- Hiking trail angels landing angel's -- The pretending parts to fall was to let viewers know that you can fall off!!
** 3-5 hrs round trip with 45 min enjoying the views @ the top, it depends on how fit you are and I stop and took pictures and videos. It is roughly 5 miles RT with almost 1500ft elevation gain.
** Sony DSC-HX9V older camera
This is not the Scariest Hike in the World..
Thank you for the footage of a place I know I am too clumsy too ever hike!! What a beautiful America we MUST protect!
Nope nope nope... I got dizzy just watching your video... Stunning hike, but wow...
Spectacular video!!!! Thanks for sharing it. I live three miles away from Zion, and hiked Angel's Landing for the first time in Sept 2016. I'm 63 years old, over weight and out of shape with bad knees, and the hike nearly killed me, lol. But since then I've had my knees replaced, and am hoping to hike it again in the spring without so much knee pain. You guys made it look relatively easy. It took me 6.5 hours up and back, so I'm hoping to get in better shape and cut that time in half. Thanks again for the awesome video. The best one I've seen so far.
Thasnks for a great Vedio I'm disabled and could never go to where you went. Thanks that was enjoyable God bless
I,m disabled too. I cannot walk anymore, and I did in The Alpes in Switserland and in Tsechië.
Fantastic video , almost had a heart attack just watching this... you are very brave souls.
Thank you for allowing us to take that journey with you. I'd rather experience it through your eyes than go up there myself, but it looks amazing.
Excellent Video of the Angel's Landing Trail. By Far, The Best I've Seen Posted. Hiked that 4 days ago . . and you captured the essence of the experience. TNX for posting !
Paul Lanyi Thanks for watching and congrats on your hike. Share beautiful places with others
How wonderful to relive this hike. Your video if fabulous. Thanks.
Amazing video. Thanks. It's not something I can do because of a disability but you've given me the next best thing. I had vertigo watching this! Still, I'd like to sit atop that mountain and watch the world for a while.
Awesome Video!!! Thanks for sharing. This place is definitely going on my bucket list of places to visit this year.
Fantastic video! Thank you very much for posting this. It provides great inspiration!!
It is so gorgeous at the top of Angel's Landing! I can't wait to go back in June!
Great video! I did this hike last week. I'm glad I waited until after I got home to watch the video!
I hiked this trail to the peak of Angel's Landing yesterday, Sunday. The hike was awesome, scary as hell, exhilarating, exciting, exhausting, and oh so empowering by the time I finished! One of the scariest things I've ever done (I know, you say it isn't the scariest hike on Earth!) -- and I am still in awe and excited for having completed this hike! The trail was well populated Sunday, with many chains covered with hands, generous traffic in both directions, and traffic jams while at some points a line going up waited while a line went down in the same location. Still photographs don't do this trail justice. I wished I had a Go Pro to photograph or video the trail. Thank you for making this wonderful video!
You are welcome
Very well down, with a lot of enthusiasm. Loved the music.
Good job on the video! You brought me into the adventure with you and I hope I get the opportunity to take this hike myself someday soon. Thank you for sharing!
Super video! Hiked this in the spring with some friends. Little did we know it made the top 10 list in Men's Journal as one of the most dangerous hikes in the U.S. It was awesome but I'm not afraid of heights. I would definitely do it again.
ALL I'M GOING TO SAY IS AWESOME ! GOD BLESS! BE SAFE! HAVE FUN!
Most awesome video. Thank you for sharing.
12:10 is my favourite view amongst all the great views. The formation is electrifying, the fact that they surrounded the centre structure.
I am thankful I ran across this video. We are going to Zion in a month and I now know that this trail is not for me. Terrifying. I'm glad you posted it. Thank you!!!
great video! I did this trail today! Your video was the decision to do it!
It was a amazing tour with beautiful views! We started at 7:00 am from "the Grotto".
Thanks for making and showing this video!
Andreas
You are welcome, 👍👍😀
Beautiful video! I live 30 minutes away from Zion in Hurricane, Ut. I've hiked A.L. many, many times. This is the best video I've seen showing what A.L. is really like- the challenge to climb, the beauty, the crowds(sorry). Yet the people are always nice.
I hiked Angels on my 62nd birthday last year. What a great time. The next day I did the Narrows. I want to go back and do both again. Nice video. Thanks!
Phil B I am planning on hiking it on my 62 birthday at the end of July. Hope the heat isn't unbelievable.
Tim Horton It will be hot, just start early. The refrigerator part will cool you down.
Tim Horton It was hot when I was there. As Pat said, just start early, take plenty of water, and rest along the way. The Narrows is cooler being in the shade of the canyon and in the water.
Great video. I did that hike back in 1997 and I'm still not sure how I did it. I had to proceed very slowly but once I started out I knew if I kept it one foot in front of the other I could make it. I actually found it less intimidating on the way down.
Just hiked this last week, Pat, thank you for this amazing video to help me re-live the parts that I may have been too focused to really take in. The view from up top is truly gorgeous, but the accomplishment of doing this hike is even more worth it. I have to say that the other hikers there are also very friendly and everyone works together to make sure everyone is safe when passing oncoming hikers. If you go, make sure you do the same!
I am glad you had a wonderful time. Most hikers are very nice.
Great video! I did this hike two weeks ago with my dad. It is one of the most amazing things I have ever seen. Definitely not for the faint of heart. I am not afraid of heights but there were 2 or 3 parts that even made me nervous. You were there on a busy day. I have been up there on days where you only pass 10 people the whole day.
It is amazing how haphazardly and carelessly you all treated this dangerous trek at times.
Thank you very much for taking us up Angels Landing.I would love to feel it underneath my feet someday soon..Bucket list.
your videos are awesome...this one in particular is amazing...thank you for taking the time to make it and sharing it ...
Thanks for watching
thx for the video mr. zulu ;) my belly crumbled sometimes, wow.
Holy shoot! Holy cow! Holy horse!...
Thanks for sharing. I have a falling feeling in my legs and dizzy sensation in my head by watching this video. It looks extremely dangerous and strenuous. Your wife is a pro. She is so nimble and daring, and sure-footed too. She climbs fast and doesn't look panting for air at all. Admire you folks.
Definitely had to conquer your fear of heights going up here! Very brave!
Awesome video man! Thanks for sharing!
Great vid. I love this part of the country!
Beautiful!! I had problems on the Taos, NM bridge LOL ... I do not think I could do a hike like this.
Great Video
Excellent video! Glad you bothered to video it so we can share in the excitement. Well done!
Thank you.
This is one of the world's finest easy day-hikes. Did it when we visited Utah in 1994 (amazing place - you could spend a lifetime hiking and biking cool stuff). But oh the crowds in this video!
I did this hike 2012. This is a great video. I shall return. I only travel outside Memorial / Labor day. Amen
Awesome, hard enough to hike it but to film it while doing it, Kudos
Kudos to everyone who did and will do this hike. As for me personally, I’m TERRIFIED of heights, but a part of me says, the more I should do it to overcome my fear. I’m just afraid that I might panic, and “freeze up” midway and hold up traffic for everyone else. My palms and feet are sweating just watching this video. And I know videos don’t do this justice on just how terrifying this can really be in person.
My palms were sweating and legs were going weak just from watching it too. I'm pretty terrified of heights in some contexts, although for some reason I have no problems with airplanes or roller coasters. I honestly wouldn't risk it though. I climbed a few 14000 footers in Colorado, one of them went right along a knifes edge in extremely strong winds and I had a panic attack on top of it. It actually becomes much more dangerous the greater your fear of heights. If you start to panic and your legs start to shake your chance of falling go up exponentially.
Everytime you hung your leg off the sides I literally yelled at my computer omg that gave me so much anxiety 😂😂 Such an amazing view
2017 july I will be there, thanks for the great video!!
I recently completed this hike. You did a great job of representing it! Thanks for posting.
Thank you for this video. This is one of my favorite hikes even though I have had to turn back due to a fear of heights on the last ascent. I now enjoy just going to the resting spot before the chains. This is a hike to do early as the initial ascent is in full sun.
Awesome. Great video. I want to do this one day.
Great video thanks for sharing.
Thanks for posting this video, I really enjoyed it !!!
thanks for sharing, I'm in Northern Utah, like the hikes here but I get vertigo on the steep ones, EZ for some, good job to you & those who have the equilibrium to make this hike, wish I did cause I love hiking in Utah
Thank you for sharing this
oooo its so tough..dangerous
but its nice to watch
scary litle bit
Anyways great video..thumbs up to you
I did this hike in May, absolutely beautiful! The inclines on this hike were intense and it amazes me how they were able to pave the whole path as steep as it was
THANK-YOU SO MUCH for this! I have always looked for a video that would show people how scary this hike was. Perfect. :)
You're welcome!! I wanted to show the trail conditions. It is scary if you are afraid of heights, but If you are not then you can do it!!!
Actually I did it a few years ago, at the age of 45, and I have to say you were such a badass the way you (and your friends!) climbed up so quickly and so tough! I was scared to death, but my son and I laughed a lot. We kept saying what you said, at the beginning of your video, "Crazy people!"
It was so fun, and I'm glad to be able to finally show people what the hike was like :)
Forget Gatorade a nice cold beer at the top would be good for me.
Terrific video! A bit scary to the top, but most incredibly beautiful and not to be missed if you're looking to have all your senses filled up...really really filled up. We regret not having a GoPro though.
I used a good point and shoot camera from Costco, so that way I can zoom in and it's cheaper than a goPro.
Pat Kithiraj Thanks for responding with the tip, Pat. Unlike you brave ones (!), we weren't quite so brave. Guess we needed to use both hands every minute of the way. ;-)
I have too many anxieties for that place. Thanks for posting.
George Sealy I hiked this before and the video is making me nervous
Great video, my knees were shaking.
+Charles Flowers -------Can you tell me ----how long the hike to Angels Landing ?----how many hours need to do up und down.... sorry my english is not so perfect......Gr. Sara
+Sára Iván 5 hours return
+Peter Lee Thank you very much !
+Charles Flowers Re: watching, 'knees shaking' . . We Do Understand ! Just keep your eyes focused ahead climbing that last stretch.
wow . simply just amazing spot with amazing camera + music... you did a great video mate
Nice Video! Thanks! Have long wanted to do this hike...don't think I have the nerve though. Nice job!
What a great video. We made the climb about a month ago and it took just about every thing I had but we made it. Your video is excellent. It really reminds me how scary some spots were
All those masses of people kind of take away from the awesomeness of the hike. But it is what it is.
Tom Marten go early in the morning, it is far less crowded ...and early isn't 8am :-)
Nice video! I didn't do Angel's Landing because I didn't have the proper hiking gear (I hiked in AllStars which I will never do again). Thankfully you have chains to hold onto for going up and down, but whoo it looks steep! I would have been a bit scared. I did 4 other hikes in Zion and maybe I'll come back to do Angels when I'm ready.
Buen video, gracias por compartir!..👍
Must be very exciting! :) This is a good workout
Thank you so much for this awesome video sans the fake falling! Hiking there next week!
+Gary Braden You're welcome. Have a fun and safe trip.
Nice shot @ 1:10
I wanted to go back there and hike this trail.
Great job on your vlog.
Great Video!!
Awesome!👍👏
Great video.
Wow this one is very similar to my Vid! Must have been a great time too. Thank you for sharing!
i love going there, this bring back memories. 1 of which is although i have never rock climbed, the people i have seen as little dots on the enormous sheer face of angles landing have inspired me 2 put that on my bucket list.
Wow! I almost had a heart attack, JUST WATCHING this video! Hard to believe they have a hike like this available to the general public, at a national park. I am sure you have to sign a release form, before beginning. :)
+Jim Blase It's not that bad if you're not afraid of heights and you have to love nature!!
amazing video! I did this hike last summer and put a video on my channel as well. Strapped a GoPro to my head because there was no way my hands were letting go of the chains haha
Wow. Great courage.
Thank you! Great job!
With my fear of heights I for sure got a butterfly in my stomach...Amazing video and a view though...
awesome view!
Good view of Angels landing...
My husband almost made me do this trail. Watching your video almost gave me a heart attack! So thankful we didn't do this. I'm sure it was amazing, at least if you aren't afraid of heights.
Well, I hope to do it, three years from now. Pushing 60, but what the hey. I'm not afraid of heights because each step I take is a careful one. You are right once in a while we all make a wrong move. Don't have a beer till you are back down on terra firma!
WEAK
I've been to the the park before but I never went to Angels Landing. I plan on hiking it in the next few years
I'm doing this July of 2016. I'm excited. can't wait!!!
Bellissimi, stupendi panorami...
Amazing view.
How a lot of people. Not for your rest.... ;-) But it,s all beautiful !
Very, very impressive! ... but beautiful hike. Very nice, thanks for sharing.
"Easy Love" by Aalborg Fantasy Soundtracks (AmazonMP3 • iTunes • eMusic)
Been hiking for years, mostly Yosemite and sooner or later, we will all develop knee injuries. Noticed a lot of fit people on this trail and not many kids as one 13 years old girl fell to her death here two weeks ago. Great views and a good workout.
that incredible path, yet no railings!
+Adam B'stard there is only one thing greater than this place we call earth... and that place is the place behind it!
OMG that had to be so much work. But it look awesome.
It was an awesome experience.
Love you video #1
@5:54 ..... numerous people fall to their death doing that stunt shit......
Great video but, no place to clown around.
What an amazing NP
Nice photography!
Wow this video is stunning! Makes me want to do this. What is the music in the background?
wowowowowwow!! :)
great video. I actually got a slight sensation of anxiety and fear that I always get on dicey parts of hiking trails - so you did a fantastic job of capturing the experience!
as an aside, I'm always absolutely amazed at how many people (including children and older folks) just casually and brisky assault the trails with no indication of caution or difficulty. Needless to say, when I see something like two 13ish year old girls skipping down the icey Bright Angel Trail in Grand Canyon a few winters back, right past me and my companions (four men around 30 years old) ... well, I'm left wondering if I need to turn in my man card, or if some of these people DO end up in the surprisingly high number of park casualties each year. I'd say I'm getting old, but we got burned on the same trail by at least two couples in their '70s.
Thank you for watching. It is pretty safe if you're not afraid of heights.
Great video. Having done this hike, I think you captured it very well. Well done.
Thank you. I just wanted to share the trail to anyone to see.
At 7.42 I started watching from corner of my left eye !!!!
