This was very soothing to watch and kind of like ASMR in a way! And I never knew I could clip the stems for propagation too! Always thought it was just the pedals. Thanks!!
This message is from a "liker" and subscriber from Lake Charles, LA. I'm so glad found your channel! I too am a succulent grower and your videos give me good info as well as confidence. I was given one of these by a housekeeper where I live who got it from her mother. It is very "leggy", overgrown and has been obviously neglected aside from watering for a long time. I took on the project of rehabbing and cleaning it up. I'll start by removing some of the limbs and potting them up to grow on their own. I will then start from scratch to propagate some of the individual petals to grow little embryonic babies. I will give these away individually as gifts, once i feel that they're far enough along in their growth they can handle some neglect and overwatering. Thanks for your most informative videos.
When I was propagating it here it was under lights. During summer outside and during winter inside. About half a year inside under lights. It is fast grower and aged stems can be formed in two years.
Genial tu video,Como es la naturaleza de misteriosa ,me encanto las plantitas bebés gracias por compartir tus conocimientos,un saludo guapa feliz noche.✨✨✨✨✨
Hi Marija! Wow - that plant just keeps on giving :) The ones you sent are doing well. They rooted and they are under lights. Not much growth yet but that is fine by me. I'll make a video update once they put on some more growth.
Yes, I do! I will be selling quite a bit in the next weeks… you can join my Facebook group Succulent living by marija and I will be listing it on few other groups like succulent marketplace USA
Well, it depends on your home and amount of light in windows. I use it less since I moved 4 years ago because I have a lot of windows. For grapto varieties and echeverias you need windows facing east or south to get a lot of light. I can send you lights that I used to use for free, but you would have to pay shipping (I am trying to decrease plants and plant stuff in the next months). They still work well.
Hi, should I wait till callous before planting in the pot? I have no success with propagation , roots often dry up. If I plant immediately, I should wait for 5 days before I water it?
Hi Marija, your baby plants look so beautiful. Well I too got these from somewhere so can you tell me if I should keep them under full sun or how much sunlight is required and in one leaf i saw the rooting so I am quite worried as this time I don't want to lose them and I live in extreme summer conditions part of India. Second how much water should should be provided according to my area? Many thanks and much appreciated for the wonderful video 🙂🙂
Ghost plant rests during the summer, which means when it’s very hot and sunny don’t water it as much. It loves a lot of light and likes to be watered less. You will see that it is thirsty when the leaves are wrinkled. Hope this helps! 😊 greetings from Michigan
Hi Marija, so many babies 😍. Can you please do a video on the soil mix you are using. I'm having a big problem with the gnats 😒😒😒 infestation I changed the soil i was using to espoma and the gnats are driving me crazy. Please help 🙏 thanks
I love ur ghost plants! I saw the vid when u got that huge one. Mine suddenly just started dropping its leaves 😩😩😩 I don't know why. The leaves just fell off or the fall off at the slightest movement! I don't understand! EDIT: I'm sorry lol. I love ur vids! I bet that ghost plant u just propagated in this vid is from that big one??
Hi Marija, I have a pot of smaller Ghost plants that have stretched. I decided to cut these down too but I put these in the same pot with the stalks & another plant in same pot, an aloe. Is it better to have the pieces for propagation in their own pot??
Hello my lady Know you about myself, I am from Jordan And my name is Ramez Excuse me, I am not good at English I am very interested for your wonderful channel. I wish you all the best I also like these plants Unfortunately, there is no such thing in my country Jordan I want you to help me by sending some of it to Jordan I want to buy it, can you or not, thank you
I just saw your message… so sorry for not responding earlier… thank you for watching my channel and glad you enjoy it! Unfortunately I can’t ship plants outside of USA 😕

Thank you so much for encouraging words as my channel is small so it means a lot! Greetings from Michigan 😊❤️
What do you do with the cut off stems? Can they also provide more babies?
Yes, they do! They have! I have many that produced. This is the most prolific succulent.
Was that plant indoors under some light? Or was it outside ? Cause it looks very big!!
When I was propagating it here it was under lights. During summer outside and during winter inside. About half a year inside under lights. It is fast grower and aged stems can be formed in two years.
Such a beast of a plant. Love it. 💜

I grow this beautiful succulent outside in zone 7b. It survives freezes and snow. 👏😍❤️
This is so pleasing to my ocd, I love doing this
Always enjoy your videos and find them very informative 👍😀
Yay a new video, thanks for the information, I love ghost plants! Can you do anything with the stalks, will they grow new rosettes, do you plant them?
Yes, they can but I have limited space. 😊
Always look forward to your videos
Thank you! 😊😊
Nice information ji

They are winter growers so I am sure they will root and grow soon 😊
Were they originally from the southern hemisphere?
@@sylviavaananen1617 no, bought here locally
Do you sell any plants? I live in NE OH. When I saw you're located in Michigan, I decided to follow you. I'm a new collector of the Echiveria.

Is it necessary to use the grow lights for the plants to prosper?

Thanks! About how old is the large mother ghost plant please?
Not sure, over a decade
How do u make u potting mix.?
Hi, should I wait till callous before planting in the pot? I have no success with propagation , roots often dry up. If I plant immediately, I should wait for 5 days before I water it?
I place them in soil right away and I use rooting hormone. You had can add one tablespoon of water once a week to stimulate root growth.
@@succulentlivingbymarija8872 Thank you!

I think espoma changed soil mix a bit since pandemic started and I don’t like it 😄
Is my first time using it, and I'm very frustrated 😞. My husband told me his going to throw out. Y plants because of the gnats 😔😔
@@Lainez3078 don’t throw it away! Gnats are not really hard to deal with. Typically if you dry the soil over the period of few weeks they disappear.
@@succulentlivingbymarija8872 thanks for that advice! I have just started to see a few of the gnats, although not in ones planted in espoma!
Great video thanks.

Yes, it is! I took 40 cuttings from it in the last year so it’s much smaller. They can drop leaves when they are watered well
How does it become so branchy/bushy? 😍 Is it 10 years old or more?
I assume you are talking about the ghost plant. It is over 6 years old.
@@succulentlivingbymarija8872 😅 Yes, I meant the ghost plant. That's wild it's only 6 years old. It's a beast! 😍
Hi, Dear how much temperature goes in summer season in U r city? Pl comment
80s to 90s Fahrenheit

I think it will be fine either way. Sometimes they root faster when with other plants as the plants share nutrients 😊
@@succulentlivingbymarija8872 good to know, thanks!
its such a huge ball of graptopetalum paraguayense so pretty
Thank you! 😊
I actually have one of these left. A piece broke before giving it away, and not its grown...

👏👏👍😍😍😍
Just wonder why you don’t repot the mother plant…it’s kind of a stemmy mess.😟
It was so root bound that it was not possible.
