Andy. The stache is awesome. Broke out in a sweat when I saw your dad on top of that bin. Praying for your families safety. Be Well. Keep the content coming.
There’s no other way to set those augers than to climb up there. It isn’t the safest, but it is a necessarily evil. Thanks for appreciating the stache!!
I would like to see a video of you telling Katie to carry a camera . The way your wife looked at you she's definitely still head over heels for you . Your a lucky Guy .
I am sorry to hear about that. There was a lot going on around that scene. The volunteer firefighters were driving like the entire county depended on it. I was happy to see that you guys found another combine or farmer to help harvest your crop!
Hey Andy 👋🤠, loving the vid as usual, and YES I hope you get the 100k subs, Hi Katie 👋😊, as always hope the entire family is doing well and thank you for taking us on all the adventures.
There is something satisfying about watching the corn being eaten up by the combine. Just the shear volume of material being consumed. Even as a kid I would ride the old Massey with my uncle .Probably explains my poor hearing now. Used to have nightmares about about trying to keep trucks empty to stay ahead of two combines. Other than extreme cost any reason why you guys never bit the bullet and put up an elevator and some big bins? Good luck with harvest.
Trippy, envy you as I wish I had grown up on a farm. Corn looks really good. Marty is a wild man, climbing the bins and running around like he does!! Gotta get the money in the bank. Keep it between the rows. 🚜🌽🌽
hope corn harvest goes well for u all i know u have been busy so i cleaned up the leaves for u at your home just to say thanks for all you farmers do for this awesome USA
Hey Andy, really enjoy your channel and can appreciate all the time you put into it. Between the few hour of any free time with work and family you do a great job. The content and editing always is funny enjoyable trip lol. No pun intended lol. Hope to see Katie with a camera soon, would be great. Sure she can’t wait to help out her brother 😂🤣 Huge and loyal fan, never comment on any channels I follow but wanted to let you know you efforts are really appreciated. Bob in Pennsylvania
That means a lot to me, Bob. Thanks for your support! The channel does take a lot of time beyond just my normal day job, but viewers like you make it worth the extra effort! I hope to integrate some more faces in the content to help keep it entertaining as we move forward… we will see how that goes!
Nope. We have farmed around them all for so long that we know where they are. Of course, we also pay attention as we go through the fields! All of our inlets are the orange/yellow ones that are 2-3’ tall, so they are hard to miss.
When you get a bit of time to review the harvest data, could you please do a few episodes on the processing of your data and how y'all interpret that data to determine what worked, what didn't work as hoped, and how y'all will justify adjustments/ tests for the coming year?
Hey, great first day of corn harvest, and an awesome video - had a few good laughs. 😂 I worked on my uncles farm every years until I almost finished University. Now, working as an engineer, I really miss the feeling of doing something REALLY productive and useful.
So I’m not trying to tell y’all how to run your operation by all means. Everyone has reasons for everything but just going to put my opinion out. To me it seems like y’all would be more efficient with a 12 row on your 780 since your trucks can’t really keep up or what’s yalls opinion on that. I know a 12 row head is expensive but it would have to be cheaper than 2 8s and the cost of running 2 combines
I think you are right. We will make the switch sometime. It’s just painful to trade up for a folding twelve row… they’re expensive! Appreciate the comment!
You guys should really look into a drago if u want to stay 8 row. It will headshell less and allows u to run it slower with longer stalk rolls. And it's amazing in down corn. Self adjusting deck plates
Anything can make sense if you are a believer in it. Grain storage in general is a good investment. Adding a leg and a drier is another worthwhile venture if that is a direction that you’d like to take your farming operation. It’s more of a capital allocation decision and less of an efficacy thing. I think we will add something within the next 5-10 years to the main bin site. I’d like to put up a few more bins in the meantime.

It depends on what level of action that you enjoy. The soybeans can be a little slow for the cart guy, but corn is like a sprint!

Most of the time, corn has a slight advantage in profit.
