In these films they will always be young. This just fortifies my firm belief that the US WW2 generation was the greatest generation to ever have lived in the US. They were selfless and I have talked to many of these war vets of WW2 and many of them said that they figured they would die in the war, but they were willing and able to do it because they felt that it was essential and necessary to right the wrongs at that time. There was only one acceptable end to the war: Victory. The US present Generations living now have no idea of what this generation did for the world, nor do they even comprehend it. it is beyond their understanding.

Yes, it was a sad moment for the German people, as well as many others, but it was they who facilitated Hitler coming to power. It was they who followed him to this destructive end. The Germans of that generation bear responsibility for being in this position to start with. But present day Germans bear no responsibility and while it may be historically "sad" for them. It was an opportunity for a renewal of life and they took advantage of this opportunity. They learned what is important and what is not. This was brought about by total defeat and destruction. That is why Germany is a much greater country today than it was then. And you as an Iranian must realize that the Iranian people still have a lot to learn as witnessed by the present despotic government in Iran.

Some will say that in war anything goes, that's not true, throughout history there has always been rules on the conduct of wars, and the first ones in Greece were called "First Blood" Soldiers all had beautiful armors and shields at home and when they were called, they all went without hesitation. When they got there the two armies charged each other and when one of them bled, it was all over, no one died, the winners and losers had been decided. They then all went home in a hurry, the harvest had to be done or they would all starve to death.
This all changed, you guessed it, when the Spartans came along, killing and dying became honorable and were even glorified... murder was legalized, and wars would never be the same.

If there isn’t any sound don’t add it. The added music is enough to contend with.

The soundtrack is more eerie than most horror movies are. The images, especially when you look at the eyes of the participants, is like a glimpse into hell. Very scary.

    War is always BAD !!!
What a beautiful world if ALL mankind would live United in One Single State and there would be no armies, no wars and no false heroes: just a police force and democracy.

You are a fantasist and ideologist. But Kant said 'every fool can make a war but only a particular kind of person is able to make peace and hold this peace for a long time.

Its ironic because some rich guys from the wallstreet wanted to do exactly that and thats the real reason this war happened, because some brave europeans were not having it.😎

This is brutal; no antibiotics, no med-evacs or whole blood transfusions. A traumatic amputation would have been fatal under these circumstances!
