- This is Nina (Canzonetta) by Pergolesi (1710-1736). This is the first selection I learned after getting back to the cello after 43 years! It is interesting that one tightens up even when doing a casual recording like this. Lots of room for improvement. :-) I plan to do just that.
very well done. Also, great beard. I'm excited for the day my beard gets as pearly as yours
behindtheline40 lol
such soulful playing. Thank you for sharing with us
Really nicely done! I'm an older adult student as well, and have been playing for about two years. I've been working on Nina as well, great piece for learning postition and vibrato. Thank you, you are an inspiration.
Great that you are learning the cello. I think it is good for the brain and the body. Stay relaxed. I'm still learning. 🙂
This is really good! I'm playing this for my cello grade 4 exam, listening to you play has really helped me :)
Working on this piece after getting back to my cello after 20 years. You are an inspiration, thank you! Some really nice nuances, which I hope to add to my wonky rendition.
My cello group of students loved this. Thanks so much for this recourse!
This was the only recording that I actually liked because I could feel that you were into the music no matter what. Great job!

Great cello playing. How can anyone stop playing for 43 year? Must be physical disaster.

Rusalka 78 It would be so helpful to me for you to expand a little on what you mean. I am still learning and would appreciate your advice, recommendations or tips for a better performance. As I said, this was my first attempt after being away from playing cello for over 40 years.
