It's important to recall that the anticipated political tsunami in 2022 never materialized; instead, Democrats made gains in the Senate and came close to winning the House. As of now, controlling the House requires 218 seats, a number exactly matched by Republicans. However, some MAGA-aligned individuals barely cling to seats once considered secure. If the party fails to distance itself from these embarrassing figures, 2024 could be a humiliating experience despite all the challenges faced. What we truly desire is unity, and this situation is detrimental to the Republicans' image and aspirations.

The House has done what they can pass legislation HR 2 and the investigation to impeachment Sec. Mayorkas. Senator Schumer has stopped these with the support of senators.
