I cant figure this out, im extremely depressed and myserable sonce giving up my life for God. It feels like unless im absolutely perfect 100% of the time i get punnished. Yes, that’s very true. I really don’t see the harm in celebrating Christmas though, as long as you are doing it for the right reasons. For example, celebrating the fact that Jesus was born into our world - even if he wasn’t born on Christmas Day - and giving gifts to each other because the three kings brought gifts for Jesus: that’s the real reason why we give gifts for Christmas.

The sacrifices were for sins, but they were to do their best to change. It's the same as repentance today. If you do not continue in repentance and just keep sinning, Jesus is not your Lord. For some families this was not the case. Elkanah and Hannah were holy people who attended the required sacrifices in Shiloh, despite the drunken orgies held before the door of the Tabernacle by Eli's sons. If all would have been repenting and asking to be changed then going to cover their sins annually to ensure sin was covered it would have been accepted. But Israel would do their best to rituals without the repentance. Christians who think they are saved without a crucified life are in peril. The same as Israel. In Jim's videos on Professor Dave, he says that vacuum pumps didn't exist on early Earth, Dave doesn't know how soap cleans hands, and he deletes comments that don't agree w/ his views. Since these points don't seem related to OoL, what is Jim trying to say by including them in his videos? In Jim's videos on Professor Dave, he says that vacuum pumps didn't exist on early Earth, Dave doesn't know how soap cleans hands, and he deletes comments that don't agree w/ his views. Since these points don't seem related to OoL, what is Jim trying to say by including them in his videos? Is he implying Dave is so stupid, he doesn't know how soap works or needs to be told fancy technology didn't exist billions of years ago, despite him saying he doesn't think Dave is stupid? I don't get why Jim is so eager to win this fight.
Dr. Tour loves to talk about Professor Dave. He spends countless hours talking about Dave on his channel. Even after he swears to not talk about Dave, his later content including the 2-month challenge is clearly inspired by his interactions with Dave. Why? Why does Jim spend so much time talking about him? What does he hope to accomplish by focusing so much on this 1 RUclipsr who isn’t an expert on OoL or a researcher of the field?
Jim is a HUMAN BEING who ackowleges we all sin. He struggles with the attacks from Dave and I'm sure it's difficult not to focus on that. The enemy puts things in front of us that are very challenging. Pray for him instead of criticizing, and be sure that you become as aware of your own weaknesses as you are of others.

Considering Dave made a video about OoL around 6 years ago, why did he wait until Dave made a video about him specifically to finally start speaking out against abiogenesis? Why is Jim willing to let the scientific community acknowledge abiogenesis, but the second someone criticizes him, it's not OK?

Even if Professor Dave couldn't answer the 5 questions Dr. Tour proposed, so what? All he did was prove 1 guy on the internet who's not an OoL expert may not be completely right about OoL. What does Dr. Tour hope to accomplish by proving Professor Dave was wrong about OoL? Is this something he's going to proud of years in the future? Will he tell his children or grandchildren about the time he won an Internet argument against a RUclipsr in a years-long feud?
