  • Your career path can easily be much more than a 'worldly matter'. If you're going to study for all these years, then it might as well be a form of worship that benefits you and society. Turn your passion into your personal key to Jannah.

    As someone who wants to be a nurse, every time I see any human being I remind myself that they're a creation of Allah and so I want to treat them and inshaallah they get better. Studying the human body is also going to make us more grateful and admire how amazing every creation of Allah is and how much detail he has put into us.

    my mum always reminds me that my path in pursuing education is a form of jihad and it’s reward is immense with Allah swt so it shouldn’t be taken lightly, so when I hear that we should seek knowledge, the way i understand it is this includes both Islamic knowledge so that we know how to navigate our lives, as well as worldly knowledge so that we can be benefit to humanity and hopefully this will pour Allahs mercy on us. As Allah swt says anyone who doesn’t thank the people, doesn’t thank God and one way i understand this statement is it means we have to display our Islam to others by being off use to them.

    Salam! I'm a muslimah and my dream has always been to become a journalist or a teacher in my home country (Spain) , but sadly I don't think they would let me work with hijab, neither in the country that I live in(France🙄😂). My father told me that I could open a muslim academy or something like that, or be part of one. I don't know what I'm going to do, that's up to Allah, but my motivation is still the thought of being able to serve the Ummah. inch'Allah.❤️❤️

    SubhanAllah an ustadha was talking to us about this the other day. She asked us, what type of people donate? The rich or the poor? It's such a simple answer to a very simple question but it made us realize how those who work towards becoming successful (while pleasing Allah) have the ability to donate and give back more to their community. Anything we do with the intention of pleasing Allah can be ibadah, which is one of the most beautiful parts of our religion.
    She also mentioned how those who are successful can be very influential to nonmuslims by giving them dawah. After two strong men in the prophet's ﷺ time converted to Islam, Umar ibn Khattab and Hamza, the deen became public to the people of Mecca. Similarly, successful & respected muslims of our time have the power to show the beauty of our deen to others.
    May Allah keep us steadfast and make us amongst those who are successful in this life and the next, ameen.

    This mindset truly changed my perspective because I had never thought of it that way. As someone who was in their third year of university but dropped out last semester because I didn't enjoy my computer science career, I recognize the importance of this mindset. I don't want to say I wish things had been different because it's my qadr, and Alhamdulillah, because the taqwa and honesty weren't there at the time. It's crucial to understand that you are just as important as someone who studies the deen, especially as someone living in the West, where we as Muslims have the opportunity to gradually change societal standards and reduce corruption. It may seem impossible, especially since we have been built on racism, fascism, oppression, and corruption. If you have the will, Allah will find a way for you. A little goes a long way, and we should never lose hope.
    Jazakallah khair for this insight. Now, I can implement this mindset when I return to university, and I can truly strengthen my reasoning for what I want to do and why I want to do it, inshallah. Your videos open up so many different perspectives that I hadn't considered but are incredibly important. واللّهِ may Allah reward you immensely.

      Salam alaykoum, I just wanted to say that I am just like you. I don't enjoy computer science. However, I am getting my Masters degree this year. Throughout all this years, I was always sad and lost (I still feel lost) because I didn't really like Computer Science, it's so consuming and depressing, at least for me because of imposter syndrome. Tbh, I don't even know what I like. I do love chemistry, agronomy, languages, all forms of arts... but when I look on the long run. I know, at least in my country, I won't get a well paying job afterward. So I had to sacrifice,or so I thought, to pick CS. I'm still lost but I came across a video of a sheikh saying that قناعة contentment with what Allah gave you is the best thing ever. Indeed Allah is the best of planners, just believe in that and be patient and grateful for what he gave you, you'll see the results eventually 😊 : {وَعَسَى أَنْ تَكْرَهُوا شَيْئًا وَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَكُمْ وَعَسَى أَنْ تُحِبُّوا شَيْئًا وَهُوَ شَرٌّ لَكُمْ وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ وَأَنْتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ} [البقرة: 216]}.
      With all this being said, it doesn't mean your obliged to go back to cs maybe you stopping is a plan of Allah for something better for you. Just take your time and dont be harsh on yourself. May Allah help and guide us all through the Dunya and Akhirah.
      Oh and regarding the video, my mom brought me up with this mindset since I was a child. Now that I'm in CS I'm always thinking of how to help Ummah with my apps. Maybe we can help each other 😅

    if I’m not mistaken As Shafi’i rahimahullah said being a physician is best after being a da’ee. It’s either As Shafi’i or Imam Malik rahimahullah. Also the scholars are the heirs to the prophets and are higher in rank.

    The message to shift your intention in order to make your work 'ibadah is good. But when talking about rank and status with Allah, the people of knowledge are the heirs of the Prophets as mentioned in a hadith and thus have a higher rank with Allah, this is because they rectify people's religious affairs whilst other professions rectify people's worldly affairs.

    • @yassinhassan336
      @yassinhassan336 Месяц назад

      I also want to add this as you have mentioned, this is from your perspective. In reality, parents push their children to become doctors and engineers, not to go seek knowledge. In fact they may very likely discourage them from doing so and society as a whole will put the worldly expert on a pedestal and look at the scholar or student of knowledge as someone who probably didn't have good enough grades to get into medicine and engineering.

      Absolutely, can’t disagree with that.

    • @YoussefWaly11
      @YoussefWaly11  Месяц назад

      The point you made about status is definitely correct, but id like to give an example. You will find many videos on the internet now where scholars will say TECHNICALLY speaking men are greater than woman with the fact that Allah has chosen men to be prophets and that there are more “complete” men than complete women (this is not something I’m arguing, I’m just stating what I’ve heard), but this “greater” refers to a specific HONOR and RESPONSIBILITY given to them and it doesn’t mean the fact that you are a man means that you are seen as better in the eyes of Allah Besides, the women at the time of the prophet and people like Asyah and Maryam are greater than all men nowadays. With the honor given to the scholars of Islam it works somewhat similarly. Hopefully that analogy makes sense.

    • @yassinhassan336
      @yassinhassan336 Месяц назад

      @@YoussefWaly11 If you use that analogy to say that not every person of knowledge is higher in status than someone who doesn't have the same amount of knowledge, Allahu a'lam, only Allah knows his awliya and we can only have حسن الظن. More knowledge should imply more piety which is the factor that determines your rank with Allah as Allah says ان اكرمكم عند الله اتقاكم and نَّمَا يَخْشَى اللَّهَ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ الْعُلَمَاءُ and 'ulama here doesn't mean you have to have a pHD from Medina or Azhar but you need knowledge to truly fear Allah and to worship Him correctly. 'Ilm is the source of every good.

    1:09 there is something i want to acknowledge here which is the scholars you mentioned i specifically don't agree with there political bias and if you want to know who is better than them now the one who gives his life to allah in fighting in battle and the ones that are better than those are the ones that's spend their lives learning the religion and then went to give their life against betrayers like all of the presidents / kings / princes of Arab countries so for anyone reading my message if you know arabic or learning arabic i recommend watching Salah Abo Ismail videos i hope that the injustice on him one day ends and for summary he is now imprisoned in Egypt since 2013 if you found an english translations to his videos i highly recommend them but the main thing you should know that he is mostly talking about problems facing the Arab muslims so you may get a deep knowledge about how things work in most Arab countries and their people and don't forget to pray for him.

    Very close minded selection of scholars. Before the rise of Ibn Saud, other scholars were held in much higher esteem. Like Ibn Khaldun, Al-Shatibi, and Al-Suyuti, amongst many many others.

      I know many more scholars I don’t need to mention them all in order for what I said to be “open-minded”.
      That’s like the last thing I wanted you to take away from the video.

      @@YoussefWaly11 Don't worry akhi, I got your message and I fully agree with it. I hope you do not take my comment in such a negative light. Being someone who has sat down with various living scholars to study the works of past scholars, I feel that many layman Muslims do not get the full taste of the large tapestry of Islamic scholarship.
      In any case, I wish you well in your studies of medicine and biology.

      I apologize, it’s hard to understand someone’s tone through a message because I get a lot of messed up comments. Jazakallah.

    As much as the beauty of the scholars can make you question life "dunya" pathways to their pathway "which clearly more toward the good of the next life " ..im afraid that this talk can make people see the path of them is not even as islamic as being doctor or engineer or business ....etc but even its lower ! ..brother people by default loving the dunya loving to get positon in this life and loving to get money ..they don`t need someone to tell them be a doctor be and engineer get a positon in dunya ge money ! ..the opposite of learining islam ..in fact i think we somehow don`t have enough muftis or qura`n teachers or >>islamic scholars to carry the islam any more ..we need more message carriers more islam students to teach people the detailed religon ..not just let a doctor with good nyah "ikhlas " and general random knowledge of the deen ..in fact i disagree also with "having job in this life "dunya " is as islamic or worship as being scholar ..the prophet (saw) in the famous hadith in that specific point "..The superiority of the learned man over the devout worshipper is like that of the full moon to the rest of the stars (i.e., in brightness). The learned are the heirs of the Prophets who bequeath neither dinar nor dirham but only that of knowledge; and he who acquires it, has in fact acquired an abundant portion " ..so learning the deen is actually superior to the rest of someone devoted his life for allah"s worshiping" in salah and reading quran and so .." !! let alone someone just working in some dunya job ! ..that being said ..i think the sheikh by "religous doctor " that u simply can do both !"learn islam and learn to be a doctor " it is possible ..but u need what we all must agree on which is the good intentions "niyah " and sincerity"ikhlas" to use your this life "dunya" job to help u worship allah better without being in need for someone to give u ur food and money to live at which u struggle to have freedom to worship allah swt ..and ofcourse ospread the da3wah in ur job by being good in it and fix the corruption in ur place as u can on the way ..well ..there is no such thing of comparison and excpecting of allah presepctive of rewarding people except what allah told us "allah dont look to ur shapes and bodie but looks to ur hearts " and in qura`n "إن أكرمكم عند الله أتقاكم "=O, people! We created you from a male and a female, and We made you races and tribes, so that you may come to know one another. The best among you before Allah is the most righteous. Allah is Knowing and Aware. " Surah al-Hujurat ..we dont say all people can do both ..or all people must free themselves for only study detailed islam ..u can use whatever place u r at but to serve u and help u worship allah better and if u have the chance and ability "enough money to carry ur self and who u are responsible for or less life responsibility like family to feed or .." and u actually ur really good in studying islam not have time problem that ur time being consumed in this dunya job and can make a good scholar faster if u have time ..why dont devote ur self for islam and deliver the message ?! ..as a breif all of us need certain level of knowledge of deen "islam " that we cant ignore and the rest of details we use our brothers who higher in islamic knowledge ..and we all need the sincerity and good "niyah "intentions by working while looking toward allah swt or all our work is just a waste ..the higher degree according to allah swt is most righteous the one that fear allah most ..and believe me or not to fear allah and worship allah ..u must learn ..the more learned u r the more u likely "not for bad hearts sure " to fear allah ..so "fear allah as u can " and ask allah for guidance all the way and ask him ikhlas and acceptance .may allah guid us to right path ..and sory for my bad english .

      You’ve definitely misunderstood the video. I can see you have given a sincere criticism and I have no doubt it is with good intention, but 99% of what you said supports what I said in my video in of itself. It is the job for every Muslim to learn about his religion to do his ibadah correctly, to know right from wrong, and so on… but what I’m referring to is the career pathway. For example, whether a student wants to go to study in Madinah University (which is not something everyone has to do) or whether they want to pursue a career as for example an architect in another university. The “learned Muslim” does not refer to me becoming a mufti or a sheikh, I can become a learned Muslim without doing that, I can pursue many careers and still become a learned Muslim. We need scholars, muftis, doctors, engineers, and so on… it is very difficult to reply to each statement you said one by one, but none of what you said goes against the video.

      @Hodow.ela.eltayb You can become an educated Muslim that fears Allah that gives dawah to others no matter what field you’re in. Jazakallahu khair but this is just an unecessary criticism.
