IMHO these days in music circles 14-year olds are already too old to be evaluated as a "prodigy". But Ray Chen is still wrong, Leia Zhu was/is definitely a prodigy. It is interesting that Ray doesn't consider himself to have been a prodigy. He mentioned in interviews that he considered his own development to be just normal (not special) and many other children are just like he was when he was a kid.
I am convinced this young lady has it within her to become the greatest of all the great violinists.A big statement yes,but she is something very,very,very special.

We are now seeing the fruits of Leia Zhu's outstanding infant precocity. Her command of the instrument already surpasses that of her front-rank predecessors and most if not all of her contemporaries. A gift beyond measure, cultured by hard work and dedication, and inspirational on so many levels.
