YO! Quick UPDATE about this years 2017 MEET UP... we will be meeting at 11AM on Thursday at the tree on the Pyramid stage field. This is an hour earlier than usual due to the record break peace sign which is happening at midday now. HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL THERE :)
Nothing gets me hyped for Glastonbury (even if it’s only February) quite like rewatching a barbster video.
Hope you are going to go to town on the videos this year with it being the 50th.

pretty good video about preparing ur stuff for Glasto! I've never ever once stayed away overnight on a camping tent trip so this video is essential specially if ur going to a music fest!

Very informative. Did Download last year successfully (even though it poured with rain all weekend), but 2017 will be my first year at Glasto. Gonna try the Biketglasto route. Very Helpful.
No preparation needed this year!
No to umbrellas, head lamps and blow-up mattresses. Take a good camping mat--one of the luxurious ones. It was my well thought out splurges.You do need a flashlight perhaps, but get a small LED one, along with a plastic mirror. Fuck all if you don't look good.

Going to be amazing I'm sure am turning up on the Monday afternoon before festival starts luckily my parents live in somerton so staying there Sunday night and sleucing down again after festival Monday night !!! Never camped like this before so invaluable info

Do u think you could maybe post a video about the process of getting tickets? Like the price, how you get them or different types of tickets? :)
You need a dream team. Get a disposable credit card if your mates are shifty. Get peeps from the UK, the US, n the US sticks to order for ya. You won't get tickets. Your UK friend, DCish friend and hella sticks say hi to the pigs parents with killer ass fiber internet will. LG V50 friends. You cannot do this alone. You also have to be passionate about a band or your friends will tire of you and this DREAM. Pay, pay, pay. Cost is no object. Hard refresh, often. Your mates got you.

Double sleeping bag? Just zip two singles together, save on buying a new double one... and will fold small ( vac bags best). Inflate mattress, i not keen and find them not comfy, prefer a roll matt. Inflate take up loads of space, but worse thing such as Glastonbury no matter how hot the days are, its very, very cold at night, so the air in the mattress gets very cold, so best to cover them as bottom of sleep bag not enough. Best thing to take to any festival is a flannel... if hot drop of water on it great for cooling down, great from quick tent wash ( better than wet wipes), if using a shower dry off with flannel first ( dry wring out dry etc), then use your towel that way towel dent get too wet and will dry not become a smell infested wet rag.

I brought no food and no alcohol. Americans would think you've got a serious drinking problem if you need to cart in your booze. Go with the flow. I will agree that the first time can be a bit overwhelming. But you don't want to wind up in your tent when The Rolling Stones come on. *ABSOLUTELY NO FRAME OF REFERENCE HERE AT ALL*

Most people wouldn't bother with a shower, Most use wet wipes or waterless body wash
