman Hemsley (The Jeffersons).
They are only questioning her age because she's a really good performer, and it's hard to tell. Very cute!! She totally looks like a little girl all excited about telling her parent what she wants :)

Perhaps reading comprehension is beyond you but you restated exactly what i said. Maybe i should have said it a bit more simpler so even you could understand it. Ive seen this song redone like someone was trying to sing "Over the Rainbow" = epic fail. Jennifers voice does this song justice its great! She sounds like Gayla was my point. I hope you "Get Hooked on Phonics" for xmas.
