This WAS the Hulk in the Avengers movies. Just because the actor changed does NOT make it a different character, as it's always been the same Bruce Banner/Hulk- despite the actor change. Just like how the James "Rhodey" Rhodes" played by Terrence Howard in Iron Man 1 is the exact same James "Rhodey" Rhodes that has been played by Don Cheadle since Iron Man 2- the actor change there doesn't mean that it's a different version of the character- because it's not. As such, this is the EXACT same Hulk that is in The Avengers movies.

The fact that abomination strength wise is probably above Thanos, but this hulk even though he never actually fought(he was being defensive throughout the entire movie and just wanted to be left alone and probably only used 10% of his powers at most) still managed to somehow defeat abomination. This movie is my favourite movie out of all the phase 1 films, I still remember watching it in the cinema and really enjoying it. It has everything; suspense (Banner being on the run), romance (Banner and Betty), action (scenes like this one), a good arc for Banner being on the run and setting up his own makeshift lab and training with Rickson Gracie to learn breathing techniques, a pretty good villain and an awesome fight to end the movie! It's so sad that Marvel went in another direction with the Hulk. I'm pretty sure Norton was really passionate about the Hulk, he and Leterrier hit the ball out of the park with this movie. Marvel really needed to put more trust in their directors and actors in the early days, it would've been so good to see this Hulk in the MCU more and IMO there was nothing wrong with this Hulk but Marvel probably deemed it "too scary" for little kids. Watching this scene again makes me realise that seeing a fight between Chris Evans' Captain America and this Hulk would've been EPIC. MARVEL NEED TO BRING THIS HULK BACK!!!!!! This is the honest horror monster that the Hulk is meant to be. The fear he puts into most of the Marvel universe really never got rolling in the MCU. And definitely died after Infinity War.

This has to be one of my favorite Marvel movies. Whenever the Hulk appears, they play these organ keys reminiscent of like original movie monsters like Dracula or Frankenstien’s Monster and I love that little detail.

Why did they change this Incredible Hulk design to comic-relief Hulk?
I firmly believe it's because Disney destroys all it touches and tries to make everything tame

This movie is my favourite movie out of all the phase 1 films, I still remember watching it in the cinema and really enjoying it. It has everything; suspense (Banner being on the run), romance (Banner and Betty), action (scenes like this one), a good arc for Banner being on the run and setting up his own makeshift lab and training with Rickson Gracie to learn breathing techniques, a pretty good villain and an awesome fight to end the movie! It's so sad that Marvel went in another direction with the Hulk. I'm pretty sure Norton was really passionate about the Hulk, he and Leterrier hit the ball out of the park with this movie. Marvel really needed to put more trust in their directors and actors in the early days, it would've been so good to see this Hulk in the MCU more and IMO there was nothing wrong with this Hulk but Marvel probably deemed it "too scary" for little kids. Watching this scene again makes me realise that seeing a fight between Chris Evans' Captain America and this Hulk would've been EPIC. MARVEL NEED TO BRING THIS HULK BACK!!!!!! I cannot believe the Hulk hasn't had his own movie... surely the Hulk can be a pretty deep character with his struggle between being Bruce and the Hulk? They need to bring back Liv Tyler too for Betty.
we got robbed not having this as the MCU hulk. Ruffalo was the better banner, but this was the better hulk. This one would’ve been able to go a couple rounds with Thanos hand to hand
Rights changed. They blamed it on Edward being hard to work with when he studied all the Hulk history to be true in a darker direction, they later took it back. Ruffalo is a joke. Tacos?

Man this hulk was such a savage and beast, I don’t know which one I love more, 2003 or 2008, I grew up with ‘03 hulk and it displayed his powers more comically accurate and it was just so nostalgic to me, but the 2008 shows his raw power and the cinematic universe was just bei bf created so it’s hard to pick one 🗿

This is the honest horror monster that the Hulk is meant to be. The fear he puts into most of the Marvel universe really never got rolling in the MCU. And definitely died after Infinity War.

Since Red Hulk has been confirmed for the next Captain America, I hope they can do some combat similar to Blonsky and Hulk in this scene, with Cap or another super soldier trying to evade an almost certain death from a Hulk.

This has to be one of my favorite Marvel movies. Whenever the Hulk appears, they play these organ keys reminiscent of like original movie monsters like Dracula or Frankenstien’s Monster and I love that little detail.
