The Walleye run has been cool. Every video is great but I’d be lying if I’m not dying for some laker sharp shooting. We’ve been hammering them and I love seeing those 40+”. Your content with tips and tricks has helped my wife and I land some pretty awesome fish. The XR is just 🤯 and worth every penny!
Ah man waited awhile for this one Clayton. Can’t wait for the next video on pike fishing. Keep up the great work and stay safe out there. Appreciate the comments on mapping. I would conquer. Bring on those PIKE!!!
Clayton, I must say that this video was a very refreshing pace. I love how you took the time to show us how you picked out the area, then narrowed it down. So many videos now are ""BEST WALLEYE LAKE EVER!" and it starts out with them hammering so many fish....but they never show the work involved getting to the point that they started at. It can take hours or even days to hunt down a honey hole and FFS plays little to no part in that.
Awesome video. I've always bounced with spinner rigs on the tougher dog days of summer with good results. You have me convinced to try these search baits as a good alternative.
It’s been a crazy year so far for wind. I’ve had to resort to going to Buffalo pound. I have a friend there with a pontoon so it’s pretty comfortable up to 50 km of wind.
Felt like I was waiting forever for a new video lol...great video...like seeing the side imaging Goin...been trying to use it more myself...learning how to read it...enjoying the tips n pointers
@@ClaytonSchickOutdoors do you have promo codes we can use to support you with Dakota Lithium, Garmin, ArcLabs, or any of your other gear that you have linked?
I've had a hell of a drought this year. Landed 5 compared to my 45 from shore. Short winter and fishing from shore has em a bit messed up and me unable to get to em
Good display of how you quickly break down the water and find the fish. definitely have to get up to LOTP one day. hard to do when we have so many good lakes on the eastern side of the province and into NWO
So nice to see side imaging and 2D being used again, FFS is getting a little boring to watch, I miss the older technologies that didn't give everything away. I would agree with you Clayton that mapping lakes will add more pressure to the fishery, thats true for sure. But FFS is far more exploitive in my opinion, it litterly shows where the fish are, were mapping at least you have to put your knowledge to work to effectively fish structure. If you had to choose to ban one or the other for conservwtion purposes, i would say the obvious choice would be FFS, at least mapping adds an element of safety for the boater when they are on unfamiliar lakes.
Love your videos clayton but enough walleye lol, give us some big pike or laker videos ! Or if youre really feeling generous give us a northern ontario musky video.
@@shadysh8s are you there for a few days yet? I feel like if you head south from where you are. Say by the power lines on the west side. Try 6-15 feet :)
@@ClaytonSchickOutdoors we decided to camp here for a couple weeks. Going out soon. Was watching this hoping to get some ideas as to what to use. Any suggestions? Live bait, cranks, trolling, etc?

@@ClaytonSchickOutdoors My wife is putting you up to the challenge of beating her 43.25” laker from last week! Plenty of season left, you got this 😜
@@ClaytonSchickOutdoors You should also go for a big ol’ 48” Pike!
Such a Great Lake! Well managed
Lots of great places to stay and play
Agreed!
Love that lake…you catch ‘em’!! Thanks for taking us into the great outdoors!!

another great video Clayton- been telling all my friends about your channel
I sure appreciate that a lot!
13 to 15 inchers taste the best. Gourmet. My favorite show. More please.

Looking good, nice presentation on the side vue.
Definitely a great fishery and place! Fun to watch 👍
Sure is!!
It's a gem of a lake. Definitely one of our favourites. I think you're right the walleye fishery is the best its been in a long time on LOTP

Dont know where u buy ur searchbait hooks at? My local shop has them, looked at price and put it back on the hanger. $20
What Dakota lithiums did you get for your Kraken? Was it the (3) 12v 100AH? Would you want more amp hours than you have?
@@DuroEC I’m running 2 12v 135ah. Fished for 3 days and didn’t charge them once. Could easily do the 100ah.

I need to get up to Lake of the Prairies. I almost ran up there last winter, but ended up staying closer to the border. 🤷♂ Looks fun, dude!
When you want to go, let me know!

How fast are you trolling your cranks and search baits?
I fish there all the time just on the other side of the bridge on the east side. The bay is excellent for shore fishing for Walleye
Very good for shore fishing!
That is Sweet!

If you haven’t dropped a fish you’re lying is true, especially if you enjoy fishing for Arctic Grayling and taking pictures of them..
$100.00 for the season??? The rent is too damn high.
Or 10$ a launch… 100$ is nothing to have a great place to launch your boat all season.
