Thoughts on them going after Paulson Adebo? Likely going to be a more expensive option but I seem to remember Lynch commenting after that draft that they really liked him. Could be cheaper coming off injury
I get the Purdy skepticism, but there really aren't any alternatives that would offer a tangible upgrade right now or for the next few years. If they liked Darnold for the role they would have kept him. The next few college classes look weak, and it's not like Josh Allen and Mahomes are going to be available. Even if Purdy gets a large contract, the 49ers have the most carry over cap going into 2025 in the NFL (50 million), and his cap hit likely won't be more than 30 million until year 4 of a 5-year deal if its structured similarly to the Love and Hurts contracts. That would put him in the bottom half of the league in terms of cap hit for that period. So the notion that they wouldn't be able to field a good team around him if they extend him is ridiculous.
Also resign Greenlaw and let Hufanga go. Hufanga had a 23% missed tackle rate and 95% reception rate on targets. 65% of yards allowed were after the catch for Hufanga. Can't stay on the field, can't tackle.
(1) even w/ the $50m carryover, OTC has their 2025 cap at $46.5m prior to FA/Draft. They can push Kittle/Warner's $ into the future via ext., but age-wise not smart. (2) Bosa's cap hits for '26-28 are $42m, $52m, $43m. Trent '26 is $39m & Aiyuk '27-28 are $42m, $44m. Eagles highest non-QB cap hits for '26-'28 are $23m, $27m, $27m. Next highest is $22m, $22m, $23m. So the 9ers top 2 non-QB players cap-wise for '26-28 are making double the Eagles top 2.
Sign Greenlaw to a 3 year deal that incentivizes playing time. The more he plays, the more he gets paid. This could protect the organization if he is truly not healthy.
Should’ve never cut Womack and just okayed him the way he played in college and they’d be good at corner. So maybe there’s a little bit of player mismanagement there.
How can u say that Brock had a better team around him this past year, than he will next yr? Even if they pay him, we still have Jordon mason, Guero, Juan, kittle, Pearson and Brandon who was out the entire season and we missed? And there is no way the 9ers let go greenlaw!
It's not about just 2025. Very soon Purdy is expected to lead an offense without Trent, CMC, Deebo, maybe Kittle. And there are questions how good some of those guys will be in 2025 due to age/injury. Certainly shouldn't expect the 2023 versions going forward.
LFGGGG glad your back peacock. Sorry for your loss.
This is correct Crock..Huf is a playmaker but limited.. We need a playmaker at Safety thats a playmaker with range true center field range .....
Niners D is flat without him and Dre
@@toddwilliams4033 Not flat. Just not as aggressive. But I would give more credit to Dre than to Huff for that
I’m looking at Bringing back DJ Reed in Free Agency, especially if we get Saleh or Ulbrich as DC
Wasn't Robinson on IR all year? I mean call me crazy but you gotta play to be a reason they are "good" or "bad"...

I feel like not being in playoffs will help the players and staff alot. Give them a chance to actually spend time with family, relax, and heal up

Nick Zakelj can play Left Guard or Center. Let Banks walk and convert him into a comp pick.
Did Curtis ever get to play this season I thought he tore something in preseason
Jahdae barron is that guy he can play Saftey or corner
Stop running it back. I feel like this team has been in “run it back” mode for 6 years and that hasn’t put them at the top of the mountain.
Huff will probably be able to come back on a cheapish deal, I wouldn't be surprised if Ward left because of trauma
Why resign
Greenlaw to the Texans 😢 but continues to outplay his contract next to AlShire
Those 2 would be racking up more personal fouls than a hockey team lol😂

Niners dont re up O Line unless you are #71
77 is our future
Dre Greenlaw need to stay
Man, I love Wink but we HAVE TO STOP this run it back idea. Please!
Just loss me on that one Crock.. Dude sucks..... Average back up is what he needs to be on this team
I kinda feel like Greenlaw might go to the Texans lol
