  • LN5: Mariposa Ave., Los Angeles. These charming apartments were built in 1925. I always stop to enjoy them when I'm out on a walk (I'm a "Bonafide Looky-Loo" and a "Wonderful Wonderer"). I wanted to share them with you! Hope you enjoy!

Looks like the place Texacala Jones lived in the 80s 😆, used to have corn growing in the front

Nice! I lived in a courtyard apartment building, larger than this one, for awhile back in the olden days (the '80s). It was in Hollywood, near Gower & Carlton Way, in walking distance of Sunset Gower Studios. It's probably a strip mall now, but it was pretty nice in the day. Wish I could remember exactly where.

This is cool, but it might have been even better with a tour inside an empty unit, except there probably weren't any available.
I've always been fascinated by Bungalow Courts ever since I watched "Swing Shift" with Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell, where Goldie's character, Kay, lived in one. Too cute! They were real in the movie, but some time after the movie, they were torn down!😣

Very cool. I wonder what the rent is on these units. It would be nice to buy the building and make it into 1 home.
