    The Great French Philosopher Voltaire said : I am convinced that everything has come down to us from the banks of the Ganges, Astronomy Astrology Metempsychosis ect IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO NOTE that some 2500 years ago at least PYTHAGORAS went from Samos to the Ganges to learn geometry .... but he certainly not have undertaken such a strange journey had the REPUTATION of the Brahmin science not been long established in Europe

    Richard Rudd, examining the 22nd Gene Key, puts Hermes Trismegistus in a trio with Christ and Buddha: ‘we encounter three streams of teachings concerning the nature of suffering......(they) are actually one single being, which divided into three fractal aspects over the course of human evolution....Hermes Trismegistus .... goes
    by many names - Thoth, Merlin, Fu Hsi to name a few. The teaching represented by this fractal is the teaching of Alchemy or High Magic. All true Alchemy concerns the transmutation of suffering through alignment with Divine Will. The second great teacher is Christ, whose fractal represents the transmutation of suffering through love and sacrifice. Finally the third great teacher is Buddha, whose fractal represents the transmutation of suffering through wisdom and compassion......these three great fractals and their teachings form the essence of the Gene Keys revelation....

    I'm currently reading the Kybalion by Three Initiates, but heard no mention of it here...I would be very interested to hear Gary's thoughts on it. It goes in depth on the Hermetic concepts Gary referenced, mentalism(all in on, one in all) and correspondence, but includes 7 principles total, including polarization and gender, weren't all addressed here.

    the ficino translations carries bits and parts of egyptian mythology stories wrapped up ı have noticed,further more da vita is how he sees the complete issue while he has translated these texts in a way (ı do my job only style).the texts origınated from way back than ptolemic dynasty means language changed at least three times,the biggest contribution rightfully as mr lanchman says on the development of christian theology (suprisingly very very early from it)good work

Another weird thing is i've heard completely unconnected that on dmt trips they were told information by entities that pretty much was the law of one its odd stuff for sure

    Great interview!
    I geuss Gary Lachman is familiar with the most interesting library on Gnostic-Hermetic books: Bibliotheca Philosopica Hermetica in Amsterdam?
    As I commented in Another interview with Dr. Nasser on Egyptian Hermetics, “The trice Great Hermes” is not A historical person but A brotherhood Where the titel; Hermes Trismegistus or Hermes tres megistos is for the Grandmaster of the Brotherhood.
    Tahuti is the Kemetic name, Hermes Greek, Mercurius Latin and legend has It that the Myrdin or Merlin are the continuation names through time and traditions of this spiritual “White Brotherhood” (Nothing to do with Race! but Light VS the Dark forces)Who illuminate mankind A path to the light in order to break free from the wheel of Live and Death.
    Since the Old Egyptians saw these “Brothers” (or Sisters) as the bringers of Wisdom, Art, Architecture, Agriculture etc. Indeed Imhotep might have been part of them but Osiris would have been the titel bearer as Trice Great, Since he was lauded as the civilizer and bringer of harvest and ruler of the afterlife the; Douat (Quit Similar figures might have been; Viracucha, Kukulkan or Quetzalcoatl in the South and Middle Americas)
    But our handicap in the West, (And I’m very much part in this) is that we want to want to classify and name movements afterwards, A lot of times when they have left the theater. If One thing I learned in the mystery school (From which the Bibliotheca Philosophia Hermetica was brought to existence) Is that we want to desperately grab that what is not be for the taking; The universal truth is timeless and vibrates in higher Dimensions so trying to catch It is like Sissifus trying to take the grapes Above his head.....

    "That gravity should be innate, inherent, and essential to matter, so that one body may act upon another at a distance through a vacuum, without the mediation of anything else, by and through which their action and force may be conveyed from one to another, is to me so great an absurdity that I believe no man who has in philosophical matters a competent faculty of thinking can ever fall into it." -Sir Issac Newton "Newtonian Physicist's were not good at Philosophy." -Me

    RE: "Going to school in "Egypt". Could the belief that these luminaries "went to school in Egypt" be a literal rendering of a metaphorical construction? "The name 'Egypt' comes from the Greek Aegyptos which was the Greek pronunciation of the ancient Egyptian name 'Hwt-Ka-Ptah' ("Mansion of the Spirit of Ptah"), originally the name of the city of Memphis." Were these luminaries schooling themselves in the "mansion of the spirit..." rather than in physical regions of Egypt? An inner source of the knowledge only truly known by those who find it?

    • @patternsinchaos
      @patternsinchaos 5 лет назад

      Also consider "The Egyptian" translated as "the dweller in the mansion of the spirit" from the a fore mentioned obscure use of the word, "Egypt".

    • @patternsinchaos
      @patternsinchaos 5 лет назад

      Similarly,, it might be dubious to attribute this knowledge to a specific individual when the its true source is the "dweller in the mansion of the spirit". Textual history notwithstanding.

    Not to say this was not a very comprehensive discussion on this extensive topic, I don’t see any mention of the mathematical / geometric identity of Hermes. Perhaps “he” was a geometric proof or algorithm and less a living being.

    Plato = classical Attic dialect, Hermetic writings = Koiné (Common) Greek of the Hellenistic world. But you wouldn't even have to be an expert in grammar to date any Greek prose as post-Herodotus.
