My wife and I both enjoy your videos. Wonderful to see the old tools, like the carpet sweeper (you said it looks like a swifter -- and it does!). You made me realize today that you never see them anymore. You'd work it by pushing the sweeper against the nap of the rug, which forces the particles to jump up and into the tiny bin inside the carpet sweeper. (I figure, because of your age, you don't know how it works. It's definitely not a vacuum). Also it isn't a piano; it's an organ. When you see those buttons above the keyboard -- called stops -- you will know it's an organ. An organ can imitate other instruments, like this one which had a stop for an oboe. A piano can only sound like a piano. We love your work. Thank you.

Actually, that's not a piano. ..it's an organ! Quite a fixer upper. 😊

Hey Noah - lots of interesting things in this old place - including the decay. The pump organ, the rolling carpet sweeper and the two brush floor polisher were some of the equipment we had on the farm when I was a kid. Thanks so much for taking us along on this explore! The drone footage is a wonderful addition! Thanks my friend - stay safe and I'm already looking forward to the next adventure you take us on.

Back in the day some farmers did not know how to treat their land and it just played out. Many moved to the city hoping to find employment. Looks like the house had a minor update in the '70's. The wall paneling is a dead giveaway. I can tell you why the organ was left behind; It weighs a ton.
    Great find.
    Cheers

Very old, decayed farm house. From the drone footage you can see that it is 3 houses put together. Nothing worth salvaging in here but possibly some old doors, window casings & that gorgeous old, antique piano!!! It was a pump piano so wouldn’t have worked unless you were able to pump the pedals down below. That is worth money!!! This is a total demolition. Thank you for sharing this property with us, I enjoyed it ❤️

That was Not a Floor Polisher, it’s called a Sweeper you use it to Sweep the Carpet either when you have no Vacuum or when there is just a spot here & there to clean.

Looks like the house was in several sections built over time. That’s why I love drone footage. Nice video. ❤️

@@TeamTrumpUSA Hello. I really enjoy abandoned videos. Funny, that tower with the narrow staircase make me think of some of the hidden and tucked away parts of the Biltmore. Perhaps because it was in a more “average” home makes it even more intriguing. People spend their money on what is important to them. So that tower must have had a lot of meaning to the owner.

The tool is a floor polisher/waxer. Man, you could skate down linolium hallways in socks afterwards. lol. The piano was an organ, hence why you could "play sounds" of other instruments. Love how all the grounds around are kept except that little parcel the house sits on. Gotta love the drone!! Thanks Noah

This house was in rough shape but still cool to see stuff left behind. I love seeing old houses that have two sets of stairs, usually one is for servants and other for the owners. Thanks for the tour Noah! 👍❤️😊

Hey Noah, great explore. Some pretty cool objects inside. Often times one farmer sells out and another farmer buys the land. Leaving the home to rot. This may be why the house is decayed but the fields around it are cultivated. Do you ever get out to any explores in the maritimes? My wife was born in North Sidney. It would be nice to see some explores out that way.

Greetings Noah from Vanessa & Tory. It is not a piano, but a pump organ. You pump the 2 pedals at the floor to generate the wind to run the organ. Mouse proof refers to the material the bellows are made of. Thanks for your vids,,,you next cups of koffi are brewing. See you soon :)))

A push pull vacuum picks up dirt ,paper etc.theres a lever you push and a tray opens to dump the contents.I still use mine when I don't want to use big vac.very handy.bet this was nice back in the day.👍👍💗🇺🇸

  • @maryberkes6329
    @maryberkes6329 4 года назад +1

That isn't a piano. It's a pump organ. You sit on a stool or chair and use your feet to pump air with those pedals under the keyboard of the organ. The knobs pulled out would have the organ make different sounds.

Great video as always. With the amount of decay one has to wonder how long it's been abandoned, but it does look like a long time. Even though the house was large, it had small rooms and quite a small kitchen for a farmhouse so I agree with you and others, it looks like it's had a lot of additions over the years. Thanks for the great explore as always 😊

I have another friend who used to carefully dismantle old, unlivable houses, and sell the "old growth" (harvested before, say, 1930, from the REALLY large trees that were there hundreds of years) lumber, crown moldings, mantles, banisters, doors, windows, hardwood flooring, etc. Exhausting, painstaking work, ya can't just bulldoze and burn the place. I helped him one summer, around 1986, and he paid me 5 bucks an hour, lol!

  • @alomax66

That house was probably originally built before indoor plumbing and bathrooms, and folks had an outhouse and a washtub. So the bathroom and shower were added on at a later date, wherever they could find room for it. And all that tacky 1960s wall paneling points to a remodeling at that time.

So where's the new house? Often the old farm house would be abandoned while the new house would be built farther in the property. This looks like that scenario. There are TONS of those in Arkansas.

You kids should wear dust masks, at the very least, when ya go into abandoned spaces. Not for covid, but for dust, mold spores, whatever toxins and allergens that get airborne as you move stuff. I go thru abandoned houses around the Salton Sea in SoCal, and the dust is full of chemicals from fertilizers, pesticides, salts, and other toxic crap from surrounding farms. Arsenic, lead, sulfur, cadmium, anything you can think of.
