Great document to get to know Plamen. A few years ago when we did go to Kitee, to the old Nightwish museum, it wasn't open so I contacted Plamen and he came and open the door for us so we could see it. What a great guy he was. Has been to Kitee every summer since, it has been a nice summer trip for us. Lovely history document, thank you.

Thanks for the English subtitles too. Much appreciated.

Amazing interview, so nostalgic, so interesting with beautiful music 🎶.
My dream is to visit Kiitee one day, the place who begun their history some friends and a creative teacher.
I love NW,i was excited to listen some stories from their recordings from albums that i love 💕.
I have learned that Tuomas Holopainen had read the lord of the rings at the age of six, he is an interesting and intelligent man, great lyricist, great composer and a simple man.
    Kiitos !!!!

This documentary is just great!!! I had a smile on my face the whole time while watching it. :-) I could have listened to Plamen Dimov and Tuomas talk about music life in Kitee for a lot longer. Would have loved to have a music teacher like him. 🙂 One day I would love to come visit Kitee, see the Nighwish exhibition and maybe attend the fan meeting there.
And thanks a lot for the subtitles because although I started learning Finnish last year after discovering the music of Nightwish (sadly I didn't discover them earlier) and understood bits and pieces of the interviews without them I still needed them to full understand what Plamen Dimov, Tuomas and the others were saying. 🙂
And I hope it's okay to express my condolences on the passing of Tuomas' father here. I didn't know until I saw the "in memoriam" in the credits. I'm so very sorry to hear about his passing. I remember Tuomas talking very fondly about his parents and his childhood in several interviews. Rest in Peace Herra Holopainen.

So many memories, so many familiar people etc...
I was living in Kitee and about 18 y.o. when Plamen moved there. At the time I was also a band member. We heard that our music teacher Leena had married to a Bulgarian musician who had moved to the town. Quite soon we got in contact with him and noticed that he's a really really good guy. He became the godfather of the music life of Kitee and I can say that it was like a lottery win to get him. He has done so much and I'm quite sure that Nightwish wouldn't ever become what it became, if Plamen didn't exist. A brilliant man! I moved away from Kitee almost 30 years ago but I remember Plamen so warmly that I can't even describe it.

I have already watched the documentary twice... and certainly not for the last time! It is far too short 😁! I (18 years old) have been a Nightwish fan for just over a year, but I have loved Tuoma's solo album "The life and times of Scrooge" since I was 10. My parents, especially my mother, also like Nightwish, I've known the band practically since I was born. But when I was younger, the music was sometimes too hard for me, at first I only liked the ballads, but now I'm also enthusiastic about the really heavy songs - and I'm looking forward to the new album (Human. :||: Nature. is already a masterpiece🤩!!!). It's very interesting to see what a big, important influence Plamen had on Nightwish. Without him, the band would practically not exist at all! Many thanks to you, too, if you happen to read the comments...😉 I hope to come to Kitee either this year or next year to visit the exhibition and explore the wonderful nature. I could write another whole novel here.... To keep it "short", I just want to say that Nightwish has inspired and positively influenced me in so many ways. The music (and also that of "Auri") opens up a whole universe of its own. It invites you to dream, but also to think deeply about the very big issues. As Plamen said in the documentary, Tuomas is truly a visionary. Many thanks to everyone who brings Nightwish to life (the band and everyone involved in the background)🥰❤❤❤!

Thank you so much for the lovely reply ❤❤! I would also like to thank you for setting up such great projects with us fans. I haven't been on one of the fan meetings yet, but just from what I've heard and seen... For example the scene in the video in the church. People from different backgrounds and religions standing next to each other in a normal way and enjoying wonderful music together. That is true magic!
