He has had some howlers. But when your team gets hammered 20-25 shots every game, the probability that you start making mistakes goes higher. Surely its not just the keeper, whole team is cr*p.

Onana has shown enough to suggest he can be a great distributer and a shot stopper. We need greater stability as a defensive unit, it’s not all on the keeper. We haven’t had a settled back four all season and our best CB has been out all season. Having said that it has been strange how he hasn’t closed down the space for some of the goals. His positioning has been very odd. Hope he comes good, his mentality looks right.

Ikr, even in the last season for liverpool and the alisson header season, the liverpool def was horrible
We have the same issue , maguire was 5th choice and now 1st choice as others exposed, we basically have no defenders

Onana is the right GK for Man Utd moving forwards. De Gea was great but in the past.
The inconsistency of the team as a whole has meant he’s been left exposed at times.
Yes he’s dropped some howlers in the CL especially but I have faith he’ll come good

What kind of title is this? You have a player in a new environment struggling to adapt and you post this? Unprofessional from Sky, can't show the Ederson foul but open to degrade a player going through hard times. Good on Onana for being brave enough to deal with all this criticism. Hope he comes back from all this, coming from a Liverpool fan.

I'm behind him. He's a good character and I've seen enough from him in the past that makes me sure he'll come good for us. His mistakes have 100% cost us games, the CL campaign, but the same can be said for ten Hag.
The problem isn't fully with him and Onana themselves, it's with the rot around the club and the rot that still remains in the team. Need to be ruthless with these players that have been there for years and that have been an utter joke wearing the badge.
Onana could be benched for a while, I wouldn't mind seeing the other keeper, but I don't hate seeing him in the team each week. The team has zero chemistry and no backbone to them. That needs to be sorted out and has needed to be sorted out for 10 years now. Crucifying a manager in his second season or a goalkeeper having a wobbly first season isn't the answer, but standards still need to be kept.
If him or ten Hag continue to do things wrong, their time will come. But others seem to be immune from that for some unknown reason. Priorities.
