The hero acknowledges his mistakes, and tries to redeem himself, not after beating himself up about it though. And th is is why he's one of my more favorite characters in gaming.
Silverware Warrior he was never hero, guy killed his own father for Christ sake due to being with a gang of degenerates. It wasn’t until after his release of soul edge did he try to atone for what he did.
@Unknowing Reaper Siegfried is what most people would call an antihero as he starts out young and naive, becomes a tool of evil and then finally fights for his redemption. Anti heroes are more realistic, because nobody is perfect. We can all feel more in common with an antihero because he or she makes mistakes like we humans do. He is not without his faults and many people want him dead, but that's what makes his story interesting.
Taki for me. I always tend to go for the fast and flexible type of fighters in fighting games (which most of the time is women). Plus she just REALLY looks 🔥 in that super skin tight outfit 😍
Heishiro Mitsurugi and Siegfried/Nightmare and Cervantes are my top 3 characters. Siegfried at the age of 16, 5ft 6 was carrying the heaviest weapon in soul blade as well as wearing heavy armour suit. Made that shit look easy. TRUE WARRIOR!!
Yep! I remember the narrator describing Mitsurugi as a 'Skilled Swordsman'. Easily the best fighter in the game and even without his weapon he's extremely skilled. His movement, body positioning to launch attacvks and also predict his opponents moves; hsi overall switch from defence to attack is incredible.
@@DEEDUBZ Mitsurugi is a perfectly balanced fighter, this makes him solid mid tier, with essentially no good/bad matchups. Everyone should become good with Mitsurugi before they find their main. It'll mean slower progression in the short term, but its a valuable long term investment.
I started the series at Soulcalibur 2, and I have been a Seigfried main ever since. I grew to appreciate what I could glean of his story, but thank you for this video it connected a lot of pieces for me.

In most matchups, sieg feels faster because of this, however in a Nightmare vs Siegfried scenario, Nightmare beats him to the punch with multiple of his attacks. Nightmare has better acceleration, Siegfried has a higher top speed, if you will.
Really glad you're gonna be covering the Soul Blade/Soul Calibur series! I started with Soul Blade on the PS1 when I was about 5 and Siegfried's ending scared the ever living piss out of me! It still sends me funny thinking about it now; just the music and his screams as Soul Edge consumes him was terrifying to me.

Siegfried is an excellent example of a character who seeks redemption and goes from villian to hero unlike Patroklos! You should do the history of Soul Edge (Inferno) and of Soul Calibur (Elysium) and also Hilde. :D

And finally #5 the main protagonist group while Kilik is indeed the 2nd main protagonist of the series this group will star Siegfried and Hilde.
Soul Calibur VI is a retelling of the story, and it actually has a lot of callbacks to the original plot points and such. Yous should check that out too
I played soul caliber 6. But its feel like more of a filler from soul caliber 1 to 2 instead of a reboot. True the whole story of all the characters. Also, i always respect seigfied story in this game with all the others. Hope soul caliber 7 live up the high.
Some time ago I got a copy Broken Destiny for the PSP and after some time with that game Siegfried became my best character with Nightmare my favorite character. Now that I have Soul Calibur VI I've put so much time in Nightmare I'm afraid I lost my touch with him. It was to the point I'd give my nephews, who are better players than I, a VERY hard time if I played as Siegfried.

Why would you say the plan to find patroklos backfire? He and Pyrrha got rid of Soul Edge, And ended all the madness and suffering it would bring. Sure he had to get rid of Soul Calibur as well to do it. But it would be surely worth it.

Siegfried was always my favorite character in Soul Calibur and his fighting style is surprisingly easy to use despite the size of his enormous sword.
He and Nightmare are both quite quick for such big guys

Soul Calibur 5 was SO bad that Soul Calibur basically got rebooted.
