@RuntotheMovies hard to say actually, but don't forget to be sure to check out the Sam Raimi trilogy of Spider-Man starring Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker/Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, as well as the Marc Webb duology starring Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/The Amazing Spider-Man, along with the whole X-Men franchise including Deadpool, and Venom 1 (2018) & 2 (2021). I highly recommend them! 🤞🏻📹📲🛋📺🖥 🎥🎬🎞🖥⌨️🖱📽🍿💺🗽🌇🌃🌆🏙⨂🕷🕸

Loved the reaction. I was a little surprised with the lack confidence in Peter and wanting him to quit. Peter was Spider-Man before he got a "special suit" he is also much stronger than Captain America which is why Tony sought Peters help because he needed him, not the other way round.

Moving the cement rubble is taken directly from a scene in the comics, peter does a feat of strength waaaay beyond him, he have 10 ton strength, so he is about 34 times stronger than captain america, but MCU made cap super strong in the movies, so spiderman is "only" twice as strong as cap in MCU. But that cement rubble scene is an homage to the epic scene in The Amazing Spider-Man #33

Homecoming was a great start to the new Spiderman trilogy! They didn’t do the always done “origin story”. They briefly discussed it in Civil War & kept it moving.

This movie has a few of my favorite little details ...
The Homecoming title obviously both the homecoming dance *and* Marvel getting the film rights back to Spider-Man (sort of... they still have to share with Sony but he's back at the "home" studio).
The voice of Karen the suit lady is Jennifer Connolly, who is married to Paul Bettany, the voice of Jarvis (and The Vision), which is inspired casting.
Liz both her and in the comics has a super-villain relative, but in the comics it's the Molten Man, not the Vulture.
Showing Peter making his web fluid in science class, just like in the comics. Also the science class has a picture of Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner on the wall.
The principal is played by an actor from Captain America: The First Avenger who was one of Cap's Howling Commandos... and in the principal's office there's a black-and-white-photo of that actor AS the character from The First Avenger, basically telling us without telling us they're related.
The students playing Marry F Kill with Avengers and all the other little Avengers references ("Thor's magic belt," the crate of Ultron heads etc).
The "Captain America Fitness Challenge" is straight out of the President's Fitness Challenge us public school kids had to do in the '80s and '90s.
All in all such a great fun movie. I like the "home" Spider-Man movies a lot better than Maguire or Garfield, you can tell the writers/director really have a love of the character, it was not just an assignment.

"if you're nothing without the suit then you don't deserve the suit" was also the subtle message in Iron Man 3 🤔😯

You seemed surprised about Spider-Man so here goes some fun facts. Spider-Man stronger than 10 Captain America and I mean MCU Captain America because he's a lot stronger than he is in the comic book. Spider-Man skin is equal to Kevlar. Spider-Man's reaction normal rational speed is about 117 miles per hour even while being stationary. Which is tied directly to his spider Sense which will warn him of danger. Peter has the incredible jumping abilities. He can stick to any surface from any piece of his body it's only his hands and feet which has the strongest grip. Tony did give Peter an advanced suit but he did not create his web fluid which goes into the web shooters with Tony only upgraded he did not create them either.

No need to underestimate CAPTAIN buddy, spidey is stronger but 10 times really..? In Civil war Cap literally pulled peter with his strength along with his webs to make him fly to the other side. And it's quite possible that in hand to hand fight cap can defeat spidy with his excellent combat skills not every time but he can. We saw peter was struggling a lot with the fight with Goblin in hand to hand.

You are correct, the teacher was the weird friend in freaks and geeks. This movie was co-written and directed by the main kid, John Francis Daily, and they're still friends both personally and professionally.

Yep, Martin Starr played Bill Haverchuck on "Freaks and Geeks". Speaking of "Freaks and Geeks", one of the three writers on this movie is John Francis Daly, who played Sam Weir on "F&G"...Lindsay Weir's little brother (Linda Cardellini).

Tony sending the FBI after alien weapons might he the dumbest thing he has ever done. What are FBI agents with handguns going to do against criminals with advanced alien weapons? At a minimum, Tony should've been there as well. He put those agents' lives in significant danger.

This isn’t Michael Keaton’s first comic book superhero movie. He was also 1989 Batman.
While we only had one fully costumed supervillain, this film featured a few other enemies of Spider-Man. Aside from the two Shockers, Phineas Mason is the Tinkerer and Mac Gargan is the Scorpion.
5:02 Aaron’s nephew is Miles Morales. In the comics, he’s another incarnation of Spider-Man. Miles is also the lead character in the animated Spider-Verse movies. If you haven’t seen them yet, I highly recommend checking them out.

That boat would have sunk in under ten seconds. The credulity they expect us to swallow because of CGI baffles me. It’s like taking a scoop of ice cream and putting every topping on to it, drowning out every aspect of the ice cream’s flavour.

It's a movie about a guy who crawls up walls and swings from webs and that's the part you find hard to believe?

    • @EdmontonRealEstate01
      @EdmontonRealEstate01 6 месяцев назад

@@MiamiJamrockSpicethat is in the story (what Spider-Man is and what he can do) and is explained away with pseudoscience and is developed over the length of the movie. It’s also assumed by most of the movie goers as well since many of them have read the Spider-Man comics, watched cartoons of Spider-Man or have watched other movies of Spider-Man and know the gist of the character and his fake abilities (it’s part of the story). The scene where the boat splits in half and doesn’t sink in 20 seconds goes against the physical laws of buoyancy. I would have loved it if they were not so lazy about making it look plausible. Instead they got lazy where only the dummies watching this movie bought it.
