I like watching him finish his plays. If he can work on his technique and continue to put in that effort he'll fit in well
He needs to get lighter and quicker which shouldn't be too much of a problem. Give him a year in the program and he may be one of the steals of the draft
He has been lighter, averaging 30 pts in hs basketball.
Faster? He had a better combine 40 yd dash than penei did. Sub 5 seconds for being 350 lbs is QUICK. If he lost 5% body fat he wpuld be dangerous.
If he gets his hands on you then you are done. Put him in on the goal line unit.

Man, it's exciting hving a FO and coaches who has confidence to develop player. A 3rd for 4th is kinda expensive. But I'm glad mr Holmes pulled the trigger.

Been following this one all year at UBC in Canada, this is a huge steal, runs a 4.9 at 6’8 352, has manhandled guys who have already played in cfl completion, will be a dog
Once he fine tunes his footwork and hip speed, he’s gonna be a monster
btw, Manu is more Tongan than Canadian as he has live most of his life in Tonga.
He came to Canada at 11 and he is 23, that must be progressive math.

His hand placement is terrible and he attaches and relies on his strength to win. Huge and good movement but he needs to improve balance and hands or he’ll be useless at the next level. Wanted Suamataia over Rakestraw so I still like the pick. Go lions!
First of all, I like the player. He's a giant, with great physique and high potential, but I don't understand why he had to be taken out so early, especially since he was undrafted according to consensus. In spite of this, we sacrificed an additional pick next year for the trade-up. So, I understand the need for an OT but taking him in the 6th or 7th round would have been more realistic, in my opinion. He's like Brodrick Martin last year. I like both picks, but they seem early to me. In any case, I trust in Holmes and the staff. Let's go Lions!!!
Thinking the same. Giving up a 3rd rounder next year? Makes little sense. If this guy ends up being a stud I'll eat my words, but this seems like a reach. Glad we have him, don't get me wrong, but seems like he would have been there in the 5th round or later.

Guys with his size/measurables and his traits are unique and if he has the mental makeup the rest can be taught because he’s is an insane athlete at 6’8 350 lbs running under a 5 sec 40 and having a 33 inch vertical. Thats crazy.
Athletic & physical freak but MAJOR project. Might not even sniff the field until 26-27' season. I can see Taylor Decker getting franchised next yr to buy more time until Manu is ready at RT.

You’ve got some Canadian athletes who can keep up with the guys down south, but yeah overall there really is no comparison. American athletes are just bigger, faster and stronger
